Lex as strong as Shokaku!? It really isn't and if the CV guy is that good to make up the difference then they really should be in the IJN ship. I can only recall a single Lex that i played with that didn't get farmed this season.

I honestly couldn't tell you 100% how to Atago. She's multi role and you should support DD and stack BB fires when possible. Her torps are as good as any DD too and have op coverage. Just stay alive as you can't influence a game dead, even if you kill 3 there is no guarantee your team won't yolo throw the game. Don't force a cap or kill if you'll die as a result.

Thing is there is the odd Ranked game that's competitive and has great team play from both sides but they're rare. Probably 10% of Premier League games maybe. Most Ranked games are one sided stomps because DDs have failed to cap/spot/have died so their team just gets picked off.

oh I feel that pain. It's why I played Atago and tried my hardest to back up friendly DDs so they don't F up. The MM was a bit crazy, not as bad as S4 but still had things like all DD games (with most of those Fubuki) and BB fests.

Even a Scharnorst can hack away at other Germans for 5k+ every salvo if you're aiming right.

I believe Ranked had always been extremely DD bias. Unless there is a CV in the MM. Everything starts with DD and if yours suck then the rest of you are just spectators quite often. I'm not too keen on it either. Had no choice but to join in the meta really...

AFT and range extending AA module does me fine in her.

in a fight you wouldn't be shooting first and you'll need to be careful with revealing yourself and if you are then you'd try and make yourself as hard to hit and unappealing as possible. It's entirely possible to do well and make a decent contribution as a cruiser.

AFT and AA modules is enough for most CV attacks. I Don't think manual AA cover will protect you from the God tier Hakryu with triple T10 squadrons, someone can prove me wrong I hope but I don't think anything other than stacked Defensive Fire can stop that. Low concealment in a huge BB gives you a lot of options. Wait for the next PT and experiment then.

I went with AFT then Concealment. It's funny having a ship the size of an Iowa with 12km detection. Helps you run from the Yams too. I played the NC recently and it feels massively buffed compared to what i remember. I might buy her camo and stay with her.

Manual AA with AFT looks like where I'm going with Dunkers high level captain skills. Covers her biggest weakness (bad AA)

German BB can fall short vs good players as they can't hit as hard as their peers. E.g Tirp and Bis with 8x15" is weak compared to the 9x16" and 10x16" of their peers. T8 German BB essentially have alpha damage that's around tier 6.5... Even if you say on paper the Bayern has similar guns to the Warspite. In reality there's a gulf between their damage dealt due to German derp accuracy.

The Germans are a little under gunned. You only really notice this if you go back to IJN/USN BB after extensive KM play and marvel at the big numbers! Back to the topic though, the Naga armour is okay really. Always angle and focus on survival. Don't be too keen to get the rear turrets into play, it's better to stay safe than risk a massive cit. 4 16" shells will still make anything outside of a top tier BB consider their options

Did I say I'd rather pay money for the JR? I don't recall that i did. Having no Irrevocable Ranks wouldn't make it any harder for those who deserve to be there. I've lost ranks but I've regained them too. Maybe the format is fine as it is then...

Imo there should be NO irrevocable Ranks after about 20. Then someone will simply need to be able to hard carry to get anywhere near the top. Granted there will still be games that are unwinnable but I've never had a big issue with losing Ranks. Someone who deserves to be there will stay as they'll be vs bad folk as often as they're on their team.

Played a game in mine last night, got blown away with the rest of my potato team. Did get a 27k salvo on an Amagi though, something the Germans around her tier could only dream of.

Imo Warspite is not a brawler but an elegant mid range shooter. I've tried taking turret rotation and secondary builds but settled on the standard accuracy module. Played a game in her last night. First in weeks after the pain of Ranked. Farmed all who came with 100k+ damage. I was top tier mind you. The rotation and slightly slow gun trajectory need to be worked with. More so than other BB but the results once you have an understanding are well worth it.
