Well it's just another BB so I'm not that excited either. Although I'd get the Hood for 30% off personally. A Lowe in WoT would be nice with 30% off too but I'm no dying to play it.

It's in tech tree for Doubloons too. I'm still going to wait, I'll bet money that we will see 15% off at some stage as WG do blanket Prem Discounts and aren't likely to single out Hood without any money off. FYI for anyone thinking like me, Hood should fall to about £25 without a port slot and discounted in doubloons. I usually get a Cherry on Top then buying whatever I'm after.

I get torped far less with Vigilance. It definitely works, you notice the spotted distance is better if you play a few games without it.

I pinked myself the other day. Was in a Neptune and panic fired 8 torps via single fire as I got jumped by two DDs. Somehow I nuked the Allied one next to me and got a 7 game punishment. It went in about 5 games though...

Yeah personally I have no idea why folk Free XP to T10. I've barely played any of my T10 ships compared to grinding up there. 2 DDs and 3 BBs at T10 and I've probably played more in my Tirptiz than all of them combined. I'm fairly near Minotaur and Moskva but not paying for either! -

Makes you wonder if WG simply decided to make RN BB super HE spammers at the last minute. As neither Hood or Warspite have crispy shells.Well I guess Warspite HE is nice but her AP is very good too and you'd be mad to fire a lot of Warspite HE. -
I wonder if that lol portal is intentional too as it was in PT and doesn't seem to have been removed in the live client!

I'll probably grind out the Iron Duke but apparently QE is a bad Warspite. I need to re-config my Warspite captain, he's on 18 points but was wasted with a Ranked build which didn't work. That and Jack Dunkirk are the only good RN captains I have unless I melt down my Fiji captain. But I also need to retrain a Gallant one as I P2W the last season of Ranked by using their free 19 point Dunkirk captain... We are clogging this topic however -

I think when I was trying to get to you to smoke you should have turned bow in. It might have saved some of your HP and my smoke would have covered you sooner and you could have angled all 10 guns onto the enemy. Meh I want a KGV but I'm too tight to pay out, even though I've 578k Free XP AFTER buying Nelson last week! -
I do really want to play RN BBs as I've awaited them like a lot of folk out there. Except I can't be done with the MM wait and the meta being skewered by the sheer numbers of BBs. I'm just glad I diversified awhile ago in my Ships career so I can go club with a wide variety of non WG favour botes.

lol, that why they're Terminator Fighters. Unstoppable but a bit on the slow side! Yeah WG seem to have made USN for AS yet they're just not that good. Although I'm enjoying myself the most with AS Ranger as 1/1/1 is simply unplayable as someone good will humiliate you and Strike is impossible as your team cries because they have no cover and an enemy CV with fighters rubs their hands with glee when they see you simply have no way of stopping their strikes. 0/2/2 would be a nice Random Battle seal clubber but it still wouldn't be taken seriously I don't think. I don't think the slow, tanky, large but low number of USN Squadrons in their decks really works ultimately like you've said. Keep calm and play more Shokaku? That's what I'm going to do... -

Came top, just... Yeah was a bit difficult at B for awhile but we got a lucky torp against their DD and it started to go wrong from there. You owe me the repair costs for a KGV now as I prevented you from sinking -
He isn't WG have allowed this and harvesting the BB hordes is the optimal way to enjoy the game at the moment. I'm dancing through my list of mid tier DDs. So many vulnerable slow fat BBs to pop...

Granted sometimes a Neptune simply dies because Victor wills it and some of the maps "really" punish you for daring to go without smoke. It's just something different to play as there's only so much long range HE spam I can do before it gets boring...

Perhaps, an RU or USN platform is more stable but RN Cruisers with Radar instead of Smoke is so much more exciting... Plus with the Radar duration and RN Cruiser's rapid fire sAP, any DD within range is essentially dead aslong as you can stay alive during the activation time!

Yeah anyone who believes a Missouri makes radar Cruisers redundant clearly hasn't used something like a Neptune with the Radar duration module. You're basically the DD Predator and a Minotaur with a similar build can only be stronger.

Manual Secondaries is a 60% reduction in the shell dispersion so it's a huge buff. With 19 points you can take AFT, Manual Secondaries and CE although I take Manual AA instead of CE in case CVs ever come back in a big way. This is my Bismarck captain however but you can easily spec a Tirp for the same build now.

The Germans have changed much? Konig got slapped hard (sigma), so hard that I sold mine instantly. The Secondary nerfs were needed, they're still fine and WG even gave a small range buff. A Bismarck now can shoot over 11km with secondaries when it was 10.6km last year. Afaik nothing else has been touched.

Well that's just the eternal Cruiser problem. I doubt WG will ever change their lol squishy nature even though WoT has some pretty insane class overlap. Moskva has huge range too I guess, something a DM doesn't. Incidentally is a DM like playing a giant T10 Atlanta? Just looking at her poor gun range for a T10, squishy armour and lots of utility. Maybe WG won't change the Conqueror as Yam after the heal nerf hasn't been touched and her 18" are still the ultimate power.

Is Conqueror a physically small ship? I've yet to see one in game, mostly because I haven't home yet today... Monty will still have good AA but massively loses out on concealment now as Conqueror beats it by so much.

Despite reading all this I still want a Moskva. It's basically an RU T10 BattleCruiser. Has Defensive AA, Radar, Heal and very strong gun performance (their sheer accuracy and velocity is crazy and probably messes up your aim on other ships!). So I've got RN BB, Cruisers and RU Cruisers to grind now...

I'm probably the only player out there who still specs their Tirp to the classic stealth build (CE instead of Secondaries). Same as she's always been. Probably still has one of my favourite BB guns, the KM 15". Decent velocity and penetrating despite the relatively low calibre and the faster reloads make the accuracy less of an issue. You can knock the reload to 20s if you're low HP with Adrenaline Rush. I've got my Bismarck for Secondary fun. It was rare I ever torped anyone in the Tirp. Mid range stealth is more viable in more games imo, you're not going to be pulling off many brawls in T10 games on open maps like Tears or Mountain Range.
