From some guy on reddit who did some quick maths: "Some numbers for you all with this captain. -Kleber goes 61 knots with 2 million potential damage, and gets 7 salvos per MBRB with one dev strike. -Bourgogne with one devstrike has a 22.18s reload and goes 42 knots with 2 million potential- 44 knots with 3 million. Sub 20 second reload with two devstrikes, which means four salvos per MBRB -Republique with one devstrike has 17.7s reload. 12 second reload with 3 devstrikes. Nearly 40 knots with 3 million potential. -Henri with 2 million potential goes 48.2 knots."

When youre down 700-200 points, the enemies have you triple capped and all your ships are hiding in the back... its time for the carry pants! Early in the game but you can imagine how it went from there on: But luckily I was able to...ehm...."motivate" my team to atleast try and win. And ofcourse the enemies, probably in fear of "winning too hard", yoloed my blob one by one.

As a Worcester player I would advise you this: 1) DO NOT sit stationary. Floaty shells of worcester make hitting moving targets at range very hard. That doesnt mean sail in a straight line obviously. 2) Worcester needs cover, which means it can get flanked. Try to do so. Or BBs at range can lob shells over the island. Especially montana is very good at this. 3) Worcester doesnt have torps and weak armor. Rush it and blap it right back to port. 4) Open water gunboating worcester is, despite her being pretty manoeuvrable, very susceptible to incoming fire. If you ignore her she will melt you tho. 5) When under fire from a worcester and you will not get safe in the next minute or so, do not repair your fires. Due to high RoF + floaty shells you will get new ones after your dcp runs out. Oh and bonus tip:

You're right, you didn't say that. However, you are saying that you have a feeling that fiddling about with logging in and out or staying idle in port somehow influences matchmaking. That sounds absurd and just as you said "wargaming is a company". How would it be beneficial to them to spent resources on some kind of algorithm that does this? Ps. My tip. Don't run mm monitor because without it you feel way less pressured. I did run it for a few years but once I stopped the game became fun again.

Sorry should have quoted the right part. I was referring to logging in and out under the impression that it gives you better matchmaking. Nobody does that. And if they do: what kind of tinfoil hat would you have liked sir?

I don't know why but out of all tier 7 bbs that is my least favorite. Accuracy is meh and can't tank a lot since litteraly everyone can pen you no matter the angle. Scharn, Colorado, nagato and gneisenau work better for me.

Has almost 30k matches. Seems like wows is your life mate.

Tier 7 and 8 are kinda mehhhhhhhhhhh. Not really good at anything really.

Indeed, now we can visit tiers that are mostly ignored by the competitive players. Why not play tier 4, 5, 6 and 7? Great change of pace and generally a fun gamemode.

The higher the caliber of the guns the higher the alpha damage. Although killing of targets quicker has nothing to do with Alpha damage. If a target angles to your Fiji AP there isn't much you can do because all your shells will bounce. So if you want to kill things fast due to high rate of fire and good dpm I'd take the Atlanta.

..... Pot and kettle. You are defending your way of playing as well. All these ships have been carefully balanced in order to perform well for their respective tier. Making shooting from inside smoke weaker will significantly weaken these ships while strengthening yours. Biased much? What is not fair about it? They do not have the armor nor the heal to withstand your AP salvos. So this is their way to mitigate damage taken. But there is a way to deff from someone inside smoke: spotter plane > shoot in smoke. If you can't hit target in smoke: Turn away from smoke and increase distance. You're a bb, you will not die from a ship he spamming you from a inside smoke.
