New Year Gifts and Rewards: Your One-Stop Guide
Allied_Winter replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
After you payed for all three dubloon boosters, your building process has progressed far enough that you unlock the option to complete the build with dubloons for another 35k. To be fair though, even by just using the regular F2P grind you can get to this stage. -
Puerto Rico Grind - geht Wargaming zu weit? (Sammelthread)

Du brauchst die Direktiven um an die Booster zu kommen. Direktiven --> Schiffbaumarken --> Booster -

Thanks for a constructive thread (at least it appears to me like that). -
Santa's rng loot boxes worth it?
Allied_Winter replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
Continue to be sceptic. If you got money to spent AND want to spend it on WG/Warships, then rest assured it's a gamble. You can get lucky with 4 premium ships (that you want) out of 8 containers. Or you can get unlucky with no premiumships out of 40 containers. If you just want to gamble and don't mind anything you're getting, I'd say go for it. Your money, your choice. -

Allied_Winter replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunately I made the error of assuming my team would be of greater help. Nope. Your team had the caps and the points and the time .... The only redeeming thing about this match: 3 game in the Ryujo, first Kraken. It shall continue in that way -

Just met @MrWastee in his Sims while I was in my Ryujo trying to master the "Way of the El2aZeR". Unfortunately for him, CV's are good at hunting CV's. Unfortunately for my team, I couldn't carry them hard enough. -
Moved to the appropriate section.

Yes and no. The thing that goes alongside with torp speed is detection. Usually: Greater speed = easier detection. That's why Sims (and Black) torps are usually one of the stealthiest torpedos in the game. IF the enemy spots them it's mostly too late to dodge. On the other hand: The further you are away the more time the enemy has to change his course (either because you were spotted or simply because the enemy is a good player and changes his course randomly). That's worse on slow torps. Overall: I use the long range torps on the Sims as "Fire and Forget". I launch them, do my business in hunting DDs and going for caps, and by the time the torps run out I can launch the next set. And given their slow speed, if you use them as area denial torps, most enemies think that the torps have long past when they enter a channel where you've been spotted 30s earlier.

I'll try to give my view on it, but there's quite a bunch of mid tier ships I haven't played extensively (or at all) to form a sound opinion on them: T1: Irrelevant T2: Longjiang, V-25 T3: Bogatyr, Knjas Suworow T4: Orion, Shenyang, Gangut (or Hosho if you're into CV's) T5: Piotr Veliky, Furutaka, Emile Bertin, Kongo T6: Ismail, Normandie, Budyonny, Dallas T7: Sinop, Myoko, Shiratsuyu, Gadjah Mada T8: Amagi, Akizuki, Benson, Cleveland, Richelieu T9: Kitakaze, Yugumo, Iowa, Fletcher, Sowjetski Soyuz, Mogador, T10: Des Moines, Worcester, Kremlin, Yamato, Daring, Kleber If you want I can give my opinion on premium ships as well.

Good morning folks, on the first page somebody was so kind to post the existing threads on this very topic. Please use these for further discussion and not open up new threads on the very same topic. Thanks, and have a great weekend. Thread closed
