Ranks doesn't mean more skilled. And teams stacked with good players doesn't mean they work well as a team. Also although the chances are likely that rentals suck ****, they could just as well be veteran players playing their second account.

"you won't lose more than 10% AA until you're dead." how else should I interpret that? And yes, 100% is a lot. But still doesn't change the fact that your AA will never regenerate over time yet the CVs planes will. Thus you becoming less and less able to fight the attacks...

Maybe its lost in translation but no AA modules guarantees that 90% of your AA survives until you are dead.

I'd like to add to that: Every other ship in the game becomes weaker as the game progresses. They lose HP, turrets, launchers, etc. Etc. The cv loses nothing but auto-regenerating planes, so it becomes stronger in comparison to the surface ships. The longer a game lasts, the more beneficial this is to the carrier.

Maybe you can ask @ColonelPetefor help since his ships never seem to get touched by carriers.

So cvs are ought to do the most damage, do the most spotting, do the most cap defence, etc. Why should there even be other classes in the game. To serve as piñatas?

Ofcourse I'm vulnerable from the side but since my situational awareness is quite good I rarely get flanked and rekt. But there is no game knowledge or situational awareness or smart positioning that can safe you from airstrikes. So all the skills I've acquired over the years are useless in that sense and that feels very unrewarding. Same goes for different playstyles. Now you see people blobbing up and shooting from max range before the cv comes in to finish the job once everyones AA is murdered. If you think that is good gamedesign than I'm just going to stop the discussion right here and agree to disagree.

You have these kind of spots on pretty much every map.

I can be totally immune to those by using my active skills of being smart in this game. Using my detection range, my map knowledge, my armor, etc. Etc. Do cv players really feel they outplay an enemy if they HE rocket them? If they blap them with AP dive bombers? Even fish in a barrel have more options to dodge. WG didn't do a good job at all. They are just reluctant to admit their defeat.

Imagine a cv versus anything other than a cv 1v1. How immune is this cv to taking damage? Right. It is a pretty damn good thing to give people immunity against an enemy cv if they spec their ship completely to AA. Because they decrease their effectiveness to the other classes in the game.

Just picture yourself in third person: seated behind your pc, raging at some person you don't know somewhere in the world because they didn't play a game in the way you would have liked. It's actually pathetic and laughable behavior. For every time a bad player throws the win away with some dumb move, another one on the enemy team will secure that win for you in the next match.

Never before have I played such dull games as 7v7 with a carrier. Even before you're full speed your whole team has already been spotted and that one des Moines who was supposed to radar the cap has lost half its hit points due to some slingshotting hakuryu. If this is the future for competitive wows, then so be it. But I'm having fun according to spreadsheets so who am I to complain right?

*cough* potatoes in stalingrads who got carried to typhoon *cough* sorry had something in my throat. But I totally do not care if some potato gets carried by his friends to rank 1 to get all the goodies. Good for him. What I do mind is that I have to spend insane amounts of time carrying the worst of the worst of players in order for me to have those goodies. Is it selfish? Yes ofcourse. Do I find it fun? No I do not. Would it be more fun when you can play together with someone? Hell yes!
