Whats the deal with Steven Seagal as commander?

Wasn't there a movie with Nicolas Cage aboard the USS Indianapolis? Who wants him as a captain? Comes with a special voice over Greetings -
Suggestion (not a whine): Add a warning to British cruisers
Allied_Winter replied to Artech52's topic in General Discussion
I asked sth similar on the weekly QnA on reddit. Display each line (be it cruisers or sth else) with a marker to show lines that are more beginner friendly and those that are not. Ofc you can display much more with such markers and they should act more as a soft cap rather than a hard cap (as some on reddit demanded). Greetings -
Öffentlicher Test des Clan-Systems
Allied_Winter replied to dies_ari's topic in News und Ankündigungen
Greetings -
So far 7 games (three wins, four losses) As BB: one win in a three ship division = win, one lone rounds lost As DD: one win and one loss (both single player) As CL: one win and two losses (all single player) Quite interesting game mode, and I'm sure once this is up for a few days, players will get better. But it sure helps to read, which ships can set fires (= Steampunk St. Louis) and which not (=rest)! Greetings

Yeah, let's go full PzIIJ on the Belfast and remove all weakspots Greetings

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Met T0byJug ins his Bayern. Unfortunately for him, on the enemy team. Unfortunately for me, my Belfast was busy burning other things down than him Greetings -
Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Allied_Winter replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Hmmmm...the fact that the Type 92 Torpedos are listed seperately for Isokaze/Minekaze on one side and the Premium T5 IJN DDs (Kamikaze/Fujin) on the other side, let me believe that once the Type 92s will be removed, this will only count for the silver DDs. SOURCE Greetings -
Same here, wanted to write at the support about intentional Team Damage (was a pinky that attacked me and got sunk due to mirror DMG) and got a message that sounded similar, so I refrained. I try to reconstruct my clicks for WG to see where either WoT is mentioned or where it is stated that TK/TD is done automatically. Edit: Either I misinterpreted sth or you changed sth in the meantime, because my ticket creation went on without problems and without any misleading information. Greetings

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Allied_Winter replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Well that's what I get to here everytime I bring up the positive aspects of the boxes (in a different forum): Three daily missions can be done within 3 or 4 battles whereas for the same number of boxes (which as we now find out more and more is not an ideal comparison) you need to play just a large number of battles. Thankfully I could refute the point about getting something you don't want (a BB only player doesn't need smoke e.g.), by the choices the standard crates give you. If you want to go safe, go for credits. And the reddit post that gathers all occuring loot from the PTS works quite well against the daily missions (Port slots, hello , never had a daily mission that gave me port slots) It's just that in this (rather constructed) argumentation there's a valid point. This point is small though and probably only affects a small amount of the playerbase, but it is there. Greetings -
NO! Just read the last patch notes. It was changed from - repair costs vary on how much DMG you took over to: - fixed maintainence cost, that is equal no matter how much damage you take. This fixed cost is however less than a full repair! Greetings

Allied_Winter replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
As true as this is, this is only relevant to players that play daily. For someone that plays only every 3rd day, this argument is not that usefull. @LilJumpa: And I like to play the devils advocate Greetings -

Allied_Winter replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
@LilJumpa: If the boxes (or better a single box) surpases the daily missions in amount and/or usefullness for the player (which seems to be the case) than I don't mind that I'll probably get only one box regularly, two on a good day/evening and three on special weekends. As for the probabilities: On reddit some players try to keep track of all loot that came out of the different boxes (LINK). So far looks good. Greetings -

Allied_Winter replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Sure i like it more with the boxes (just memeing the devils advocate here). I just claimed the standard argument from some of my fellow players (all at average to slightly above) and they are not so happy with the boxes as they calculate compare 3 daily missions vs. 1 or max. 2 boxes since they only play 3 or 4 games every second or third day. For a player that plays roughly 10 to 15 battles in 7 days, the boxes are a step back, even with the opportunity to choose something they need. For the rest (and with the lottery attached to the 4th box type) the boxes seem to be a more rewarding feature than the daily missions. We mustn't forget that a huge part of the community isn't organized in the forums and is the typical casual player: Got an hour of free time, jumps in one or two different ships for one or two battles. On the other hand, if they are really that casual, they don't care about daily missions either (and maybe find the lottery box appealing). Edit: Ha! I just got reminded on the lottery system of NfS Most Wanted... old times, old times Greetings -

But we have the same problem today: If one wants this daily mission where he has to shoot down 20 aircraft and he's on a BB grind but also has a Langley he needs to switch over to the CV for optimal results. Ofc, with the daily missions it was possible to finish all three of them within 3 - 6 games (provided you have the requiered ships and skills), now 3 - 6 games will bring you to the 2nd box (if you're lucky). About the horizontal turret angles of the Mogami: Is it a bug or was it intentional that the angle buff only affects the 203mm turrets and NOT the 155mm ones? Have a look a Takeds post on reddit for background: Greetings
-

Allied_Winter replied to Sehales's topic in News und Ankündigungen
QUELLE Greetings -
From the World of Warships podcast with two NA CC/CMs: NA should be looking pretty forward for Halloween, because it's going to be a lot of fun... so, as said (here and in the GER forum): We know there will be something coming up (hopefully not only for NA), and while I understand that the hands of most CMs are tied (If your supervisor want's you to keep your mouth shushed, you can't tell the customer anything, even if said customer demands to), this piece of Information could be enough to ease the tension a bit. SOURCE Greetings

Only viable ships for this skill would be high tier DDs. I use it on my Fubuki in ranked, as did most Bensons (Ranked) or Tashkents (Random) I met. For cruisers and BBs this skill gives not enough HP to counter the large chunk of HP a citadel from an enemy cruiser or BB can deal to you! Greetings

And someone who plays only 3 battles a day, probably has a hard time achieving said mission, but 2k XP should be doable. Greetings -

Der Event-Kalender für den Oktober
Allied_Winter replied to Sehales's topic in News und Ankündigungen
Greetings -
There are currently no ARP Missions running, but if, they can be found in the Missions/Challenges tab. When/If new ones are coming can only be speculated. Greetings

Sorry for some miscommunication. I did indeed refer to a possible Halloween event (which is not included in the linked list). So the 'salt' or my righteous wrath would go this way. I know that you wan't to keep the suspense up for some things/events, but in the past the information regarding such events came up on a quite short notice (Iirc Halloween 2015 started on the 20th and we were informed about it on the 19th). While it is nice to get a surprise, it can leave behind some players that are not that active on the forums and the portal (that apparently is getting fewer clicks than before). So build up tense with a note about some upcoming things and let the tension build up (allthough that one backfired at the GNB...). BUT: As long as you announce such things in a timly manner (about 14 days in advance), I'll take everything back. Greetings
