Sorry but I actually LIKE the captain skill shake up. But that is because I own a number of high level captains. German BBs can go full secondaries (Manual and AFT) with Fire Prevention which makes them extremely strong at brawling. Gunboat DDs can go full map hack with zen like awareness of the enemy positions. Every CV player can be on a level playing field with regards to their planes and squadron sizes now. Nikolai somehow has been buffed again, it is almost wrong to take Fire Prevention. Add High Alert and BoS then the ship achieves Godlike status. And then I realise it's probably just my ego taking over as I bash those who either can't work out what new skills are powerful or have weak captains and can't compete with the more experienced guys. I imagine in a week or less once all the exploits have gotten boring I'll hate it as much as most of the others as it may not be great for the game overall. But right now I'm having fun. WG, do you even play test these things?

Fat Freddy is quite nice actually, it's essentially a huge Bismarck. Grosse KurryWurst looks a bit wrong to me, it's proportions are all a bit silly.

Don't wimp out now! Do it!! I just played one in the Nikoali too. Seriously these captain skill changes feel obscene, they've made the game more unbalanced. Nikolai Captain only needs Fire Prevention now and the ship essentially becomes invincible vs the average seal you might encounter. No need for any other level 4 skills, might save up for High Alert and BoS for ultimate immunity...

Look on the bright side, atleast the core CV skills are in everyone's reach now and anything after 10 points is essentially luxury skills...

Has anyone done this yet? I just did in a Clemson with RDF, felt so good to be bad. Everyone who is serious should pledge to play atleast 1 T4 seal club game a day

I shamelessly seal clubbed, with RDF. It felt kind of good, especially the part when a clearly noob Phoenix was trying to hide behind an island to get me. I saw his every move and he ate an entire broadside of torps... I will club seals every single day I play until WG patch out the map hack.

I don't think Priority Targetting is that game breaking. It is a useful consideration for cruisers but I'm going to skip it personally. It's no map hack

It's especially bad when you can see something that isn't on the mini map and you in turn are not spotted with any enemy RDF when you just "know" it is an unsuspecting DD. Like your clip...

I don't buy it when people say pros like Flamu don't need it. Not even Flamu is that precise with his game sense unless he is psychic and actually Professor Xavier

Na, the only logical and sane conclusion is that this skill is broken on gunboat DD. On something like a Benson or a Fletcher it is obscene, RDF and CE then you're ready to rock. As USN gunboats don't really need any of the other level 4 skills. It's the flow of information to anyone with a brain, with the mini map, last locations, current locations and the constant direction icon you can play with confidence with real awareness of what's going on around you. That in a DD is worth more than anything. It feels like I'm hacking when I use it

SI or go home.... I often use all 5 charges in a battle for a BBs heal, run out of smoke in DDs and cheese smoke cruisers etc

Is this a game where we guess how a Bismarck violated OP? Was it... A) Hydro still works and you were detected then hunted down by super secondaries? B) RDF combined with the above meant that your pathetic efforts to torp Bis failed? C) Your weak little HE spammer Cruiser was unable to light more than one fire on Bis and it just parked 10km from you, raking you to death with secondaries alone? D) You tried to duel one in another BB but as you took Bismarck's HP lower and lower, it's guns got faster and faster so you blew up? E) You tried to attack Bismarck with planes and they simply vanished in a hail of Manual AA enhanced fire and float planes? F) You tried duelling one, again in another BB but somehow his IPHE blew you up whilst your pathetic AP shells over penned him every time? G) A combination of the above? H) Something else all together?

EA proved that fan service and loyalty mean nothing. Endless DLC to milk new folk who aren't serious gamers... The cynical business model works boys

You'll find that quite a few of us spend a fair but on this game and would continue to do so if it developed well. I'm finding the game is getting a little stale, feels like there is a drift towards dumbing down and bad game modes. I'm a Rank 1 winner but I'm not sure I can be bothered to exert myself again for a Flint and clans don't interest me as I don't keep regular hours.

How many of those new joining potatoes actually stay for more than a month or two? Before moving onto something else or just not playing? I guess Victor doesn't care as he still gets paid and when the influx of noobs dries up it's time to close the game as non profitable and move on... A decent community with competitive gameplay keeps a game running and raises the company profile.

I switch it off anyway. I've found it is erratic and causes me to crash... I've actually got no idea how it works so would rather steer myself!

So the TLDR is WG wish to make ships a brawl frenzy with no strategy. Despite the game being built towards intelligent, thought out play...

RE my missing box. WG answered my ticket and claimed it was impossible for a container to disappear lol Oh well, I can't be bothered to chase it up anymore as the gift will likely be more flags or camo that I already have tonnes of.
