A few ppl on here have done it now. My grind really took off with NY camo and truck load of Papa Papa flags in the Santa boxes over Christmas. Prem time and really hitting the weekend bonuses really helped too. Plus getting the Flags and Consumables daily containers. A lot of those boxes give 500 free xp which adds up fairly fast.

Unlocking Missouri and staying strong. Didn't spend any money, just free XP grinding.

Killed a smoked up RN cruiser just now with it. Yes you can watch his shells but having real time updates makes smoke torping so much more effective. Also noticed RDF is invaluable in island fights with a lot of cover to hide behind.

The amount of squadrons shouldn't be an issue to any online RTS veteran. You should be "very" busy on the keyboard, constantly looking at units, selecting and issuing orders, clicking again. It should be fairly frantic but managing even the Hakuryu's groups shouldn't test anyone who's been in Starcraft or Warcraft 3. If you are idle then chances are something is going wrong for you.

Kongo has some of the best BB aesthetics ever if you ask me, so elegant looking... If only WG would do a "Texas" on her and make a late WW2 AA fortress Prem ship. I'd pay too. Especially with the IJN flag colours as a camo (I know that won't happen as you'd make SEA server cry)

A bad bow tank yes, but it's a specific tactic you employ vs the main force of enemy ships. It's harder than you think for DDs to side torp you as you likely won't be alone. Likewise, if you're with Cruisers then no CV is going to try and bomb you. You'd also start to move when the game looks like it's about to get mobile again. It's not a go to tactic but one you employ to give your team time to set up/spam shells at things. You can do the whole concealment thing too, they're not mutually exclusive of one another. German Turtleback is over hyped. A broadside German BB doesn't get overpenned and instead will take anything from 10k to 25k+ salvos from high tier BB AP. I've yet to see an NC take cruiser citadels, an Iowa yes but NC's citadel sits lower in the water.

NC needing to turn is negated by knowing when to stop and bow tank... It's a specific tactic used by high tier USN and IJN BB. Bismarck doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as a well aimed NC salvo. Besides all BB need support. I couldn't hit Rank 1 last season with the Bismarck but could in an Atago even though i main BB.

Got Missouri today, after a bit of free XP grinding. Converted about 200k of free xp via the 35 ratio Xmas deal, otherwise with no money pumped in (the doubloons for conversion were via Santa boxes). Nothing amazing, just an Iowa. Guns feel pretty much the same, ship does apart from radar instead of a float plane. But all that was obvious from her stats. I personally doubt the extra few mm of armour makes any difference whatsoever, Yam will still lol pen you. Don't rush to get her but a nice little ship.

Well the amount of games I play where the enemy doesn't use this is fairly staggering. Then again I laugh when I see someone on the other team use it when I seal club in my Clemson!

Guess fire chance is one big RNG roll. As I've played games with that silly IJN T4 Prem BB with almost no fires even though that thing is a flame cannon...

I use it on my USN DDs and Atago (blame her Ranked role as a DD Hunter). Not worth it on other ships, let the dedicated anti DD crew do their work. Not even on RU DD would I take this, as you shouldn't be knife fighting and any other DD revealing themselves against you "should" get out gunned.

Tirp has maybe suffered power creep, however 0.6.0 changes that as you can have a stealth build with Manual AA so she can kill planes like a USN BB now. And since Nikolai was released she's only been buffed. Preferred MM and now Fire Prevention as the only sensible 4th level skill. Just missing Vigilance and a CV div buddy and she'll be functionally immortal.

I still pop after 2, as the bow does catch fire sometimes. I've taken CE on my Kongo instead of FP, concealment falls to about 13km which is far more comfortable, especially when vs T7. Will take 2nd 4th skill as FP if I don't get Vigilance first. With Fuso I've taken FP as that stupid massive pagoda tower burns seemingly perpetually...

My only issue with CV MM is WG took so long to mirror it! I remember old seasons of Ranked where a CV could have the run of a map. If only I could have abused them then...

If you're landing 150+ hits a game I can't see a few percent being an issue. Same with not taking DE on my Atago, I'm still getting enough fires. The fire chance mechanic is a little messed up I feel anyway. Like the Gremy seems to start fires within a few salvos every time even if it's fire chance isn't that high on paper.

Anyone else find the fire chance is essentially no different with this equipped?

CVs in general appear to have no middle ground. Either players are awful or they're hard carries and rekt everyone. The amount of opposing CVs I've played that show BAD on their stats is comical. I still own my Langley but haven't harvested seals in it for awhile.

Kirov taking bow cits from DD AP is always a source of amusement...

Maybe, Iowa/Monty with the module do perform very well. I think its just that one good 460mm hit does what half a dozen 406mm wished they could...

The most accurate BBs I feel are Nikolai, Warspite, Yam/Arizona then everyone else in that order. Most NC issues are down to RNG and shooting when too far away. At about 12km or less the guns are deadly. OPs issue however lol...

Personally I prefer Manual AA instead of CE, with the other two level 4 skills obviously being AFT and Manual Secondaries. Patches the only (slight) weakness the Bismarck has, you kill planes almost as well as a USN BB.

And many more we should have in the future Saw Ast3lan Just now on Shatter, we lost but was still a good game. Shame the last two guys were fairly potato...

I believe it is a supertester ship used on their test servers. Probably really fast with op guns so it can zip around testing various things.

Not sure yet but it seems like standard of play has fallen through the floor since 0.6.0 So many games where entire teams make no effort to cap and just sail slowly behind a cap, fire a few shots then bleed out on points and lose.
