Ferry I played some games tonight and only in a couple of them did I encounter CVs. Of those CVs I've met, exactly 0 were actually good and doing useful stuff. It is really not that bad as you think.

I feel the same @Ferry_25 And taking a break is really the only advice I could give. You won't end up sitting staring out of the window. Something else will soak up your time. As for the social connections: just stay in touch with those who will still be your friends even when you stop gaming with each other.

Why didnt they keep the old cv reserves style where your squad was replenished but you had a set number of reserve planes? Where did the "unlimited" plane reserve come from? If they'd kept this it wouldn't have been an issue right now.

Exactly that. For example: Barcelona does not have 22 Messi's in their squad. A player in a Barcelona shirt does not mean he is of Messi's skilllevel. Same applies to wows: You can have a clan full of potatoes with 7 superunicums dragging them to Hurricane.

You would be surprised about the abysmal skilllevel of the average typhoon (and to some extent even hurricane) players.

.... So wows will not be a legendary game in 1400 years I can tell you that much. no but seriously, comparing a boardgame with a computer game doesn't make sense. But if you want a comparison, I'll try to give you one. Imagine counterstrike but one player per side has wall hack abilities. Sometimes you have a godlike player who, with the help of this aimbot, annihilates the enemy team. Sometimes you have a kid who has never played the game before who takes this ability for your team and ruins it for the entire team by not getting anything useful done. Insta loss. Both teams, except the really good player with lots of kills each game, find the game rather boring because they cannot get anything done. They have to focus completely on not getting killed by this one player. Balanced right? I mean, apart from skill both teams have the same instruments at their disposal. Yet it is this single player who can almost singlehandedly win every game. Except when he meets his equal or when his team is that bad that even with his best efforts they lose the game. Now the game developer acknowledges that this wall hack is too powerful and changes it to being able to spot enemies on the minimap. But this time it's two players per team who have this ability instead of one. More fun for all players right? Wrong. The "rest" will still function as cannonfodder to these few. Nothing really changed compared to the old system. The godlike players will still annihilate most of their foes and the noobs will still Insta lose matches for their team. Now back to wows: it has been just a couple of days and the world record damage for cvs has been broken how many times already? Give it some time and we will see the first 600k dmg game. Mark my words. "yeah but Garrus, it is still too soon and needs some testing and tweaking." well, they took their bloody time to come up with a rework in the first place. They have had three years to work on a rework and if this is the best they come up with, I'm sorry to say it but then you failed hard. Just get rid of the wall hacks. Just get rid of cvs. It will never work in the way wargaming wants it to work. I've never had so many boring random games in a row where both teams didn't even dare to leave their spawn. Most players seemed to think:"oh no! Spotted and shot at after 30 seconds, better turn away from the caps and head back." those who didn't turn away ate relentless hakuryu torps and died. Well, would you look at that. Two groups of ships on either side of the map sniping each other. Best meta ever. I've been playing this game since 2015. Experienced almost all changes and changes to the meta during that period but never have I been so disappointed by a patch. Almost every patch brought something good to the game. Small tweaks here and there. Except for this one. It has made my gaming experience a whole lot worse to say the least. It has decreased my interest in playing the game. Will I stop playing? No, because ive met too many cool people who I still like to play with and talk to.

To quote a reddit user, "In a game where the other three classes all rely on concealment, cover, and exploiting angles, trying to fit in a class that shits on all 3 of these is extremely difficult and probably not a good idea." This. A thousand times this. The game is so much fun when you can use your concealment and cover to exploit angles to surprise/outplay/hit the enemy. This is completely screwed over by CVs, both the old ones and the new. They can nerf, they can buff, they can tweak what they want, fact remains that concealment is of little use for cruisers, dds and bbs when there is constant plane spotting. Very sorry for all the peeps who love to play them, but i dont see them have any place in this game while at the same time being balanced in a "25% each - rock paper scissors"- kinda way. CVs will always be either over- or underpowered depending on how they implement them because they're so different.

Being able to launch planes that can travel at this speed and being able to launch them at this rate with no cooldown is just absurd. Im seriously curious of they even played their own game while coming up with something like this. Refresh my memory: What was the reasoning behind all of this? Decreasing the skill gap between cv players or reducing the influence on the outcome of the battle by one single class? Fail.

I hope it becomes boring very quickly for most players and that after a couple of weeks the cv population will be back to normal (read: zero) so we can all enjoy the game again without skyAIDS.

Yeah right, it's not about what you ask but the way you ask it. And it is not only beginners who can ask for help. Even experienced captains sometimes need some help or insights from fellow captains in order to become better. After some time on the forums it has become obvious that people who open threads with lots of capital letters screaming something is OP/broken/cheats or whatnot, will most likely not be open for constructive criticism. So they get the sarcastic, cinical and comical answers from the community.

BB divisions should be removed from game, exspecially when they come with 3 in a team, you cant do a crap about that amount of potatoness in your team no matter how hard you carry.

Game was lost with the enemy at 970 points and 1 v 4. But somehow managed to claw back on my own and made it a 1v1. Was going in for the solo warrior: Enemy montana with 28k hp and me with 11k. Was shooting him undetected with my radar in the storm but unfortunately he spotted me when he was at 4k and his salvo killed my hopes and dreams for solo warrior. :(:(:( Still a good feeling to create a possibility for a win out of a "lost game" with a lot of compliments from both friendlies and enemies.
