I'm finding ships has stagnated for me somewhat. Slowly grinding to Mino and Moskva but not in a rush. I'm sitting on enough free XP to be in touching distance of another Missouri... I would learn the final frontier that is CV play but the interface is like looking at a spread sheet. I didn't buy a 1070 to stare at a mostly blue screen. Arty in Tanks and CVs here just need a play style adjustment. Arty is far more cheesy than CVs as at least you know you're being bombed. Arty just 1 shots or tracks you if you're the Chosen One It's because of WG's blatantly bad treatment of the players that I now refuse to buy doubloons unless I really need them (but I've got double figure free slots and Elite XP to retrain), no Perm camo as they make wholesale changes, no free XP skipping because of the same reason etc Don't get me started on the Hood money grab... I'll win myself a Flint next season but will see if I care enough to grind out a Black.

It's always unclear when folk don't respond to typed stuff. They could be one of the following: Has all chat on mute via a mod. Has muted you. Has no awareness and isn't looking at the chat window. Is choosing to ignore you They can't type very fast Or finally they really don't know English

Damn 21km of cheese... I think I'll enjoy using her when the time comes. Does IFHE make any difference to DM? As I'm pretty sure it doesn't nothing for Moskva.

I'm looking forward to the DM... Just unlocked Chapy and I'm mildly disappointed as it has no firepower advantage over the Shchors. It's long range radar is sweet however.

Doubloon unlock to speed up the 30 min CD is a crock. As the PvE scenarios may need a lot of teamwork and a large division full of friends/associates. So you've got one shot with your best ship and you all need to sit around for 30 mins unless your T6 is well stocked or you're all rich & stupid

This thread is a reason why the game is a mess. BB players want a super ship that kills everything instead of learning their part in a fleet of ships. It should be closed before it degrades further into L2P painful truths.

Oh dear... The short answer is experience will tell you how to avoid the worst of a DDs torps. I recommend you go and play a lot of DD then report back and tell us what torping bigger ships is like.

Well you could pay for it. But seriously you're not missing anything unless you want a pretty pre dreadnaught BB in port. With mods you can view ships you don't own in colour anyway. Miksas is very meh to play, I'll guarantee you'd be bored of it in a fraction of the time it will take to grind it out.

Well yes, WG doesn't appreciate how hard (read lucky) it can be to hit some of theses missions. Although they've improved slightly a part from that 2500 base XP last week... I only forced myself to hit the Miksas missions because I'm a BB collector even after everything.

That's still better than getting the required result before you've got to that stage... The amount of times I've got a Kraken BEFORE the final stage on previous missions

Hmm true as I regard Izumo as trash. It's a Yam without the OP 18" guns... I think I did the 125k in one of my T10 BBs, forget which one exactly as I went around until I hit the target. Maybe a T8 BB as top tier might be good for it too, NC or Amagi.

Problem is a lot of these missions are rigged towards certain tiers and ships. E.g 125k is not an issue at all for T9 and T10 BB, especially in the current BB heavy meta. I'm fortunate I have a large port full of ships of all types.

Better than limiting it to Random Battles only, then it really would be a stupid RNG grind. Be thankful they've given us the choice... 30 mins or so on Co Op or hours and hours on Random Battles.

It's actually never been this bad. Almost always 100+ BB in queue and you have to wait a fair bit if you want to ride a fatty

Got the final mission first time with Bismarck. It actually isn't that bad a ship, just spam HE at stuff. It's armour is pretty thick for a T2 ship. The grind was fairly easy, did it this evening. Only the Co Op RU killing 3rd task was a bit annoying.

Saipan has a poor damage output. Even in Strike form... Sure you can pick every engagement but you need to strafe with your fighters all the time and it's hard to land more than two (maybe even one) torp per bombing run. Hiryu has a far higher potential damage output and you'll kill DDs far easier. Saipan vs Hiryu is actually pretty balanced...

Whilst I fully understand the torpedo detonation mechanic, it is a bit lame as you can elect to take a torp in the bow or stern to not detonate and get flooded. Or risk taking it on the belt and detonating completely randomly

Cruisers need a lot of ability and awareness to play well generally. If you're compromised then you're likely going to be farmed by a BB if you're in a Cruiser. But a BB in a similar situation will likely survive and get another chance. I think healing HE damage is overplayed. If there are two or more of you then they're not going to repair all that spam. In fact that last bit reminds me on why I think HE spam is viable on BBs like the Scharn. If you're paired with cruisers then your target is going to burn whether they like it or not.

If you study each game carefully, especially Domination games. You'll see that there are critical points in the game such as contesting caps. If all or at least most of your team doesn't push for caps then you'll lose fast. The face roll only comes after you've already lost anyway. What I'm saying is every game is competitive up to a certain point. It looks like you're only seeing things once they're a forgone conclusion.

Sometimes you get face rolls, not much you can do as an individual whether you're on either team... Happens in pretty much all team games. Virtual or sport. This one we can't blame on WG.

2 BB kills isn't that bad compared to some of the rubbish WG throw at us. Miksas is a nice prize too for only a little grinding compared to say the lul that was CoE...
