  1. Jede Nation hat Blaupausenschiffe drinn, geht ja auch nicht anders oder die Bäume würden mittendrinn aufhören. Ob du nun die russischen BBs magst oder nicht wird kaum eine Rolle spielen, da sie bereits in der Entwicklung sind. Ich z.B. schaue dem ganzen gelassen entgegen und warte eher auf die Träger wobei ich zugeben muss das mir die Pasta Marine total am verlängerten Rücken vorbei geht. Nimms hin und warte bis der Baum auf den du so heiß wartest kommt und dann freu dich.

    Did i anywhere state my points were the only reason? Don´t think so but ok. Player population for CVs is what about 5-7% for those who play them regularly? That right there is a number to adress then again ok. What makes you so sure you hold the one and only truth with your statement? And just because you don´t like them now and maybe don´t like the new ones either what does this have to do with what the changes will be? Okay they don´t agree with you ... well bummer. Am i happy with all what they did? Hell no and i went through both test stages and statet so at multiple points were i had a chance for feedback. Did they ignore part of that feedback? Yes and i´m no happy about it but even that doesn´t change the fact that A) RTS CV was not played much and B) to more players the new version seems to be fun.

    A lot of players who are not CV mains (or at least play them to about 20-25% of the time either completely ignored CVs as a playable class for themselfs or were very bad at it. The influence a good CV has was to high and a major deciding factor in the endgame result. So they had to do something about it. Also in some places they asked the question and what many agreed on was, that the RTS style of CVs was just not for them and to far away from the "gun ships" style. WG wanted to make the class more popular and in general the regard of the style is positiv. (CV mains ofc dislike it a lot ... no wonder) but many players on the TST (i played both rounds a lot) did like the new style more. Lots lots of problems to fix with it? Obviously but in general a lot nicer and it also stomps out a few of the inherent problems the RTS version had. AA change is weird and feels buggy sometimes (and sectors suck true) but it needed to change to go along with the new style. (and at least the looks are gorgeous). The one true stinker is the denial of direct ship control with just a switch, the rest needs tuning and ajusting.

    Hm to be honest on the second point i somewhat agree thought not fully on the first. The new style is closer in line with the way surface ships work (yeah yeah planes and all that) but i don´t see it as poor, riddled with bugs and problems yes but not poor (unless you liked the rts version ofc.).

    So just because you dislike CVs they should be taken out despite being a major warship class since WW2 (which basically is the periode of most ships of T7 and up or in other words the full high tier). Also there are not that many CV players around true, doesn´t mean non CV players all dislike the class. There are quite a few that, while not playing CV themselfs prefer to have one around for what they provide (even when played bad). Taken them out due to dislike is even less of an argument then saying "they are crap right now ... fix it". And yes WoWs is more arcade based in its playstyle then a simulator. Also why the personal attack? Did i do anything to you? I just stated a point in regards to your argument. If you have to get personal on that ... well .. kinda weakens your whole line of argument.

    So many things well done with the rework just to throw it over board with the denial of ship control. It has been stated soooo many times that it´s needed and really the argument with controling only one thing doesn´t fly. When you helm a artie ship you don´t just put your guns into a reload cycle just to repair a fire/flooding or counter some damage. YOU JUST DON´T DO IT. So please don´t try to tell us we have to do that with the CVs. Just let AI take over the planes for those 10-20 seconds we need to deal with whatever it is atm and then give us back control over whatever may be left of our strike flight. It is a little degree of multitasking that is on exactly the same level as watching the map while sailing around, while looking for the enemy ... no more, no less. Come on don´t insult us like that.

    Why would you opt out of the most influential class of warship WW2 had. CVs completly changed the way naval warfare was fought with the attack on Pearl Harbour, so in a game called World of Warships they have to be included. If you don´t like them don´t play them and if you dislike having "birds" dropping all over your deck, well, that´s what AA guns and related upgrades/skills are for. Take the right ship and skipper and feast on the tears of the poor CV trying to attack you and watch him fail every attempt until he gives up and goes somewhere else. Be a player for your team and give some protection if you have it. It´s a good promoter for teamplay.

