Stop showing off Smurf and give your captain his last 300k XP But good DD players always have an escape route yes and good discipline with their guns. The amount of potatoes who fire at my DD then suffer 20s bloom is immeasurable, that is when you laugh and slip into concealment whilst your team crushes them. Let me say that again for aspiring DD players: If you and the enemy DD spot each other at the start then don't always shoot back, definitely don't smoke then sit in it but turn away and bait their shore whilst spotting for your team. Not enough people understand the above so it's worth repeating. Oh and Smurf, what torps for the Yang? I'm used to Sims so I actually find the 9.2 km ones have acceptable alpha

Secondaries are nerfed? Didn't WG give you a range buff when they lowered the fire chance and rof? If you dislike HE spam then get Fire Prevention... If your AP overpens then aim lower, or better

I would kill for a 19 point Lo Yang captain... Likely some sort of bait post but learn which ships can radar and hydro you. Learn to avoid them, your quality of life may improve.

Well to be fair to WG, a lot of folk on here myself included would never play CB seriously as we know our time and life commitments simply don't fit waiting for 6 others at prime evening times. Whilst I'm in a clan I joined on the premise that we are all free to farm oil, div when we want and essentially not need to assemble for games or practice sessions. Now whether these slightly strange times alienate people on the fence is another matter...

That's why I only ride RN Cruisers with Radar instead of Smoke. The sheer power a Minotaur has with 56s radar, rapid fire sAP and a concealment range of 8.9km cannot be emphasised enough. Still there are many non believers. But yeah radar used at the right time with Atlanta's rate of fire and heavy alpha means that few DDs will ever escape. Key part of playing Atlanta is island hugging, even if they know you're there you can be very hard to dislodge. Don't go out in the open and certainly don't shoot if the enemy has any prospect of nuking you. Be patient!! I've never been a big smoke fan anyway, I tend to lay it for others...

USN BBs arguably hit their peak with Iowa/Missouri. Missouri is my top tier BB choice, I'd rather use her than any T10 BB I have (I own all except Conq) If you're starting out with the T8 NC then get closer... USN BB tend to only be accurate reliably when they reach their concealment range, that's about 12km. Too many players fire from 20km and never get closer, you might get the odd big hit but it won't be reliable. USN BBs have frustrating shell arcs at first and fairly bad armour unless you angle. They are more BattleCruiser arguably.

Both Naga and her old counter part Colo were not amazing but they prepared you for higher tiers with their guns. Both had very patchy armour that let in some pretty big shots, soft nose etc Then Gneisi came and actually offered a reliable armour pattern. Now KGV shames them all with super fire spam. Colo is hurting more due to having far less HP to burn away and being lel slow, Naga actually has a chance of contributing if you spawn badly in a T9 game unlike Colo in a corner... Naga and Colo do have nice 16" that blow through most things you might face in the MM. I've kept both but they have been left behind in terms of ability.

Well to put it simply I've put quite a few hours into Ranked but times me by 7 and you'll be hard pressed to get anywhere near the same amount of game time. Most clans that aren't try hard kids with no commitments will be lucky to assemble for more than a few hours a week which isn't many games. If anyone here can tell me they've got a clan with enough guys to get regular games at prime time then speak now. Even a roster of 30 might make this difficult as that's about 25% of your clan you need assembled to grind.

The whole CW thing is lol... I mean it's actually extremely difficult to assemble 7 of you night after night, especially as this game is played by generally older folk with jobs and families. It's why I liked Ranked, I don't have time for CW at prime time when I've got other commitments. WG falling to understand their clientele.

This is actually a ship that's worth coming back to after more experience. I've had mine ages but have barely used her, now I've taken RN Cruisers with radar to T10 I feel much better equipped at handling her. Almost preferable to my Flint as I feel radar is more powerful than smoke.

Yeah I've got Tiger 1 too but I've barely played recently. KV1 is very nice when vs T5 or T6. Maybe I'll go back at some stage, or just buy a Scorpion G or whatever and camp...

Yeah, my favorite tank is probably the VK 45.03 as it has epic view ranges with a punchy accurate gun. RU Heavies are sucky as they're essentially blind. I did plan on staying at T5 but the MM is brutal...

So far no one has thrown planes at my 600dpm+ Mino, that makes me sad...

Well I got 48 in Gneisi. 82 in a Flint must have been vs two potato CVs. Too bad my Flint doesn't have AFT yet!

Yeah, at higher tiers it's essentially impossible unless you're in a CV vs an utter moron. The last time I got CS was in an AA Gneisi in a CV Div where the enemy carrier didn't engage his brain.

GZ players make it possible

The guns are more accurate than a lot of BBs out there but the issue is they have very low shell velocity. If you're coming from a Warspite then you'll understand. A problem is that even though they're accurate, they do fairly low damage so you need to make every shot count. Go for Cruisers first but the sAP still damages BBs consistently, you'll rarely get citadel strikes however. Knowing how to tank and using Hood's speed is key to doing well.

Angle ship, use HE, stay at medium range (approx 10km to 15km) . You'll out tank and out damage 75% of other BB. If that doesn't work then go play a KM BB and yolo.

Logging in and that code both give rewards, thanks. I'll try Planes sometime I guess... Tanks bored me as the concealment mechanic feels way too unfair. Not knowing a map makes playing a waste of time as you get invisible camped with no prospect of ever seeing your killer.

None, he's sat in the Reserves doing nothing. All my IJN captains are either over 15 points, in ships I barely play or in a CV (for which Yama is utterly useless). I'm not dropping to 15pts in my best ships for situational captain skills. Also WG allowing ARP, HSF and other promotional captains like that Dragon one means I've got way too many captains already...

I think Lo Yang is "the" actual Benson that got given to RoC...

I came close to the Citadel one twice, also in Mino. Got 9 lol... I was a d0uche for the 2 DD kills and surviving task as I basically got the kills then drove into a corner

Well the only ones I haven't done for the 5th set are Task 1, 2, 3 and 7. I've got a very diverse selection of ships....

Some of those final Yamamoto missions were silly. The Defended one wasn't nice and neither is getting 10 Citadels in 1 Cruiser game. Fortunately I didn't need them and have the captain now.
