All it'll do is hopefully curb WG's worst excesses like a repeat of the Xmas Convoy, e.g not cutting short a promotional video, say they're spoiling us when other regions get full fat bonuses. I've always thought they should just adopt a lazy approach and have one news site and Prem shop/promotions for the whole world and have 4 servers to play on. That'll lower a lot of the regional rage as we'll all be treated the same. Would save a bit in staff wages too!! -
The best fighting range is 12km to 15km, that way Germans can't HE secondary spam you and longer range AP might not smash you. KGV is the change in RB BB ethos, you'll likely lose same or higher tier BB duels but that's what your 12km concealment is for. It might not be a good Ranked or competitive ship but I'm enjoying her in Random Battles.

I watched Flamu's video last night and Kii looks so meh. The TLDR is that it's an Amagi with LESS armour(thicker belt but thinner citadel), a really weak torp belt, 6km rear mounted torps 2x3 launchers which aren't as good as Tirp's ones and insane AA. Other things remain roughly the same. Amagi is free and probably does just as well if not better in most battles. Kii will cost £40+... I'll likely give it a miss or play Amagi again.

Our ability to run a business isn't the issue. Although I think WG factor in discontent players into their business model. Like I spend only on Prem time, I covert almost nothing, buy no.doubloons and usually wait for Prem Ships on discount as WG appear not to care about players or game balance. But even if I wait for a discount on Hood (which I want) I'm only saving £5 and WG will still earn £25 from a slightly annoyed customer. Also looking at all the Graff Zeps I've seen in game recently, even a broken £45 CV will sell to a lot of people. -
Meh, I've just hidden mine. Although if OP grinded them then there should have been credit rewards somewhere in there? Buy a Missouri or something if you need credits ARP and IJN captains being a common pool was great. Means I'll never need to train a new IJN captain ever again as the lines are essentially finished for major releases. Although that does mean my future Taiho captain will be a little Japanese girl

Ranked is not competitive, the meta is different as I imagine competitive actually has teamplay and I'm not kidding either. I've won Ranked twice with Sims and Gallant. The template is the same, you protect your fleet, torp to deny, spot and most importantly shoot only as a last resort. Often it's whichever DD that shoots first that ends up dead as they are bloom spotted whilst you slip back into concealment because you have a brain. Your team will do far more damage that your own pitiful pop guns. Of course you take RPF to hunt&spot those solo DD flankers. My pick would still be Benson, her Hull B got a rudder buff or the Lo Yang for Hydro. But we'll see if the smoke nerfs actually change anything. Can't see Aki being any good, too slow and too fat. Firing your guns will be a death sentence.

Usually things like GamesCom, the height of Summer (July), WoWS own birthday (September), WG's birthday (earlier in the year, May or something?), Christmas (duh) and other random events will give fairly healthy sales. If you want to be mean/smart with your money it pays to wait till sales before getting anything.

Hmm maybe the HE needs to be looked at.... Basically using AP vs most stuff at medium range 12km to 15km or so, Cruisers, DDs, BBs etc until you come across a heavily armoured and angled BB then its time to go crispy. HE will give you easy money damage and fires, then revert to AP vs most targets. I'm starting to get some pretty decent success with that formula, although whether having an 18 point captain thanks to the Warspite in there makes any difference I don't know...

All these various threads have reminded me. DDs are a paradox, people say they're not loved and Radar etc rules all but they're still the one most important class in a Random Battle Domination. I guess it's because 75%+ of the population doesn't care to learn how to DD properly and WG ignores it. -

WoT is all about the maps, there seems to be literal no go zones for various vehicles and situations. Whereas here it's just islands or open sea. WG will argue that higher tiers need more open maps because ships increase in range but that only panders to the BB population as islands mean they need to actually think and steer. RN BB is peak WoWS in my eyes so let's see if WG can actually develop their own game properly or is it due to fade now... -
I think all BB need time to adjust to their particular gun. RN BB have relatively slow velocity whereas German shells are very quick. I was awful in KGV too but I learned her armour and optimal shooting ranges and things improved. Also RE the armour, that belt is pretty damn tough but the issue is shells often sneak into the ship around it so your protection feels awful sometimes.

I'm finding the AP more accurate than Derp Scharnhorst. Feels like I get far more Devastating Strikes but that might be due to the extra gun and higher calibre as Scharn AP can be resisted by Cruisers.

Hiden has crazy armour, at least it's hard for a Bismarck to chew through it... Nurn is the lol, only ship I've played that takes a citadel on the tip of it's bow...

I agree with your captain build, maybe vigil instead of BFT but it's no big deal. I'm mad and will be rolling with radar, it's served me well so far in Neptune and Edinburgh. 49s duration or so with that radar module so you're the ultimate DD Predator.

It's because USN Squadrons have more planes so they're massively stronger in strafes and dogfights...

Intelligent use of AP and HE will still beat the HE spammers. Question is whether HE BBs lower the skill level so it's harder to do badly with them. That's likely a bad thing as BB play is already way easier than the other classes. -
Good players are the most OP.... Although I really do have fun when I'm the only DD in a game with no CV. It's free reign as bad as when games didn't mirror CVs.

Also if you look at her armour model in port she seems to have thin armour on the baseplate of turret A. Hard to hit but it's there.

Dirty Belfast abuser!! I only discovered her power a few days ago (no idea why as I've owned her for months). She's way better than a Flint as you get to about 12km to the enemy, slow, pop smoke at 19knots then harvest. The only thing you need to worry about are people spotting for you. Did you get reported that game? I get such abuse in mine lol -
They could have just bought a few books off Amazon and a few scale models. Wikipedia could have given them a lot of info too... I nuked a KGVs front quad turret yesterday. I was reverse bow camping in my Nelson and I had already burned a Gnesi, a KGV was charging me and I thought I'd try my luck at the turret. Blew through it in one salvo and I survived as i basically completely gimped his firepower. Not killing a Nelson with 2 14" guns... I mean the flat turret face seems like a weakness but it's pretty rare you can aim to knock it out. Anyone else found this?

I'm finding she's far better in Standard Battles as the game isn't decided in the first 3 yolo minutes and supporting DDs early is asking for 6+ in the PT icon! Donskoi seems to have acceptable armour as you can resist some stuff at longer ranges even though you'll still take massive angled citadel strikes sometimes. Only 100k exp from Moskva however! As much as I love the Neptune, Donskoi is more effective as I've grinded both at exactly the same time and I'm miles closer to Moskva than I am Minotaur. Question is which ship in the RU line to keep?

An "Ask the Unicum" thread like in WoT will do essentially nothing, their thread on their forum has been running awhile and the standard of play can only be described as "lol" still

Problem with that is the game is often over by the time the end game comes around. I do like the ship and I totally get why the radar is so short ranged for balance reasons but you essentially need a lot of people with you to make it work as you're not killing a DD alone with that short duration and the relatively slow reload. I've only got one radar module and I stuck it on my Neptune as 49s radar is simply OP as you know a DD is 100% dead meat when you've activated it where as with Donskoi its "PLSSS SHOOOOTT DDDDDDSSSSDD NNAAAUUUU" I'll keep playing her but I doubt she's a keeper after I unlock the RU BattleCruiser at T10...