    Seems i have to refer to my post from the verry beginning of round 1. Fighters are still the most dumbed down version possible and no team support in detail is possible ... THIS IS NOT how an escort or fleet CV should work for their team. Same goes for theship controll ... or better said lack thereoff. Would you just give us back the old "press 1 and get ship controll" button back allready.
  12. So a bunch of CC´s entered the contested and in the end Jingles will be the new skipper. And on that point Jingles being mean and all that while himself being not the best. Ever listen to him? He says in *edited* other vid he makes "I am old and crap", it´s his style of commenting and somewhat deft sailor style of humor that makes him so great as a content maker (pure entertainment and historical knowledge and not hard gaming skills). He would hands down be the best skipper for a) a voice that doesn´t anoyed or pissed of half the time and b) just being a jolly fun chap. Flame has his point and i like his content for all the gameplay information it gives but from a fun and entertaining standpoint Jingles just wins.

    Hach wie herrlich lustig es ist zu lesen wie die BB fahrer wieder rumjammern. AP war buggy, ist buggy und wird wohl noch ne Weile buggy bleiben. Zumindest ist hiermit der erste bug auf DDs gefixxed. Multipen hits mit BB AP tun zwar auch Kreuzern und anderen BBs weh fallen dort aber weniger ins gewicht (ich nehm nun einfach mal die Verbesserung an und hoffe der andere Mist wird in der Zukunft behandelt). Was deine Munitionswahl betrifft SteelRaptor, schau auf die Karte, schau auf dein "spotted" Warnsignal und dann mach eine INTELLIENTE Auswahl im Bezug auf deine Munition. Das ist weder schwer noch eine Sache die nur "super unicums" beherschen. Ich finde es gut das BBs gezwungen werden Munition zu wechseln und der Situation anzupassen (zumindest wenn man ernsthaften Schaden austeilen will und nicht grad den Oberdeppeneimer Conquerer fährt). Beachte die Karte, achte auf den Verlauf des Spiel und dann entscheide was grad wichtiger ist. (DD mit nem HE volley plätten oder weiter DMG farmen ... und ja mir ist klar das das wieder nur ca 15% der Spieler gebacken kriegen bzw. überhaupt verstehen) Munitionswahl im bezug auf die Situation ist ein Spielerskill ... lernt und beherscht ihn und werdet besser.

    To all those saying that you like the current RTS mode of CV more, well sad to say (only for you though) this test is here to make this version go away. They said so in the dev. blog, the vid to it and multiple other posts. Please except it as going away and stop doing the "just fix the issues and it´s fine" comments ... it isn´t going to happen. So if you look for RTS there are a lot of game titles out there that delivere (way better to be honest) on RTS then WoWs ever did or could.

    Okay onwards with the first list of things. positiv (first the good stuff): - immersion feels way better then before (essentially now it is there at all) - AA fire looks just good (looks and feels like true AA gun fire of both small and large guns) - The Planes themselfs do look quite nice as well negatives (it´s a test after all): - strike fighter and dive bomber controlls feel verry sluggish (torp bombers are fine), prob due to more aiming by keyboard control then by mouse control - please, please bring back direct control of the ship (need to directly control speed, course, sec. armaments, manual AA if taken) CV without direct control of the ship is like just not having it or being an airbase on an island - choice between damage control and damage repair is not really a choice (i would rather have dmg con. + choice between deff AA and repair or just dmg con.) - non existing fighter control whatsoever (i would like for fighters to do a few things to make the ship feel more as a part of the team and not just playing for one self in a team game) - different choices on what the fighters are called to do: - when in empty area going for general circling (spotting, engaging enemy planes that show up there) for their timer - summon on friendly ship act like extra catapult fighter (circling that ship, escorting and defending it) for their timer - summon on enemy ship (spot until shot down or timer expires) - when summoned on enemy planes (fighter OR bombers), attacking those until target destroyed (then back to area defense) or themself being destroyed - AA fire from surface ships lack some response/control in how to set up the "defensive sector" (planes not targetable, no ui signs which side is focused) I think thats it for now. (will be either edited or nw post added to for additionel points that come up)
