I've got a 12 point Naga captain and I've taken the extra float plane skill, EM, SI and CE. I don't feel buffing secondaries is worth while as it's 2x4 skill points and you'll still lose to Germans. AA buffing is expensive and you'll never stop a determined CV also. If I do take Naga into Ranked I will get lots of lower skills like Vigilance, AR and JoAT. They'll offer decent advantages i think.

Maybe I won't even bother collecting containers and let them accumulate in my port automatically now. I don't want to be trolled by a so called "Super" container, getting my hopes up for a 600k module or 4 flag boxers in a normal container.

Depends what you already own I guess. I'd be silly to personally since I own NC, Monty and Missouri. Unless there is something insane about it other than it's torp belt, but then people would complain as IJN get under cooked Prem BB whereas USN get powered up ones.

Nerfing both the Flag Box and denying us 250 flag SC means that those who don't play that much are denied a flow of flags. Yes they're free gifts but it looks like WG regret being so generous and have just snatched it back now. It'll hurt casuals the most as the more hard core among us will have huge stock piles. Guess WG want casuals to spend more money on consumables.

The start of a Ranked game is going to be as it always has been: Anti DD. Once their numbers thin down I imagine Belfasts will do their thing.

I think what he means is pre aiming, selecting target, shooting then quickly de selecting. That trolls lesser players big time.

That is why I prefer the Fiji. Torps stop bigger ships trying to out muscle you in smoke. The slight smoke buff looks nice too, a bigger cloud to hide in.

Hopefully the maps are kinder. In previous seasons I've seen T7 on Tears of the Desert and a Colorado spawning in far A, if the fight is at C then the BB is basically out the game.

No, that's valid. Thing is there are a few strong USN and other Prem BBs that offer pain free training. Whilst I could probably handle this ship, it isn't going to be as easy as jumping in a Scharn or Missouri (or even Arizona since she's same tier). We've been spoilt by WG's patchy Prem policy and my view point is a victim of this.

T7 radar won't have op range or duration either. Will have to wait a day and see. I don't plan to take a DD into Ranked anyway. Not even my 15 point one.

The Eastern Bloc sisters are less likely to take RDF too but there will likey be plenty of DD detection out there.

Belfast really needs a 14 point captain to unlock her full potential whereas a Fiji can rock at 10. (I'm assuming both get CE and Belfast adds IFHE). BBs won't be your main target, if you're shooting cruisers then sAP will potentially citadel. Mind you some paper cruisers take HE citadel...

Yes, tactics were often to cap, stop the bleed then whoever makes the first mistake/decent kill. Radar meta may steal from DD knife fighting importance yes. I imagine we'll see more radar this season than ever before.

I'm finding I do just as well in a Fiji than the Belfast in Random Battles. This may differ in Ranked but I tend to do more damage in the Fiji as her torps are excellent. Only 3 a side but with single launching you really have a lot of control over them.
