I am a BB player and play all of them, from T5 onwards. I started Ranked with Bismarck but stalled at Rank 10, personally I think it's still geared towards good DD players. I stop using the Bismarck and get a Benson. I rise from Rank 10 to Rank 7 in under 24 hours. Why would that be? Bismarck isn't a invincible supership, it still eats torps and focus fire just like any other BB. Just don't reveal yourself to it if you're within 10km...

I like my p2w Scharn out of all the T7 BB and I own every single one. It's guns are simply great fun to use and don't listen to those who say you need HE for other BB. Even if u only do 2k/3k per salvo with AP (will usually be a bit more) you get to fire an extra salvo a minute and the damage will often add up to the equal of the 16" users.

I have no idea why ppl are crying over the Bismarck when the Benson is the ultimate Ranked weapon... It's essentially a Sims with amazing torps, has a big advantage in DD knife fights and can stealth torp with the best of them. Bismarck still dies and gets farmed without support.

Bismarck/Tirp have very competent guns. They pack enough of a punch to never feel short changed. It's just that before with the Tirp if RNG was having an off day then you'd do very little damage whereas with Bis secondaries you still won't disgrace even if the main guns don't want to hit anything.

An intelligent DD will still farm Bis all day long, 10k secondaries or not. HOWEVER, if a Bismarck is supported by allied DD/planes/cruisers etc then it is an utter monster. DD will go down extremely fast if spotted in secondary range.

Nothing wrong with a lot of those figures...

I agree that it's a great addition to the Bismarck atleast but it gives up nothing to have such powerful secondaries. It's AA is still good and the 8x15" guns are not bad by any standards.

It's useless, BoS and flags can lower any burn to something like 40 secs. Plus Prem consumables can repair/put out the fires.

My ranked team laughed earlier when I got a "close quarters expert" as I got a 10.6km kill with the Bismarck. Were you that guy?

Because its competitive, it doesn't always make for "fun" action packed gameplay. BB secondary smoke meta is bull cr@p as if your DD hasn't smoked you then you'll take 10k+ of damage from something you can't reply to unless your ship has torps. Plus any BB with sense has to bow in and not risk broadsides as the other team's BB will be waiting (sometimes along time) for that moment... A lot of Ranked is treading water

The 15 to 11 bracket is very hard to escape, lots of people playing silly ships or just general bad play. Standard in 10 to 6 is a fair bit better.

The plunging nature of the NC's shells gives epic devastating strikes or quartering of the German BB's HP when you're accurate yes. Bismarck performs better for less work and it's side armour is far more forgiving if you've made a mistake. Just keep everything at about 7km in the Bismarck and reap the rewards with the DOT secondary power

That's the same with any competitive game, everyone will use the same old guns/weapons/characters/ships etc If you don't like it then don't play and I actually agree with you as this game is more "casual" than most online stuff, as I keep saying when I get my hands on the black flag I'm NEVER playing Ranked again

Ultra concealment Fubuki are strong but they get clubbed by Bensons. Maybe one Fubuki with Benson support. I'm still not sure about the NC. Amazing frontal armour and has a heavy front salvo unlike the Germans but rubbish secondaries/ no torps and squishy sides make her far less forgiving.

A good Benson will roll any Trashkent, it's just better at the ranges DD mix it up in. I'd imagine most Benson players would take SE too. Perfect Ranked team would probably just be Bensons, Bismarcks and Atagos.

Impressive Sir, reaching 1 so fast. Just goes to show Ranked still favours the DD. They spot for the team and kill other DD, hold caps and the favourable areas and watch the other team get strangled slowly. Repeat etc. "Only" an 58% win ratio too although i bet you didn't lost many stars!

I've only had a handful of games out of the 60+ I've had in Ranked so far I could actually call close and competitive. Almost all games are a rofflestop one way or the other. There seems to be very little competition. Anyone else found this?

Really? For all the power of the Bismarck, its still nothing without DD escorts. So much that I might change to the Benson tomorrow despite being a hard core BB player. Got to Rank 5 last season in a Blys and I don't feel the meta has changed all that much... In any game, if the DD yolo at the start then the rest of the team is going to follow even if they are 150k BB monsters.

DD are still extremely strong yes, despite some BB being extremely powerful. A Bismarck can't go solo end game whereas a Benson can. They should address the star system maybe. Have far less movement possibly? With only maybe the best and worst players on a team gaining or losing stars? Alot of ppl have commented that their Ranked games get them nowhere after alot of hours.WG might as well set this in stone rather than the depressing Win Loss Win Loss Win Loss star progression now...

Sims was extremely dangerous in the last season of Ranked. Low concealment and rapid fire guns. Range is irrelevant in true DD as their job is to knife fight other DD then get some stealth torps in the water if they survive. That's why I'm loathed to get her, wouldn't be able to use my Trashkent captain. I have a Blys with a 15 point captain in case a T7 Ranked Season ever rears its head again.

No RL CV would deploy it's birds so close to the action. This game puts them at massive risk from being blown up compared to the ranges they would have deployed planes at...

I save my reports for the first 7 people per day who gives their own team negative abuse. Especially the guy who dies first in Ranked then says "Thanks for help"

NC seems fairly good in Ranked but you're still at the mercy of your own DD spotting for you. A bow in slow moving target is a sitting duck for torps. Also any well specced Bismarck will kill a NC fairly easily by going bow in too and chipping away at you with Secondaries.

I can understand that, I only want to hit Rank 1 for the Jolly Roger flag. I will never play it again as I don't care for the reward ship and I'd rather buy my own doubloons and farm my own flags than go through the grind.

Not an issue, I can respec my 15 point Iowa captain if I want to get the cash out. Top tier play is garbage, my Iowa and Yam rust in port. Might as well re employ the captain...
