Yes, like all BBs you can get a lucky long range citadel vs another BB but that is luck no matter who you are, unicum or otherwise. And yes if someone wants to sail broadside then by all means AP them. All I'm saying is don't be doggedly stuck to the AP or go home idea. As long as you don't spam HE at absolutely everything it's worth considering. Yes, secondaries will start a lot of fires but if someone is bow rushing you in a BB then surely it's better to ignite him with HE and get him to burn DCP/heal rather than watch your 281mm bounce?

Scharn is an interesting ship as I see a lot of players fail in it because they do not understand her quirks. Whereas when you do understand then she becomes borderline OP...

Ish is the only BB where the HE and AP ratio can be turned on its head. HE spammer predominately as low tier ships have such awful armour & fire protection. Games become one big fat fire trolling session

20% fire chance is pretty good... You obviously don't snipe and only fire when far away whilst closing in. Plus a low damage fire starting salvo is still just as viable as a 5k AP one. Since you're part of a team, either the HE fire spamming cruisers will get them to burn their DCP or you will which will let others exploit the burn. Go and try it as I used to be a hard core believer in AP only on BBs but there is definitely a time and a place to shoot HE.

Angling can actually make it worse vs high tier BB as their shell calibres are so large that they can plough through anything cruisers try. Just have to dodge harder. Cruisers tend to have decent DPM but the trade off is they can be 1 shot deleted randomly. Not brilliant game mechanics but I'm not sure how WG will ever change it without drastically altering the game balance.

I used to think that way, an Italian R1 winner in Scharn advised me to consider HE with her. Obviously it's not a hard and fast rule but notice the amount of derps at longer ranges in Scharn. It makes sense to spam HE along with your cruiser allies at longer ranges rather than hoping for one good salvo. At closer ranges Scharn AP behaves a lot more like conventional BB AP but at long distance they lose a lot of power and accuracy. The game I've just won used a balance of the two, 6 fires, 3 citadels and almost 100k damage without torpedoes speaks for itself...

First game in Scharn for weeks... Use HE at longer ranges, then switch to AP when you are 12km or closer. Stay angled, upgrade secondaries and profit...

I think plenty have said it but Hood is only a BB. Probably a very mediocre one at T7 by the looks of it with high HP and situational AA. Scharn and Gnesi can likely chase her and rival her tank. Colo and Naga will simply out gun her. Hood might kill cruisers well but all BB do more or less, I'd argue a T5 New York is as dangerous to T7 cruisers than any other BB in that tier range.

Meh, Gremy sucks now that I unlocked Khaba, even that super seal clubbed guy had give up on Gremy I'll swap mine for a Hood. You can keep all the flags and ccontainers

I pretty much feel this. I bought Alabama last month and I've hardly used her. Same with Missouri although I grinded her out with flags and camo. I have played all 3 lines of BB through to T10 so I've probably seen enough of them for awhile.

Na, I prefer to wait. Sometimes weekends are good as you can get massive 7 kill celebration 200k damage games, it works both ways

Again, this game gave me 2128 base XP. Hard carried and came top... Shows how difficult 2500 base is

Sub_Oct speaks a sort of logic, he has to tow the company line after all.., However, just say if all 3 bundles were available to all at the start. I would imagine sales would be higher than they would be now. WG would rather one brave/foolish soul buys the super Hood package than 3, 4 or more buy just the ship and the port. Still cannot work out why WG would upset their more hard core players, unless they see the true figures in that we are the over-entitled whining 1% and the rest of their customers are people with open wallets
