Current ST leaks say RN BBs get Defensive AA and Nelson is a Prem ship... Very lame for KGV to be T7 and a lazy mutant at T8 if current ST goes live.

WG are testing Defensive AA for higher tier RN BB now... How's that CV rework coming along?

It was pointed out in another thread but the ship sales meant you could get a half price ship but receive full price doubloons, this meant that you could have got an Alabama for very cheap no?

I think the map is why the game is so hilariously laggy in CV mode as it's essentially a zoomed out version of the game so it chugs even on strong PCs... The map zoom feature is available to all, much like the torpedo prediction thing to tell how fast someone is going.

Also tapping the minimap key a coupe of times will give you a zoomed out angle where you can actually see ships behind smaller islands/trees/etc and get a better idea of where you're aiming. The mad Eurobeats guy mentions it in one of his videos and its pretty useful... Try it yourself!

I guess it dawned on WG it wasn't that hard to re-implement into the client to purchase for doubloons...

Imo Ships hasn't reached critical mass unlike Tanks which brings in over 100k at peak everyday, Ships peak is middle of the night for Tanks. Others will disagree but I've seen RN BB as the high for Ships for awhile now but we'll see how it pans out...

I've actually wondered if "worse" dispersion is actually more accurate. When I grinded NM and Fuso I found they were accurate because of the 12 gun shotgun spread rather than any individual shell behaving itself. Fuso can eat dreadful citadels broadside but any BB other than the Bayern can. I actually don't think any BB in T6 can really resist any other BBs AP with any reliability except maybe Dunker vs 14" bow in but that's a suicide tactic in Ranked. Too late for me to change, it's Warspite or bust here

There is no clear OP ship this season I don't think. I'm flicking between Warspite, Farragut, Anshan and Shino. However I think all DDs are flawed as in they have weaknesses that can cost you. Shino guns are just too slow firing, you can't hack down cruisers or DPM slap other DDs too well. Farra has poor concealment and torps. Even with my 19 point Benson captain in her I'm finding I get outspotted by.other DDs and I'm not really fast enough to chase stuff down. Even with SE your HP will be pretty low. Anshan would be great if you have an 18 point captain as you really need AR, EM, LS, SE, CE and RPF to be a decent DD hunter. Few will have that however. Warspite is probably what I'll stick with. The guns are reliable for a BB. They'll get anything between 3k to 20k+ on all BB you might face. Even angled you'll hack through the armour. Guns are accurate too and will rarely derp you, don't even care spec any sort of secondary build/skill as one good main gun salvo will do what secondaries wish they did. Besides you don't want to be that close to stuff if you can help it... Her healing factor is obscene with flags, SI and intelligent management of damage. You can eat 70k+ easily before sinking and can touch 100k sometimes. Fuso is popular but I've got no idea why. It's a huge easily spotted target with poor dispersion guns. Still I see folk use it at R2 so it must be ok...

Two Scharnhorst class BB ever built, both have historical names even if one is a mutant. FIVE KGV class ships built and WG cannot give even the mutant tech tree one a historical name. Advanced logic, you and I are too simple (and sober) to understand WG's way of thinking.

Basically FP sets the max amount of fires to 3, however it does that by combining the middle of the ship which is two fire zones into one. Therefore you'll burn a hell of a lot less and it's far harder to HE spam your fire zones. I'm running it in my Warspite in Ranked and it really adds to your tanking ability...

Thing is would it even be okay if a T7 historical KGV Prem ship was released which power creeps the Scharn? As in fast BB, excellent armour with guns that actually hit and pen things you shoot at beyond 10km? Part of me wouldn't mind it but then if WG did that then it's a pretty blatant money grab. I'll wait for official announcements however

This T8 Mutant is needless unless it's for WG to save time in modelling a whole new ship. No reason why a tweaked Vanguard couldn't stand in T8 with some tweaked guns&shells.

I actually think more BB players realise AP on DDs is fine and it's almost always worth having a go shooting them. This season of Ranked seems to be one where DDs get shot to pieces for daring to open fire. 3+ BB all shooting at a DD is a lot dice rolls. I'm finding that I get at least one overpen most salvos I fire at DDs if not a magic multi hit salvo that knocks off 25%+

I find it's acceptable here but that might be as I'm not too bad a player... I dare not get a T8 WoT Prem as apparently T8 is constantly bottom tier and impenetrable tanks are a thing at top tier.

Tanks has most of what's been on sale back again so you can pick up what you've missed. That is if you want to buy into WoT T8 MM that is... Maybe we'll get the previous ship sales too when WG EU staff have come into work and have shaken off their weekend hangover

Lol! If you mean me, that was the game where my team got the double cap but somehow all 6 others left both cap zones and I got left to die alone. It took me by surprise as I have no idea why everyone would leave a cap when in the lead... That was a rough weekend, went from R5 to R7 due to trying something new and failing. Back to R5 at least...
