These DDs are going to get horribly misplayed by the majority of the playerbase.

You cant drop out of your league. That is the whole "problem" to the quality of games since it facilitates yolo'ing and afk'ing. It is more time efficient to farm all the rewards by yolo'ing your ship in the enemy team and immediately start a new match, than it is to actually try to play and win. Farming all Gold league rewards is possible without ever firing your guns. Imagine. This should not be possible. Imagine if clanbattles would have this way of distributing rewards.... Furthermore the irrevocable ranks AND the starsave mechanic, also contribute to this problem. Ranked should reward winning. Nothing else. Ranked should reward good (team)play. But sadly it does not. Ranking out with 45% winrate should not be possible at all, but sadly due to the aforementioned mechanics it is. So that is why i play it for what it is: Randoms with rewards and less players. No stress.

Have had quite a lot of 1v1's in my Desmo versus a Napoli in CBs recently. That ship doesnt get citadelled easily indeed. So that is why i tend to shoot at it as if it were a BB: Aim for upper belt and aft and stern to get pens. Only when it is really close to you, I aim for citadels but that is mostly when you're getting rushed by a Napoli.

Why don't you play ranked then? Only +1 mm.

I dont agree: most unicums i meet are actually quite nice. When you play well and you are not toxic in chat, your karma will steadily increase. Unless you play CVs ofcourse.

Hmm looks like you havent got a lot of experience playing DDs by the sound of it. Nope, that is what i thought. Maybe play these ships yourself before making such statements about them. Besides it gives you insight into how to play against hem.

Nowhere did i write that bad players shouldnt play. Let me tell you what, a clanmate of mine is handicapped as well. Has very limited use of his hands yet plays at above average level. If players with a disability play this game, cheers to them. Am i not allowed to imagine what kind of player is behind such accounts? Maybe im too competitively minded to understand, but where exactly is the "fun" part in being a liability for each team you're on and losing most matches without doing much? I'd rather play PvE, coop or story driven games when I couldnt play at my best due to disability. Otherwise I'd feel constant guilt of dragging my teammates down.

Except nobody cares about that. The rank out rewards used to be substantial amounts of steel and Doubloons. Now, even without ranking out and just spamming games at Rank 10 you receive up to 95% of the rewards. This new system caters to all the 45% wr spammers who otherwise wouldn't have gotten all rewards because they couldn't climb the ladders up the ranks. But now they don't have too. They just have to play enough games to reach X amount of wins. Bad news for the good players, great news for the bad players.

Did you play and rank out in the old ranked seasons? If not. You cannot know if he is right or wrong.

Damn right. They griefed all competitive minded players with their ranked rework. Players can litteraly afk their way to all rewards except the pitiful rank out rewards nowadays. Maybe that is also why there are so many afkers and suiciders these days. So sad.... But since this is what we have now I play them like randoms. Sometimes I try hard and sometimes I goof around. Who gives a **** about the competitive element of ranked anymore anyway.

You can litteraly go in and suicide and queue up for the next game. This way you can spam hundreds of games in a day where even with only 20% wr you will have all the rewards, since you cannot drop out of your league. Wonderful isn't it?

Why didnt you shoot a DD in the first minutes? You started farming their BBs. Which is great for your own damage, but terrible for your team's chances of winning. Those 8k chunks on BBs do almost nothing for their total hp whereas only one or two hits on one of their DDs could mean your friendly DD wins the fight. Killing. DDs. Wins. Games. Also, instead of sitting behind one of the caps on the side the whole game, try to take a more centralised position after that cap has been secured. This gives you a greater influence on the rest of the map and makes reacting to the flow of the battle easier since youre a big fat slow boat.
