    FAQ FOR BEGINERS

Q: what starts with g and ends with d? A: git gud
  2. Yeah me too. Why can't ships just have a national flavor and that's it? This is turning into World of Gimmicks. The game becomes harder and harder to grasp for new players who do not only have to memorize all kinds of ships but also learn about more and more gimmicks. Deepwater torpedoes, mbrb, sap, etc. Etc. But I guess in the end its all about selling new ships to players...
  3. Flambass calling his 16th!!!!!!!!! "best" performing TX Cruiser OP. GOOD MEME AND CLICKBAIT. If you consider Austin OP you've either not played her or you lack understanding of the game. It's not OP.

    WR accurate?

    This.
  5. Send it to one of the community managers, Crysantos or Conway, in pm's. They handle such things.

Why offen nerve coals ships WoW?

As if players here on the forum have any influence about gaming/gambling legislation?????? About compensation: How on earth would you go about that? f.e. Player A has bought thunderer on day 1 and played hundreds of games in her and Player B has bought her on the last day and only played a few matches in her. Do both get full compensation? Kinda unfair, if you ask me, as player A has used it way more. The experience of playing a ship cannot be returned. I'd laugh my *** off if i could get my resources back for all those ships I played hundreds of battles in to go and play other ships.... This all feels like its being blown way out of proportion. A ship with already ludicrous range gets a minor rangenerf of about 4%. If anyone needed to play at that range they are probably uber pepega anyway. You know the WoWs playerbase by now right? There are people who spend insane amounts of cash on this game. In F2P games the top 5% spenders account for most of the revenue and they are most likely to keep spending regardless what WG does. Because they're either addicted, loaded with cash or have collecting urges.....or all three at once.

Why offen nerve coals ships WoW?

Except Massa is still very strong, borderline OP. Less effective maybe, but not "give me my money back because its unplayable" nerfed, like f.e. YY. In the end everyone should ask themselves if they find a ship their money's worth, considering their perceived value might change in the future. One thing is for sure: Nobody is going to get their money back from WG.

Why offen nerve coals ships WoW?

Then you should ask yourself if you would do it again in the future. Nobody forces you to spend money on this game.

Why offen nerve coals ships WoW?

Stalin, Smol and Thun were all available for a whopping 0 euro. So I dont see a problem with them being nerfed or buffed. Players who did spend money on them should ask themselves if they would do it again, knowing their purchased product might change in the future. Wows is always developing, new ships get added, the meta changes, the balance changes.... so at some point more nerfs/buffs will be needed. This is just the nature of the game. Or should WG pay back everyone's money who claim their ships arent OP anymore? Is kutuzov still as OP? No? gimme ma money WG! atlanta? Money back! Scharnhorst? Money back!

Why offen nerve coals ships WoW?

Again, dont you want overperforming ships to be toned down? Even if you paid ingame currency for it? I paid steel and coal for stalin, thunderer and smolensk, but i am happy that they are being toned down. (Even if it is almost neglectible)

Why offen nerve coals ships WoW?

The ships are still good. Don't you think they should be nerfed if they are overperforming? The thunderer meta is so utter c*ncer that I hope they nerf it into the ground.
  12. @Redcap375 You can rest now. Stalin is finally balanced.

Had it with rampant toxicity in the game

@Karasu_Hidesuke the question is: do they have a point when they criticise you and do you want to improve? If they have a point but you don't want to improve, why bother? If they have a point and you want to improve, the forum is the place to be to improve. If they don't have a point, why bother?

    DDs without Survivability Expert?

Sure speccing for torps is nice and all but as already said in this thread: That is only a good strat if youre a good player. For average players any buff to survivability is way more useful.

1 unique (one time) Token to buy any ship

The artificial scarcity is what makes them valuable. Your suggestion would decrease their value and thus the attraction of lootboxes. Tldr: Bad idea because less $ for WG.

    DDs without Survivability Expert?

    You're that one percent.

    DDs without Survivability Expert?

