Is the Premier League much different in standard of play?

T8 BB with no prem consumables... Bad times tho with the TKer, I feel glad I'm the bracket above. The standard of play is marginally higher. Hope they get banned, Ranked is frustrating enough without outright TK.

It's the 3rd time I've recovered Rank 6 and it can only get harder from here on...

That's because you have Lex players who go Strike and waste bombs on full HP NC instead of hunting DD...

Issue is that if you don't have CE then any CE Benson will get one, maybe two salvos on you before you can even act. That could send you back to port pretty fast.

If your Benson doesn't have CE then you might find things harder...

Ranked is a knife edged DD battle. I switched from the Bismarck to the Benson as a result. At least if I lose I only have myself to blame...

Under 5km in an Amagi is a massive risk for the IJN ship. Bus/Tirp can be smashed through the deck at long range, could even get a cit. Sounds like he got a bit lucky with RNG. Germans mostly soak up damage well at close ranges.

Even folk at higher Ranks take out the Amagi into battle. Whilst I think it's totally the wrong ship for Ranked play there are some obviously doing pretty well in it. Can't write off that heavy 10 gun salvo...

Lost a game last night essentially due to a Strike load out Lex. No idea how they got to the 10 to 6 bracket...

Save BB for last usually, even the lol pls nerf Bismarck is nothing without support. Radar is fairly easy to prepare for, look at the enemy line up and don't get as close until your BB have nuked your molester... Once dead it's back to normal service.

The guy who feels torps do reliable damage still sails in straight lines... Granted someone good can predict where you turn but it doesn't assure you epic Devastating Strikes

When I face Tirps in my Bismarck I make sure not to wander in under 6km and instead turn away at 7km or so to stop being torped. If you face a Bismarck you can adopt that tactic except make it 10km for the secondaries. Easy...

Oh yeah at the lower tiers u can play anything as long as you're good. I was getting huge damage games with Bismarck in Ranks 15 to 11 but higher up its far less likely due to better DDs.

Carrying in a BB is hard too if the DD die as you get picked off by torps and long range cruiser snipers... Hence why i switched from a fully upgraded Bismarck to a CE captain Benson. DD or CV are the only true carrys imo.

If i wanted to be effective I would play DD with CE captains all day long but I don't enjoy their gameplay as much as in a BB. CV are stronk as hell in Ranked, especially IJN ones (altho I encountered a USN one that was unstoppable). They have an even bigger sway over a battle than DDs do, probably the one ship class that is close to limitless potential. Which is a bit of an issue this season, a T8 CV needs a significant investment in time and grinding for the player to be effective at it but once they are the disparity is massive compared to a free XP kiddie. Pair that with the general lack of them in game and I can see a good CV player shooting up the ranks. Well done by the way

Benson with CE is extremely strong. Only a CE Fubuki will out spot you. Armed with that you can pick almost any engagement especially when radar cruisers & CV are endangered...

These flags are best used on Prem Ships as they'll never use their own XP...

I think WG didn't money grab for the Bismarck because they likely made an obscene amount of money already on the Tirpitz!! Plus a bet a lot of folk free XPed to the Bismarck so would have bought some dubs.

15 to 11 is rough, it was a few days ago and I imagine it's worse now. Had an argument with someone who insisted on going solo as he claimed it worked countless times. Here's how I see it: Going solo means you may take a cap and may kill a enemy ship or two BUT if you fail you'll essentially yolo with no prospect of being top of the losing team. So it's a knife edged and somewhat stupid tactic. Please play as a team and support each other

Yeah, feels like 75%+ of games are really 1 sided. Like when one team cracks another or the other team loses DD first then everyone else seems to collapse...
