Cool story. Have you played DDs lately? They're a struggle to play, and became very situational. But most of all its just not fun dealing with a carrier.

@El2aZeR you played the unplayable! *sound of audience applauding*

@thunder3oo If it is so overpowered why don't you run their comp yourself? -

Range mod mino. Somehow the angle at which the shells land on the target makes them deal incredible damage. I've even citadelled bbs at max range with her. Obviously making the shells land is hard, but with some practice it is doable. Albeit that sometimes you have to lead you shots such an amount that you can't even see your target anymore when zoomed in. But stationary targets like bow in bbs are crying when they get hit for 6 or 7 k each few seconds by this pesky mino 18 km away. It's hilarious. -

Isn't it funny? "be in a clan with a reliable and non-thief commander"...... Sure, will do that. Because malicious people always have a big hat on saying "I AM A SCAMMER WATCH OUT!" Mark my words: if this is going live, then there are going to be numerous threads somewhere along the lines of 'I got robbed, mimimi, reeeeee'.

@Profilus expected a "RL bug" . Disappointed.

You think all people trading in World of Warcraft gold for instance are also playing the game? With this system you could become a WOWS trader. Buying resources and selling them with profit. Even if war gaming wants to prevent this, they can't. Accounts are already being bought/sold and this feature will create a market for people willing to pay for ingame resources. It may sound pessimistic but I can't see a way they implement this without it being prone to abuse.

I have decided to stop playing for WR and instead focus on having fun. Its not worth the stress or time to focus on battle outcomes!!!

Oh the victim card. Classic! "I cannot talk my way out of it so I'll make you look bad by saying you're bullying me." Funny that all those big bad bullies, or toxic elitists as you like to call them, are also the ones that help out people who come to this forum asking for advice politely. It's your patronizing and aggressive way of talking that made this a you against the world situation. Threat others with respect and you will be respected. Also works the other way around. -

No you did not. Show me. You did play divisions. And you did get a Lower winrate in them. You would if you could but you can't so you shan't. You are a liar and the evidence is there for everyone to see. -

How do you use a 4 km torpedo range DD ?

What @ollonborre said and to add to it: low tier maps are excellent for ambushing enemies due to the many islands. -

It shouldn't be too hard to put an option into the game that enables players to not be invited for clans and/or divs. But yeah, WG.

Dear WG: For the love of God please re-make in-battle UI with simple fix that can show _ALL_ detection icons ("Detected" / "Priority Target" / "Incoming Fire" / "Radar" / "Hydro" / "Plane Spotted" etc.) at once and not altering like it is now!

Texas. 18 knots of pain. I can go make some tea and be back right in time to see that the battle has already been decided in either team's favor.

I've read it but I'm unsure about the message you're trying to get across. Could be my poor reading skills... Are clans unfair? Are people who do not play clan battles yet are clan members being unfair towards the ones that do? I don't understand.

This is not always the case Admiral. Since we had contact recently after my departure from HOME, I will use my personal "situation" in this regard: I joined TTT because it is an established clan with a lot of skilled members, so there is always someone to play divisions with. I will enjoy all the benefits a clan from this size has to offer. Besides, a large clan can always field a CB team. Due to members not being interested in CBs anymore, in my previous clan we struggled to get a team together even with 30+ members. And your assumptions are not right: I'm not hoping to break into the main 7, I am hoping to play clanbattles with players from my own skilllevel and against players from my own skilllevel. The most important thing you did not mention is the social aspect of the game. I've been playing for almost three years and created many friendships along the way. I do not know anyone of your clan but I do know a lot of people in TTT. (Even before some ex-HOME members joined it). That made the choice quite easy for me.

What if I told you that we all had to go through stock ships with low level commanders and yet some of us did fine? And what if I told you that if youre so incredibly bothered by stock ships that you can play them in coop until they are not stock any more? And what if I told you that you can go back to lower tiers with an upgraded captain and full researched ships after you've grinded them? This thread is called "How does skill affect winrate" and let me get this straight: You blame stock ships and tier difference for the lower or higher winrate someone has? Holy moly.... Yeah this will get moderated for sure since it is an ad hominem thingy but Im sure that @Bear_Necessities is scared out of his wits.

You mean this? The bold part is the part where players that lack "knowledge, potential and execution" blame factors out of their reach for their losses. While in fact if they learned to recognise certain situations that are pretty standard in wows (such as recognising where the enemy is strong and weak and when you have to push and when to kite) they'd be improving a lot. My view on skill is: Being able to read the battle and predict what is going to happen in 1, 3 or even 5 minutes and act accordingly. F. E.: A 45% winrate player that pushes a flank that is clearly going to collapse against a superior force and inevitably dies. "**** team no support **** you all noobs!" A 65% winrate player that was initially pushing with the 45% player recognises he is on the weak flank rather quickly and after first contact starts to kite the enemy team. Game knowledge. Do I need to say more about game knowledge? We all had these situations with .... special players....ingame. Target selection You are about to ram a BB right after you shot your torps at a second target while youre guns are reloading to get a last second shot off at a third target, the stationary broadside cruiser at the other side of the map? Yeah, great chance your winrate is not below 50%. You are not shooting at a juicy broadside at 6 km but on that one destroyer that is causing havoc on your other flank pops up with only 1k hp at 14 km? Yeah, great chance your winrate is not below 50%. Positioning I've learned to position myself effectively in most of the ships I have played overtime. Effective positioning results in being able to deal damage for the most part of the match instead of meaningless sailing. By trial and error I created some 'golden rules' for myself for certain ships/situations which i try to obey. Things like: Stay near the caps. Do not push out into the open in squishy ships. Allright, may sound obvious but how many times do you see a minotaur play open water gunboat these days? This can all be learned but it takes effort and time. Aiming Some players can not aim for feces. Even after thousands of battles they cannot get it right. This is another aspect of skill. Being able to deal maximum damage with each of your shots means you will, over the course of hundreds of battles, be more effective at killing enemies than average Joe (Who needs a couple of salvos to get his aim right). These are the ones I could come up with just before going to sleep. There are a lot more. Good players learn from experience and combine all this experience to be as effective as possible, resulting in a higher winrate. ps. inb4 people mention RNG: Yes it is in the game and yes it screws/helps you in certain situations but everyone has the same RNG and over a lot of battles it is not a factor anymore. pps. inb4 people mention matchmaking: Yes it is in the game and yes it screws/helps you in certain situations but everyone has the same MM and over a lot of battles it is not a factor anymore. ppps. To these people I'd say: I beseech that thou proceed'st elsewhere to perform the act of fornication upon thyself. gn lads