When I see DDs without SE I immediately assume they're ultra bad and 99/100 times my assumption is right. Like... Why the F wouldn't you take 20% extra hp!?!? That's as valuable as concealment expert. Especially IJN DD players seem to be prone to this. BeCaUsE mE tOrPbOtE mE sTeALtHy. Sigh.

    big brain players

No skill? That's wrong. Cvs require far less skill to be somewhat successful in compared to surface ships. That's right.

Okay, am I missing the point of this touching story or...?

    kiev or ognevoi?

Kiev is pure gunboat. Focus is on long range HE spam and WASD-dodging potential damage. Ognevoi is more of a hybrid. Not top in any field but more of a Swiss knife. Force dcps with torps, set follow up fires. I personally love gunboats because it is less vulnerable to matchmaking. A gunboat doesn't care about radars or amount of DDs. Your playstyle stays the same.

    Broken game logic.

Please no. Taking "Initiative and risk" is how 90% of the playerbase plays and its awful. It's the equivalent of gambling at roulettes: most of the time youre left holding the back but every once in a while you get it right. Taking initiative in this game means, for most players, press "W" and hope for the best. It means charging in and dying, only to rage in chat about lack of support from their team. Same goes for risk. To know the risk involved in a particular move you need to understand the game to a certain extend. How often do you guys predict something happening long before it happens? For me? Every battle. "If that guy doesn't turn now he will die......." He's dead. "If that guy goes into the cap he will get Radared by the not yet spotted radar cruiser, who is most likely behind that island." Surprise! He got Radared and died. Every. Single. Game. What the game should reward is teamplay. And be transparent about what actions give rewards. At some point even the worst players should understand. Spotting for your team, laying smokescreens, capping, tanking (potential) damage, surviving, etc. The game should reward winning more and losing less. But alas, the game only focusses on damage. The current ranked system is the prime example with its starsaving mechanic and for randoms its not much better with its "oh you lost again? well here you have credits and xp for farming HE dmg from je J-line in your range mod thunderer. Well done!" The other day I played a DD to spot and smoke for my team. I finished at the bottom of my team but we won the game. Got complimented a couple of times and how did the game reward me? By giving me the least amount of xp. And judging from wows numbers I had played "bad". But did I? I won the game didn't it? I contributed to my teams' victory by helping others do their job. Why shouldn't I just farm damage. Why shouldn't I risk the victory of my team to get more credits and xp? It's silly. Fyi: if you can "damage farm" from cover in let's say, a worcester, without taking damage.. That isn't cowardice or abusing game mechanics. It's simply understanding the game and your ship and how to be effective with it. It's a risk-vs-reward game. You risk pushing up to get into a position where you can be effective, but once in that position you risk getting flanked and spotted. You risk getting overrun. You risk your ship in order to do damage. Now if the enemies just walk into you and let you do your thing, that is their fault. Every HE spam ship in the game with lazy arcs has a simple counter: don't sit still.

    Broken game logic.

As much as I like to be high right now: im actually very low. 1.5 meters below sea level to be exact. Are you going to keep up this crusade if yours against wargaming, it's players and the rest of the world about how criminally underpowered and unrealistic BBs are or are you done by now? Because whatever your gallant goal is: nothing is going to change about bbs. In fact: the inevitable implementation of submarines is going to make the class even more obsolete. :) fun times, eh?
  23. GarrusBrutus

    Broken game logic.

Is this BBaby still going? He must have a lot of time on his hands. Oh, I see. It's because he has to wait for his shells to finally be reloaded. :) :) :) :)
  24. GarrusBrutus

    Broken game logic.

Go play those small calibre ships and see for yourself how hard or easy it is. You're only playing once class which makes your point of view very one-dimensional. The thing is: Those small calibre guns need time to do damage whereas BB guns can do so in one volley. So when i read "Those small guns do ludicrious damage in short amount of time" it translates to "i sat in the wrong position and let them farm me."

    Broken game logic.

I read an aweful lot of "But in reallife......" and "Capital ships".....That does raise quite a few red flags for me.
