NC changes the game for USN BB, instead of heavily armoured and slow they become fast and have an un-even armour pattern. NC has the best T8 BB AA without serious specialisation into it. I imagine it's popular in competitive play because it's frontal armour is nearly invincible to other BB shells other than the Yam at T10 and the guns are accurate and powerful within about 13km or less. NC also has a comical stealth rating of under 12km with the right build which is crazy stuff for a T8 large gunned BB. Amagi is fairly lightly armoured, pretty strong if you angle. The guns are great, there are 10 of them and they fire in a fairly wide but accurate spread so you're more likely to do damage to all target types. Has awful AA, don't bother trying to buff it with skills and modules. I've tried and it isn't worth the trade off but it does have one of the best torpedo belts in the game so you can tank the metal fish pretty well. Bismarck, heavily armoured compared to her counter parts. Lower calibre but faster firing guns are very inaccurate. Also has less guns per salvo, 8 vs 9 and 10. Has hydro, even nerfed it makes Bismarck a very good brawling tool. Oh and the secondaries, they can be specced to reach out to about 10.6km and fire pure HE so everything that comes near you can be set on fire. They're all great ships in their own way, give them a try on the Public Test next time if you're at all unsure which one you want to get first.

Yes, yours is the classic BB build pre the captain skill changes can't argue with it really. CE lowers the detection to about 16km from 19km so it means you won't get lit up from spawn and by the time folk see your ship you'll be lost in the crowd of friendlies somewhat so stand a higher chance of surviving. Even average players know Fuso is squishy and almost everyone shoots at what they can see, if your Fuso is the only target early on... Of course, Fuso could be played like a giant Atlanta if the MM is unfavourable

I can't agree that not taking Manual Secondaries is the better choice. Sometimes you don't have time for a prolonged battle and you need faster fires and damage. Also your allies might be helping you with HE and torps. Also sometimes to help your secondaries along you could fire a HE salvo and ignite the enemy just before your secondaries are in range. I do that in the Scharn a lot as her AP sucks at range anyway so you might as well try to stack fires long range then go AP close up where your secondaries will continue the burn.

The "free" game that a lot of folk here plough a lot of money into? Oh well I don't care hugely about SCs personally. Flags I can farm by playing and everything else I can spend credits on. Anyone who hopes to win SC ships are crazy however. The chances are a fraction of SCs will give out a ship so you could open 100+ SCs and not be likely to get a ship.

Actually top tier BB play is easy. Camp at 20km and take speculative shots, don't even go towards objectives and let the points tick out

Has excellent guns too and with radar you can be pretty aggressive if pushing with a team.

Because Russia... They made the T10 alternative DD weak to try and lead us away from RU op bias A refitted Kongo class is the dream yes but I imagine WG staff would go on strike if they had to make stronk Japanese ships. The same way that they did free overtime to make RU fantasy I've always wanted Perm camo to transform silver ships into virtual Prem ships with all bonuses included but that'll never happen. Closest we'll get to that are clone Prem ships like Prinz "Pudding" Eugen and "Money" Missouri.

I slap CE onto the Fuso. Being seen at 19km isn't fun as you're seldom the top dog in any MM even vs T6 BB. Its overall a fairly enjoyable ship. Very heavy salvo but relatively weak guns these days. The 1k Perm camo looks awesome but I don't play the ship enough to justify buying it.

I welcome USN BB buffs. They're already pretty good in careful hands.

T9 with no experience is a one way trip to getting farmed. Still it's your time and money but personally I'd grind to the Iowa then get it as you'll have deserved it more then.

He does like to slate bad Prem ships too which I've noticed. Doesn't play Belfast but he seems to enjoy Kutuzov which I find pretty similar without the radar abuse. He has opinions like everyone else and I don't think he tries to be too scientific and fair in his approach which I prefer to watch.

You probably don't even need CE, just get AFT and get lower level skills

Trashkan isn't bad actually, the one you get gifted with full upgrades. I stuck the Udaloi captain back where he should be and put +1 point into the free captain to get AFT. Playing as a 14km+ mini super sniper cruiser is pretty amusing. No one can hit you and you just skate around peppering everyone with HE, probably a run up to what the Khab is like. Repair party for extra lols, why would you need to stop for smoke?

Tirp isn't arguably any weaker than Bismarck. It's more situational sure but a Bismarck can't rush any BB beneath a Yam going full bow in, turn at the last minute then shove quad torps up the enemy Flamu is an OP ship merchant yes as I like Dunker very much and I feel its no weaker than any of the other T6 BBs, Prem or otherwise.

It's fun to play if you stick to her strengths. Ship itself looks idiotic though yes, doubt it could ever have sailed in any sort of rough sea...

I already had an NC and grinded Iowa to Monty. A long the way I earnt enough free XP for Missouri. All the USN BB you could want by doing it my way NC got it's sigma buffed fairly recently too so she's better than ever. Some argue one of the best USN BBs for their tier. Has no real weaknesses other than a slightly bad long range dispersion and slow shell arcs but the latter can be worked with.

Certain players must get awfully lucky... Even a 1000 game player that hits R1 is going to have played ok fairly consistently to get to the top. Otherwise they'd never win more than a few in a row before falling down again. The idea that someone can click their way to R1 is essentially impossible via probability as you're tested too many times and will be found out at some stage.

This has been discussed in a lot of threads now. The Udaloi has been a little mistreated to the amount of 85k xp and the need to retrain your captain. I don't feel the credits or the new ships are adequate compensation. I'd rather have nothing except for my Elite'ed Udaloi. Nothing we'll do or say is going to change that, one of the downsides about a game in constant development.

Flamu is the Op Ship King. He doesn't rubber stamp Prem Ships unless they can hard carry to his tastes. I at least like a Prem ship to be special or unique to play. Poor Alabama doesn't seem to offer a single thing another high tier USN BB brings. I consider this WG's punishment to us for whining that Alabama was going to be ST only

T8 Prem ships aren't cheap either. Prinz Eugen is still £30 on discount and it's a clone of a fairly meh ship. Doubt WG will drop their prices for this one.

Looks like this ship is the poor relation to the NC and Iowa/Missouri... Only reason you'd buy is if you don't already have high tier USN BBs which will push even more unsuitable kids into high tier battles...

I'm sure I saw the Imperial Crest on it somewhere too. WG confuse themselves with lol paper ships.
