Looking at all the new RU DDs, they all look like re-mixes/variants of the Leningrad. E.g WG may encourage a few more to buy the Gold ship in order to speed up training...

Really lightly armoured cruisers can get utterly smashed when turning or sailing to/from a BB as it thickens the armour due to the angle!! -
It's good how Ranked is in Seasons. It would be tiring if it was a perpetual Ladder... I come back it because it's a challenge. Even with rubbish rewards. It does focus your play far better than any Random game. The MM is fairer and you can make much more of a difference rather then being focused by 10 ships from a higher tier. Sadly this season of Ranked has me a taste for DDs. All I want to do now is ninja cap and torp strike dumb BBs...

Also RE all the RL Wartime TKs. It's far more common than you think. A lot of soldiers are conscripts or simply folk under a lot of stress. There was a fairly recent one during one of the Gulf wars where a US plane blew up a British armoured vehicle full of men. I think the pilot was pumped on amphetamines by the USAF to keep him flying. The video of the cockpit cam has the poor guy crying and saying how he was going to jail. -
If I can take something other than speed boost then I will. Most DD are pretty fast, RU ones certainly don't need more speed. Defensive AA served me well in Ranked on the Sims. Even without CVs you can slap pesky float planes out the sky which is a petty useful option to have. Plus lots of CV haven't learnt yet that DDs can harm their birds so is a nasty shock if you come prepared.

I might send WG a ticket RE my Udaloi but it'll get laughed off. Thing is should we be grateful for the changes and.compensation? It's the Udaloi that's the sticking point. A T9 ship is a significant investment in time and effort. Or money if you are lazy. Someone grinding up there will have done so because they like the ships there. At the very least someone who wants to get back in their Udaloi needs to grind out the upgrades and captain retraining. Both of which are a fairly big undertaking, especially if the captain is a high points one.

I think they're given out after the season ends. WG adds them manually like JR2 and Flint.

With RDF and the Propulsion mod the Sims ability to dodge is God like. I think i got torped under 5 times for the 150+ times i took Sims into Ranked. It's nice to see there is a variety of ships that have made it to R1. Shows the meta can be worked depending on your own ability and preferences.

In seriousness folk have asked for a time played Prem account rather than a set period but WG would lose money. There's a reason why 360 day Item is seemingly cheap as you won't play anything near the full game time.

This is the [edited] as I really enjoy the Udaloi and have no intention of grinding Khab. Now I'm meant to start Udaloi again and need to retrain my Captain all for the sake of Defensive AA? It's a good job I don't buy Perm Camos for my Silver ships... Quite annoyed as I've only started playing Udaloi again (locked in Ranked until yesterday) last night and had an awesome game.

That's just it... Good DD players control games. It's why I decided DDs in Ranked was the only way to fly, everyone else is just a big fat gun platform. The little ships with 6km concealment, epic alpha strike ability and all round awesomeness are what makes a team good.

I've just returned from Ranked and playing hard core Sims. I can see OPs point as I've played only a few games today, one as FDG where I slapped a Fletcher for 10k with AP at 15km and finished his game. He was farmed shortly after then. And another game I played Sims in Random Battle and lost half my hp from being spotted at the start contesting a cap. I did go on to score 60+k damage and was top XP earner however... It's not an easy subject as I don't think good DD captains need any sort of buff at all and I still think if you've taken a massive BB strike you've probably messed up somewhere.

I don't understand WG logic (although that itself is a lol idea) It takes a fair bit of grinding to get to a T9 ship and to have it all thrown out in exchange for a slightly buffed ship you probably spent hours trying to escape is fairly enraging. Just switch whatever is on the now Udaloi to the alternative T9 one? How hard is that...

I believe it's added manually by WG staff at the end of the season. Same with all the Black and Flint winners...

Dammn... Trashkan was a pig to steer, Udaloi was refreshing as it's so nimble and stealthy. Guess I'll never have a Khab now

That would be fair yeah, total kills of planes launched rather than what's still on the ships. All you need are a few yolo high tier BB and you're never getting CS otherwise lol

Haven't WG all but confirmed RU BB this year? That's bad enough without lul RU CV. I actually like the RN line a lot, the ships handle great and they've got interesting weapons.
