In a single sprint anything can happen due to the low sample size. Incredibly bad players can have 100% winstreak and the best player can have 40%wr in the same amount of games. Ofcourse in the long run it will even out, just like with randoms.

To make it harder for noobs to progress. Honestly when you have difficulties progressing in ranked the root of the problem is between the chair and the monitor.

That is even with the substantial buff to FDG's guns a while ago. See stats as a way to gauge your own performance. See where you can improve. If that is your goal, stats can be very useful. The only way to really improve is to be open to constructive criticism: let other good and experienced players take a look at your replays, your build, your captain and try to put their advice into practice.

@kenalb It seems you're simply having trouble aiming. My advice: Play lower tiers more. You rushed up the ranks too quick without learning basic things along the way, which is a classic mistake. See the difference in accuracy between the both of us:

I preferred the 5v5. It was a lot of fun and we used multiple lineups and tactics. Had a 17 winstreak last night. :D The 3v3 was fun but got stale very quick. Mogador/Emilio, Alaska/Agir, Pommern/Georgia... Again and again and again. Anyhow, both were good for free xp grinding. Both were fun. Hi Smaland.

They could have made such great new captain skills that incentivise teamplay, pushing, playing the objective, etc. Could have been a turning point in the ever declining state of teamplay. Could've, would've, should've.

Given how most players play for example battleships and specc their commanders, WG could go through numerous reworks without any difference in how the majority plays. Or are we under the impression that 40% wr SE max range HE shooting bbs are a thing of the past once the rework hits? I do agree that most top players run the same builds. But that is only logical since it's how they play: they min-max. So, in a few weeks after the rework when the dust has settled we will have the same situation: pepegas running pepega builds and tryhards running try hard builds. The only difference will be that wargaming has probably made a sh!tload of money along the way.

Such a simple game yet this playerbase fails to grasp the essence of the gamemode. They rather sit and snipe in their thunderers from 22km away. Luckily the captain skill rework will fix this...... Oh wait.

Yeah same. I simply cannot be arsed to do all the work needed to familiarize myself with the new captain skill, as well as demounting + mounting, as well as respeccing every captain, as well as testing things out. It's just too much. And there are multiple other really good games screaming for my attention. Hmm, spending my free time doing wows homework or actually playing games.... Tough choice Oh and as the cherry on the cake: The balance in the game, as fragile as it may be, will be ****ed up for months as players have to relearn everything. We are always complaining on the forums about how bad the average player is nowadays and how uninformed they are about the game. Yeah. Good luck educating them about a whole new captain system. Every single video, tutorial, etc. previously made will be useless.

@Saliachan If you want to improve your US CL gameplay I might be able to help. Grinded the line multiple times and sit in leader board top50 with most ships of the line. Just pm me some average replays of you and screenshots of your build + captain. Ill provide you with feedback, dos&donts, tips'n'tricks, etc.

Ask @El2aZeR, I bet he is one of the players with the most solo warriors on EU. But basically how to get solo warrior: play a cv, be really good at it, have a team that wants to lose really bad, carry harder than they can throw, profit.

When target is lightly armored, wait for then to turn a little bit so your shells arms. Flat broadside is really tempting to shoot, but also tends to give a lot of overpens. Slightly angled however...
