The drop rate for a ship is single figures within the chance of getting an SC so it's essentially not worth worrying about.

The collection does actually make sense as most of the challenges are related to the item you win. Although the descriptions for some of them are down right offensive as it shows WG glossing over their issues... And I got meh to trash SCs, personally I think modules in SC are rigged to give you the most useless modules. The only gifts I really want are the bunch of special flags and the Monarch camo but everything was free so it can't be too bad...

Well yes there are still lol landslide losses, I've got a screenshot where I lost a Standard game in literally minutes as we got capped. I came top as a CV of the losing side with 40k damage, still not sure how that ever happened...

Standard only exists for farming missions as it drastically lowers the chance of a potato team ending the game prematurely due to fail

I mean to learn how to CV properly one day as I feel it's the last frontier of this game but yeah there are many issuea like you've mentioned. Plus the actual CV point of view is utterly soul destroying. It's spreadsheet bad almost and actually suffers FPS drop which is pretty amazing optimisation on WG's behalf...

I don't bother reporting border campers but I do give my first report to the ones who say "Next noob team"' or a similar phrase when they die early. I do however call out border campers at the end of a game when I'm on the other side

I take Camo & Flags these days so I can naturally accrue useful flags. Plus you can still get SC via non Feeling Lucky drops. Afaik there is a roll for SC at the point you ask for the box and another when those Feelin Lucky dice pop up...

Well it's more the problem of the gulf between even an average CV and the top ones being vast, let alone if one is potato. And the skill difference ruins games as the pro CV will one strike lone ships, knock every enemy plane out the sky, bait potato Defensive AA then eventually come for the hard targets when they're low HP and stripped of AA.

If WG insist on giving out standard flags they should be only the Commander XP, Free XP and Ship XP buffs. Or at least they're the only ones I find are useful all the time. Stuff like Fireproof, Dreadnaught, High Calibre and Secondary buffs are easy for any half decent BB player to farm by playing.

Trash tier modules yes, although I've mounted the spotter plane one on the Molotov just for fun as it's not a competitive ship...

I would think the meta has affected the Gearing very badly. She was created back before radar, widespread hydro, Khaba, KM DDs and the willingness of everyone to have a go shooting at DDs. Fletcher beats a Gearing by simply not shooting and turning tail. You can then give the Gearing the middle finger as you slip into concealment and his bloom lights him up to everybody

Farm Elite XP in Fletcher, don't waste time and effort retraining imo. Personally I find all T10 BBs and Gearing let downs. Khaba is nice but I don't use her much, only Moskva amazes me out of the 6 T10s I have.

I believe I've cracked the formula of hitting R1 with USN type DDs, you are first and foremost a spotter and fleet defender/smoking machine. The caps are contested as a team later on after you secure your natural cap, indeed it's often better to simply fight it out when it's 1 cap a side instead of pushing. "Bad" Lo Yang torps don't concern me that much since I've done Ranked in a Sims, now those are awful torps but I still got decent strikes. If everyone has Lo Yangs then it's a question of who has the best trigger discipline and can get better team support. I've won plenty of Ranked games with low or no damage, it's possible to win without firing a shot in more extreme circumstances. A DD revealing themselves for the sake of a few k of HE damage isn't worth lightning yourself up like an Xmas tree esp when the rest of your team is in smoke. Still the new smoke changes might change that... My method isn't the only way to rank up but it's one that's worked multiple times for me.

I call the camping DDs buff,I will completely change direction from when they last saw me and they usually dump their torps in the direction I was previously traveling in. Lo Yang would be that much stronger I guess as you'll have the benefit of spotting them first. Not at Z23 yet but is having a wide boy DD as much of an issue as they say? BB AP seems to really damage them...

I wish to try her but I refuse to buy until there's a T7 Prem ship Doubloon discount. Had hoped for one this weekend but I'm willing to wait...

Hmmm true as I've had serous abuse thrown at me when DBing DDs in normal CVs. I guess it's just CV balance in general. Their skill ceiling is sky high (pun intended) but at the same time their floor is rock bottom...

An RPF equipped USN DD is already pretty decent at forcing stuff out of smoke etc, I guess Hydro can only improve that!

Ack, I could really use more Speed Boosts and Radar modules but WG knows this and literally gave me about 5+ of DCP and AA modules...

Damn to retire young enough to game all day... I like the rewards but you've got double my flags and I haven't exactly been given a handful. I'm sure you barely need to bring anything now.

Was full speed in a KGV and trying to do my PoW impression... The GZ halved me in the first strike despite AA support then the next 4+ all derped. Hopefully those are not final drop patterns but Enterprise does similar things so WG seem to want AP bombs. I'm half tempted by an Enterprise just to troll BBs but it's very expensive for what I see as second rate T8 CV (Shokaku is your Lord and Master, doesn't need AP bombs to sink BBs either)

And this is the ship's issue. Too big and fat for a DD. And the clumsy nature means that if you've messed up then it's that bit harder to dodge and get out of there. It's bad enough for a normal DD to get gun bloomed but it's deadly in Aki. I'll be forced to play it for the Anniversary Achievement anyway...

AP bombs are an idiotic addition sorry. Only working against BBs will really encourage more players to CV properly clearly as enough players don't bother scouting and try to focus BBs only anyway... I've been at the receiving end of them in a BB and it's like the old days of CV but worse as both you and the CV are at the mercy of RNG. They might sink you in one strike and they might take loads of strikes. I've heard Defensive AA does nothing too so even more lol DBs need a rework in general, nerf the max damage and make the Manual drop circle tiny but the damage more assured like on the Kaga.

I have no friends for Division play Islands help me survive... It's just like playing a higher tier Atlanta but with decent torps and lul heal. Yes if you get the wrong map you're utterly obliterated but I find it's workable. Although I started grinding for Minotaur and Moskva at the same time, I've already got Moskva and Mino grind is less than half way now. That pretty telling lol...
