If you want to have fun and get rewards then just play on the PT server. You'll get flags, some camos and even 24hr prem time for playing yolo T10 ships. The only issue with that is you might wait months for the rewards but WG do pay up eventually

Ah right... Yes the replies to our grievances on the forums here are down right offensive but what did anyone expect since the things we were being fed during the Christmas Convoy? To be fair to WG EU it's the same event world wide so everyone has to put up with the awful grind or not bother. Give the fail EU team some credit please

Na WG won't do anything. It's specifically written in their reporting policy that they don't do anything about such offences. I tried to report a racist guy a few weeks ago and the policy stopped me. That was worse than what happened today, I consider this somewhat humorous personally but a lot of folk here would likely be upset or annoyed by it. I mean fair enough some people yolo, play bad or just have bad days but no need to be high and mighty over it. Flipping out and TKing is something else however. I bet the rest of the players were like "uh wut?!"

I want to say Tin Foil Conspiracy but this happens when I play BB. Some games it literally feels like everything is a Devastating Strike but the very next game I'll miss everything and I don't think I play any differently. I use smaller ships mostly nowadays which are far less about praying to whatever RNGod you believe in

The event is bad enough but the warped reality WG staff come out with is trolling essentially. Nothing more as it's so far from what anyone else thinks that it's either madness or deliberate.

Just played with a moron in a New York. Whilst its not a high tier game he did utterly nothing except sail behind the CV and snipe at ships a little. When quizzed the guy said he found the game relaxing and if he wanted action he would play WoT. Luckily I was in Kami R and hard carried but with attitude like that sometimes games are hopeless...

I am going to tell a humorous TK story, I was in my Khaba and whilst in the 2nd line I torped a Yam. Unfortunately the Gearing in front steered straight into one of them but didn't die. He was then killed by an enemy ship. The guy went crazy because I didn't apologise straight away as I was playing, he then started to question my sexuality and said some really nasty things Granted I did wind him up by talking about salt However I checked the guy's stats after and he had something like 15k average damage across ALL ships and he owned T10 ships. His ratings were BAD across the board and appeared to have gained a Gearing and a Fletcher in one day so boosted himself to top tier. I wasn't even pink because I didn't kill him. Double Still, if you launch with friendlies in front of you then you take your chances...

I think Chappy suffers from the same problem as all RU Cruisers do. Even Kutuzov suffers from this, in that you're too passive as you usually have to sit at long range and HE spam stuff. Problem is in the current meta that is inefficient as you cannot really contest caps and the game often runs away with you as the other team gets a triple cap and you bleed out points. Get any closer and as said, RU DDs are big fat citadels with paper mache instead of armour plating . A friend of mine LOVES shooting RU Cruisers in BB as they often get devastating strike rekted whatever angle they're trying to pull.

If you have played a lot of stealth Tirpitz then this thing is essentially a T7 version and actually stronger as you face T5 and T6 BB who's armour is insufficient to deal with high velocity 15" guns. Play between 8km to 12km and reap the rewards. Float a bit further out and stay in concealment to get lol alpha strike ambushes on broadside ships.

The missions the last two weeks aren't even "that" bad. This weeks ones are grindy as hell granted. Last week's final one where you needed 125k damage vs BBs AND 125 ribbons was easy in a Khaba But yes, a lot of the missions are impossible in certain ships and unless you have a port of 80 ships it can be hard to find the right tool... -
I fear for the day when I get into an RU T8/T9 cruiser as I really want Moskva one day but the pain of T8 and T9 will be immense. And no I'm not giving WG money to skip the $h!t meta on principle...

2k Doubloons is about £7.50p... I'd rather just buy them from the shop than grind so hard for 3 weeks. Even if I was some kid with nothing better to do, I'd save up my pocket money and do something else than play solid ships for 3 weeks

Pretty much this... It's why I refuse to roll with a Strike loadout on USN CVs until Lex comes with Defensive AA. Even one fighter squadron is enough to keep the heat off a snipe. But yes good CVs won't snipe but there's a lot of mediocre ones who do it as an opening gambit every single game so it's an issue I consider.

The Easter event is a troll in itself as whenever these "special" weekends come about there are no Weekend Doubles as that would be "Spoiling Us".

If you've gotten to T8 in RU Cruisers you should know the score. Just don't be the first to fire and cease shooting& dodge if you're focused. Then resume when the heat's gone. I'm currently on the Schors and I'm not looking forward to Chappy grinding.

The camo looks nice but any gains you get in Free XP are going to suck. T5 isn't known for its massive hauls of XP.

Hopefully it won't have an op XP multiplier like the Sims. Whilst I reached Rank 1 in the Sims. I fully acknowledge I did it partly because the XP gain was so epic that you'd top about 75% of losing games. I'd grind entire Ranked sessions with no star losses. -
The weird thing is both Kami R and GNB actually felt ok with their mission variations. This one actually looks really lazy, like a bad half cooked concept where you just grind out very simple things for the same few coins for every increment. I'm not that annoyed as it's bad for the whole world

It's just weird as GNB really was better other than WG's stupid It's a suprise troll at the end. Basically this time round we have a T5 seal clubbing DD or a few pounds of doubloons most of us can buy if we cared enough. Prem Time which you can win in PT for a fraction of the grind and play ships you don't own. And finally the gutter trash that is the fail modules. Stacks of camo up for grabs but really? But again, at least the EU isn't being singled out this time!
