Must take Vigilance on a T7 BB if you're going into Ranked. It will save your @$$ You still need to be aware of your surroundings still! My Gnesi has Directional Control, Adrenaline Rush, Superintendent, Concealment Expert & Manual AA then Vigilance. I will probably take Expert Marksman as my last skill taking me to 19 points. No it's not fully Ranked optimised as CE is more of a Random Battle skill (Gnesi and Tirp share the same captain and I simply love CE Tirp for Random Battle trolling).

WG gave a USN DD radar (albeit only for a select elite few), so they had to reply with op Russian power to show everyone who's really in charge Awful addition to the game, again it's a case of "who exactly outside of Russia wants this?" I look forward to the RU BB line along with Soviet Aircraft Carriers with some sort of AA jamming skill so they can bomb any target at will

Scharn is capable in Ranked but not my choice, I changed to Gnesi currently as Scharn alpha damage sucks. BB are about the super star 20k citadels, a Scharn does not get such strikes on regular occasions and you often don't have time to stack damage on targets.

Yes Colo is just too slow, a game can literally run away from you. I don't see why Flamu says Nagato is good, I tried using her and had to go German. Naga is too slow and armour is too bad, Ranked meta doesn't suit 32s reload guns either and the ranges you fight at she over pens everything to hell.

It's very strong but melts fast and everyone knows to shoot her. Also lack of a strong Alpha may harm her too, sometimes the game ends before your damage can stack up.

Shira is terrifying, probably responsible for partly some of the Ranked camping. Seeing huge torp walls is pretty

There is a huge difference between a very good Ranked ship and one that launches you to the top. It depends a lot on the player but the individual needs to find something they can carry in and change games with.

I don't find the Nagato amazing in Ranked. Folk accuse you of camping when you sit a little further back and the guns over pen a hell of a lot vs cruisers. I've switched to P2W Scharn for now. Belfast is insane, even though i haven't won a game on her yet i haven't lost a star either. But I find the gameplay desperately boring, just a shorter range Kutuzov with no torp surprise. I'd rather Fiji but her guns are more situational

A lot of people stupidly sit in smoke and wonder why they get torped to hell. Happens in every single season even in the Premier League. The amount I wiped out in my Atago last season was un true... I mean just angle heavily or be always moving or something

Come on, if that's the case then questions need to start being asked... I know I'm guilty of wanting easy and buffed versions of silver ships but look over at the USN line. They've got Prem BBs that are stronger than their regular line ships, a Premium Carrier, and don't forget Flint and now the Black. Alabama is coming too. Whereas the best IJN Prem ship is probably the Atago and then the Kami R which are both old ships now. All the rest are low tier, well there's the Shinonome and these up coming under tiered historic Hulls. Fair?

I'm currently bouncing between the Scharn and the Naga. Scharn is extremely tanky, and is great vs AA and has awesome secondaries (atleast with a 19 point captain). Can shoot DDs with her shotgun like gun spread and fast reloads. Naga has excellent guns accurate guns but only 4 of them. I'm currently always firing them off in pairs and either select a new target or re-adjust for another pair of turrets. Problem with both BBs is the same issue I had with the Bismarck last season, BBs just do not feel game changing in Ranked other than baiting everyone to shoot you. You're too visible to stealth cap or relocate anywhere so everyone is onto you all the time. Stealthy cruisers and DD can slip out to re-locate for better positioning.

Yeah, it's the ports with certain mod packs. There's a Master port package in there that has all sorts of crazy stuff like outer space, a bath tub and a charming one with a huge red dragon in the background... T8 price tag is usually steep, would be especially so for a mini lol citadel Iowa.

At this stage no, everyone is still in the same league and there's lots on. Later on at the top level league late at night maybe...

NA Server rage meant WG said they'd release it at some stage. No better eta.

There is a wave of super players that will blast through to R1 asap. Consider if you wish to have a learning experience or not! I think the skill level may fall in the higher ranks as time goes on but I don't think it's any easier to hit R1 at the end as you still need to carry. Premier League is always a step up in ability.

And massively expensive for the bundle of them. From the way camos are priced it should mean my 2300+ New Year Free XP camos are worth thousands of pounds!!

I see this more and more, essentially if the DDs die and fail to cap then everyone gives up despite the various anti DD things out there. A triple or quad cap within a few mins is common and it'll stay that way till a early finish.

Consider that smoking up and shooting in a Cruiser is actually a big Torp Me sign. Since the cloud itself won't be huge and your ship is bigger than a DD. Don't default to smoking up without thinking who can torp you.

Normal landslide victory! Once one side loses a few the team usually collapses.

We used to get five flags per box, it's four now. That's less. Free xp boxes were welcome too. We're getting less than what we did prior to the patch...

No the duration is too short to torp spot like the old float plane. It spawns two for the price of one, you launch when you're about to get bombed for better AA cover.

Yeah it's all free stuff however WG have left it to us to work out the drops have been cut down and also left it for us to work out why. The drop rate for Prem Ships is essentially zero for most of us. I don't hope for ships, I buy what I want.
