Just equipping your standard FCS is fine for USN and IJN DD. Plus being careful with the trigger finger... Ofc Prem ships and T10 cannot do this like others have said but it's a work around for the Stealth Fire mess that WG have created.

Fat Freddy is awesome. In fact I kept mine after I got GK. I dislike the GK because like Yam it's seen from the moon. Freddy can have very nice concealment much like a USN BB so you can actually choose to disengage...

Apparently they're nerfing Khaba, just when I'm about 50k xp from it Maybe it's too strong, maybe it isn't but it's why I refuse to spend any sort of real money on free XP boosting my way up the ladder. I really want the Minotaur one day but I can see WG "tweaking" that too.

Anything that's more than about 18s is problematic for a DD so I doubt these changes will do anything. Although now that firing even once is a death sentence it hardly matters now what the turret rotation speed is

This problem does "feel" worse with the new detection and firing bloom ranges. You literally need to maintain strict discipline of not firing at all or you simply get sliced in half. Played a great Fletcher game last night until I used my main guns then had 25% go left before I could slip back into stealth. Maybe that's how WG intend DDs, to be very passive

None I hope, I've only gathered about 470k Free XP since buying mine! It's a great ship but the top tier meta ruins it.

I don't know about a 15 point captain but I have a shedload of RU captains that I don't actually need. Something like about 6 captains of various levels, including a 12 and two 10s that are surplus. If only a few of those could be for other nations

I take Manual AA as my only AA buff. Everything else is focused towards surface ships. Essentially my Gnesi and Tirp share the same Captain build, as a mid distance stealth troll BB. Manual AA alone without any range buffs does enough to protect you I've found.

A free port slot isn't too bad for some unfunny jokes is it? At least we don't have to grind anything...

Taking too much fire damage is a sign you've over extended. Nothing much would save you if that's happened. If fires offend you that much then get Fire Prevention as a 4th Level Captain skill. I don't take it for any of my BBs personally, it's not needed.

Seriously now, is AP in a BB not powerful enough for you? Can you see how high alpha and the risk of DoT (damage over time, a.k.a flooding) will make a class of ship even stronger for no reason?

I love all the T10 BBs (Yam, Monty and GK), however the campy meta ruins them. Where even DDs don't go anywhere near the zones means I leave all my big ships in port usually

Erm I don't think you can over pen with HE or IFHE... I'm fairly sure as soon as it penetrates it explodes there and then. You can have 0 damage HE Pens but not over pens.

Biggest USN Cruiser issue is they have no torps other than on their T5 and the Flint. Then again I'm just a dirty Atago player

That's a decent buff. That middle turret being easier to access. Ish is almost like a new ship now. With the reload and range buffs she's transformed from the original release.
