I have it on all my ships because it often tells me there are other ships around that I haven't spotted yet. That combined with some basic mapreading skills, last know position and RPF gives me plenty of info to play to the best of my ability.

Well some people have exams in november, some people move houses in october, some people go to the toilet in september, etc. etc. There is never a time that suits everybody. Sorry that you cannot play during december because youre too busy righting postcards and watching christmasspecials, sorry wargaming doesnt create a clanbattles schedule that fits your personal needs. I'm pretty sure these are the optimal times for clanbattles. Why? Because peak hours. WG has the exact numbers when most players are online and voila, thats when clanbattles are. Again, might not suit the middle aged who are purchasing christmas decorations but it does suit the majority of the playerbase.

During the run up to Christmas and NY... The seasons started a month before these events. So you're saying you cannot field a team because everyone is busy preparing their Christmas dinner a month before? Now I understand it's hard to field a team of 7 at any given time. But atm Bad-A has 39!!!!! Members. Shouldn't be too hard to have 7 online at night during those weeks. Besides that, you do not have to play four days and all the hours as a clan. If your clan can only play Sunday night for two hours, that's OK. The current times and days have been chosen because they're the most convenient for the largest part of the player base. If it doesn't suit your personal life... Sorry but that's too bad for you.

If you can't make it to any of the days during the entire clan battle season is it really WGs fault or do you just don't have enough time to play CBS?

Luckily with the Christmas events everyone will be able to get steel and in time, a stalingrad. So in the next Clan battles season every team, from gale to hurricane, will be able to field stalingrads. It can't be OP if everyone has them.

@Redcap375 I know and agree with everything you just said. Especially about the route that war gaming is taking by bringing out T10 premiums and monetizing the game more and more. It has changed a lot in that sense. But my reply was meant for the T10 premiums which can't be bought (yet). So right now, theoraticaly (I know, I know) clans are on even footing.

Sorry I disagree. Noone forces you to play everything 100%. So what you can't do it all? You can choose what you want to play and how much time you want to invest in it.

What I take from it is that its an excuse for your losses. We lost to teams who didnt field a single stalingrad because they played better than us in that match. We won against teams who fielded four stalingrads against us because we played better than them in that match. Now, if the meta proves to be "the moarrr stalins the better"... well.. after christmas everyone and their mother will have one. Merry Xmas boys.

Funfact: Scrubs and AAO's winrates after the first CB's session are almost the same. Stalingrad-heavy setup not so invincible after all?

In the end we are all here because we love playing this game no matter if we are a potato or a unicum. And we would like to see this game flourish with a healthy player base and not too many problems (as stated somewhere above). What has this to do with this thread? Well, in order for the game to flourish we must encourage everyone to keep playing or start playing this game. And putting ships behind a skill wall just isn't the way to do it. Sure, it is enjoyable to be envied for something you have that others haven't. Been there and done that in the Stalingrad. I will not lie, I absolutely loved the hate from everyone that thought (at that time) that they couldn't ever get it. But after a while that does get stale. And I started to think about the bigger picture: is having an extremely exclusive ship in this game good for the game? Will it turn people off from playing. Probably. I'm not an expert and far from unbiased but it's probably not good for the health of the game in the longterm. But what about all those who have spent the time and effort to achieve what they have achieved in competitive? I don't know. It's a bitter pill to swallow to see potatoes sail a stalingrad. Also for me. Because yes, I have sacrificed a lot of my free time because I really wanted to have the ship. And those people should be rewarded for it. In the form of another ship? In the form of a special commander with special threats? In the form of a special camo? That's up to the devs to decide and up to the (comp.) players to decide if it's still worth it to put these amounts of time into it. Because from a typhoon/hurricane player's point of view the whole "play competitive well and get a ship" chapter is just a farce. And from the potatoes POV it's also a farce since they can get it anyway through grinding. So the Stalingrad chapter has been a failure in my book. It has created two sides within the player base with a gap between them the size of the grand canyon. Ps. Please give potatoes a stalingrad so they can see for themselves how "OP" it is. Pss. It will boost my stats.
