I'd still rather see more well rounded CVs, as much I'd find an anti BB CV funny I think they sell short a CVs role. AP bombs are funnier than DW torps no? People get so angry when they lose 3/4 hp in one strike, gives BB players that Cruiser feeling... -

Yeah that mysterious ability that involves turning when you see incoming strike planes (NOT as they are about to hit) , even big fatties like Yam can greatly reduce the amount of fish slapping the side of the hull... -

I haven't watched that but I'm thinking... Why DW torps on TBs!?! It's not like they'll be any more stealthy and the BB is going to get blind sided by them?! Also surely this would just encourage bad CVs to focus BBs even harder when they should actually be trying to pop the DDs etc?? -

I used to take Manual AA or AFT in my KM and USN BBs respectively. But now FP is far more viable, as I think under 50% if not nearer 25% of games even have a CV in them but you will get HE spammed 100% of games. It's almost not worth caring about speccing for anti CVs in Random Battles now and just sail with your Cruisers or use the rudder better instead. -

For BBs 100%, I'm in the process of reskilling all relevant BBs with FP. HE spam meta means you simply survive longer as ships are far less likely to multi burn you so you can let that 1 fire burn out then repair. Other ships, I'd say no. -
My Duca was 100% 7/10 an hour ago when I played so I doubt I got thereset. Although I bought mine in July and barely played her.

The Harekaze is the ship the Aki wished it was... You lose a gun turret and some HP but in return you get double the torps, faster speed and maneuverability so you stand a chance at dodging & running away. Add in 5.4 km concealment and you've got a very decent package. I'm just a bit sad Aki buffs are hidden behind a paywall...

Meh except you can win the modules via SCs which is totally random. I'd love another radar module instead of the 7 or so Defensive AA ones I have. WG can keep the Flint, they power crept it out with the Belfast which is simply better.

Meh a game I just had in the Harekaze, both myself and the Saipan got whined at because we didn't protect the BBs and do enough damage. Despite myself having a hand in capping all 3 points, constantly sailing in front of everyone and the CV doing his best with Strike deck to shoot stuff down. We still won big too. Problem I see is whilst BBs are great and all, they need the support of other classes (until WG gives one Radar and Defensive AA, likely a RU Prem). I imagine a lot of the BB players don't dabble in other stuff and realise how difficult they are to play and that service is not given on a plate... -

Any Div with an intelligent USN DD is brutal, as long as the DD is willing to spot and smoke his bros above all else. I gave my buddies 150k spotting damage in smoke safety and finished bottom half of the XP table as Viktor's special thanks

CE because Stealth BBs are troll and WG won't change it until we all abuse it to hell. FP after at pretty much all costs, it feels like a massive HP buff as generally you won't suffer more than than one fire. I used it through an entire season of Ranked with BBs and it's really noticeable. IFHE after those two is viable yeah but I'd be more tempted into survivability skills. Even AR is a better pick as your reload will touch 20s at low hp which is insane for a BB, IFHE won't make up for a DPM and fire chance hike that scales as a progresses; as long as you do your BB duty and take hits.

Triple BB divs tend to lower a team's effectiveness... I refuse to div up as 3 BBs and will take a DD usually if my buddies want to BattleBote. A good player is going to make a difference, a good player with friends will have a bigger impact. However WG will never change random MM, WoT is over 6 years old and still rolling onward.

Correct me if I'm wrong but RN BB have IFHE built in already, adding the skill makes the HE pretty insane but I don't feel it stands above CE or FP as essential picks. Far better off dipping into lower level skills to improve survivability.

If that's how you feel then just play USN, wait for a Sims to be sold in fact as that thing is utterly insane and can thread it's way through pretty much anything. The season I hit R1 in a Sims I must have been torped less than 5 times if at all...

Lel... Forget about the skills that WG didn't talk about, although why would you have Expert Tail Gunner without RN CVs? IFHE is just a big NO however, it's a complete waste of 4 points. My RN BB skill pick is PM, PT or that double float skill, EM, SI, CE, FP, AR and Vigil to finish. You could swap Vigil for JoAT and another level 1 skill or EM for JoAT but that's pretty much it. FP is especially useful, I'm taking it on all my BBs now as HE spam is so common. It really improves survivability.

It would be most useful in a higher tier Cruiser as you'd get +1 heal on FB and if you ever got Kraken then the party would get going... A Turbo Zao would be interesting. Maybe a DD with Torp Reload Booster but you'd likely need JoAT and a long game to really use the +1.

Firstly: Anyone who's played the Monarch. What do you think of it? Here's not the place to discuss her mutant nature but her performance in game. I've only had a few games so far but I'm finding her accuracy better than that of the KGV and the AP has far better penetration than the 14" guns. Decent self defence AA that shoots down same tier planes pretty well too. Oh and the armour is finally approaching good, it doesn't squish from weird angles like KGV and her soft nose. 10.9km concealment with full upgrades is a bit silly, I was too tight to Free XP range and engines (I would recommend Free XPing Hull A) but 16km range stock is actually "ok" when you have Cruiser level concealment as no one can see you anyway! Fire chance is more like a normal BB, it isn't 45% or whatever but the IFHE like HE buff still slaps stuff around. I like her, a solid progression from the KGV. Just a shame about the middle finger stuck up at the history books...

Gearing has better guns and better torp alpha but they reload slower... You pay for it as Gearing is fat and takes epic AP damage. Fletcher is just a Super Benson with better torps and Defensive AA without giving up a gun. Has no real weakness.

With IJN almost never... It's usually on stuff like German BB or rapid fire 15xMM Cruisers and I don't have a Mogami.

That's my #1 pet hate... When the front DD goes into a cap, smokes then hides in it. GG everybody, we're about to get torped and stealth spotted to hell IMO DDs should rarely hide in smoke and should be more mobile but there are exceptions.
