Something about CC and dev blog changes on reddit given to CCs
Allied_Winter replied to howardxu_23's topic in General Discussion
Oh I'm sure they have. But: That option - as much as even I would've liked that - was not on the table. So it was either accept the T6 Guinio Bruto or live with unnerfable, busted premiums. The community was pretty clear about which of these two they wanted. Which brings us back to the testing process: Is it flawless? No. Is it bad? No. Imho it's good enough for the circumstances. -

The problem is: You can not do all balancing on any test servers. The data that's accumulated on the PTS isn't nearly enough to get a stable sample size to balance off from. It would be different if WG would nerf premiums once they hit live, but the community successfully 'reeeeed' enough about that. Talking about WG not listening to the community. -
Getting premium Moskwa, how far would you go to get it?
Allied_Winter replied to Dongi_2018's topic in General Discussion
Doubt that. 0.9.3 Developer Bulletin just came out and mentioned NOTHING about the RU cruiser split. So ... 0.9.4 is our best bet. -

With the right camo/signal choice you can grind pretty quickly through the lines. I recently reset the RU cruiser line and after announcing that the split will come I FXP'd my way to the Kirov (stock). From there on it was: 8 games to the Budyonny, 19 games from the Budyonny (stock) to the Shchors, and a further 21 games from the Shchors to the Chappayev. So in total ... 120 to 140 games and you're at the Moskva? I'd suggest: Grind the line as far as you come and then you can decide a few days before the split happens if you want to invest FXP or not. -
Not really. It's mostly RNG. I've head games in the Kitakaze where I had only 3 or 4 fires and other games where I had 15 to 20 fires. Don't base RNG related entities (like fire) on one game!

True true. My personal wishes from the game and what's good for the longevity of the game aren't necessarilly always aligned. -

Interesting. Never thought about that question before. Personally I'd say: You play the game because you want to play the game. The moment you do it because you're in it for the reward it becomes difficult. That being said: Personally I don't enjoy Ranked and could see myself play it only when WG changes something (although I couldn't even say what to change) OR they ramp up the rewards BIG TIME. Like ... brand spanking new OP ship for getting to R1. Same with the PR event: Aside from the botched communication it was just the lack of a proper main reward that kept me from trying to get anything more out of it than the Gorizia (which I managed to get without spending money). If the reward would've been proper, I wouldn't objected to spend money on a faster progress. -

Not according to the information we have access to. RU server seems to tank a bit, but other than that? Fair enough. It's personal taste. While I don't buy as many ships as I used to (simply for the fact, that I can not play more which renders any new ship useless), I'd be even less happy in terms of new content with maps (one map's almost as good as another), operations (don't play them so I don't care whether WG adds more or not - though I can see why players are engaged in these), or new events. Or ... well ... not necessarilly "unhappy" but just a general feeling of "MEH" regarding those as I get way less out of a new map/operation/event compared to new ships. Thanks for clarifying But ... isn't that also subjective? On my second account I literally did nothing for P2R as I didn't log onto that account over Christmas, still I got some nice rewards out of it after the event was over. So for an F2P account that completely ignored the event, that'd be what I - as somebody who has a boat load of stuff on his account - would be very happy if I had recieved that as a new/F2P player. -

So just to make sure we're all on the same page here: Even if the communication wouldn't have been as botched as they were, you think that the mechanics of the points being gathered 24/7, this gathering could be improved by free and buyable boosters and that you got rewards on the way for completing stages is still terrible? I don't repeat that to mock you, just repeating what I think is your point so I can understand it better! -

Why should they? You don't break any forum rules. It's just like the Dude says: "It's just ... your opinion." I assume you mean more stuff like GNB and less like the events that come with each line release? Would be curious to know what attracts more players. Veterans are probably drawn in to new game modes and maps (as they mostly have all - or at least quite a lot - ships). But for your average Joe? I simply assume that new ships is THE main content to draw in new players and keep the average Joe around. Personally? I could live with 1 or 2 maps each year in terms of new maps. Ships are enough of new content (but that's purely my subjective view on things). The only time when this advantage comes to play is when you quickly have to transition turrets from starboard to port (or the other way round). How OFTEN that's the case is debatable. So far I see this as a nice QoL addition but nothing majorly broken/OP, as good players know when to turn their turrets in a safe manner anyway. Basically this will help the average Joe wherease above average players gain very little out of that (apart from the aforementioned QoL). -

Not only that: It also leads to the confusion that different CC's have videos out for different states of an upcoming WIP ship. Which makes it even more confusing for the playerbase to not only keep track of the changes that are made to a ship prior to release but also to keep track which iteration what CC currently shows in his/her video. -
Followed LWM's advice and dropped IFHE on Massa. Currently running: FP, AFT and ManSec.

Question: What should WG do though? Write everyone (!) that brought up some form of feedback a nice letter explaining èn detail why they opted against the feedback? That's a bit impossible if you ask me. In an environment where everybody knows about the status of a project that might work (e.g. my boss telling me why he opted aginst my feedback), but here? Where so much half baked knowledge is around? Where so many players look no further than their own interest? I can understand WG, that they let it slide and simply "do as WG pleases". I'll continue to give feedback. Sometimes WG can live with that and change the game according to my feedback. Sometimes WG "ignores" it. As in: Took it into account, weighed off the pros and cons of my feedback and opted against that. Basically normal decision making process. This process can not go on without somebody getting the short end of the stick. In our case, the community that feels as if their feedback is not taken seriously, while maybe not taking into account that it has been taken seriously, but WG just opted against it (as other arguments weighed heavier). In the end, sometimes feedback from the community makes it "through" (e.g. some mods that made it to vanilla or the rejection to nerf premium ships), sometimes it doesn't go "through". Some of the stuff that goes through annoys some folks of the community while it doesn't annoy others. And the same is true for stuff that doesn't go through. -
100% all the campagines, has anyone else completed them all?
Allied_Winter replied to The_Shungite_Wizard's topic in General Discussion
Got the final reward of each campaign. But didn't complete them to 100% (no need for me). -

Yes. Take the high road. Always! Have a nice day.

One post had to be edited, one removed. I know it's infuriating to wait for the game to be fixed, but please when communicating stay civil. Thanks.

Forcing people to interact with what's coming. Given how little the majority of the playerbase reads up about what's happening in the game. I assume that any free respec isn't gathering the attention towards why the respec was introduced in the first place. Did I defend it? I'm just here shrugging. WG could've done either way. From forced drop to free respec to button free respec (what they did) to no free respec at all. All I stated was pointing out that in the end it's on the individual player to either catch up with the news or not. The rest was just my personal opinion on why I'm not bothered by it. I can't (or rather won't) change WG.
