Warspite has always taken a lot of HE damage. Even DD HE seems to do well against her, been on both receiver and giver sides countless times. Don't forget the decks themselves are doused in petrol

Yes! DB'ing the tip of the ship so you don't take much damage and have 60 seconds of turbo rearm.

Maybe but my FDG performance increases steadily and I'm already experienced at higher tier. If 406mm are your thing then go use them, be glad we have the choice...

That stupid burning take off skill... WG should HALVE the time it takes to re-arm when you're burning then that would have made it almost worth taking. As it would give you half a chance vs stuff that has the jump on you.

I'm scoring far more citadels vs BBs with 420mm... Whether that is because I am used to the Fat Freddy after X amount of games OR they're just better remains to be debated however. Bigger the better imo, alpha is important at higher tiers when windows of opportunity are supposedly less, then again I look at all the T10 Yam and KurryWurst potatoes with their no risk perm camo...

Keep them all, don't sell unless you really need the port space as you might change your mind one day. I find i hit Fat Freddy and Gross KurryWurst for citadels far more often (every other game or more) in higher tier BBs of all flavours. Iowa, Monty, Yam and FDG. Seems like 406mm and above is enough to defeat even the thickest armour when exposed. Germans T8 or lower still seem to resist full on cit strikes but will take massive pen damage.

I actually think Anshan and now Tirp earn more with their camos than the 200% free XP on any other ship. Tirp camo looks largely like the original, I don't notice the difference when playing so it's fine by me. Like a ice mint flavour of the original -
BB torp detonations always confuse me as they're under the turrets which is fine but isn't that where the belt is fairly thick? Like taking one on the nose will flood you and do big damage but if you put it further up the ship you run the risk of being up instantly... Fun and engaging etc
