Even though I'm not a CV player (I suck at RTS) I know a good (and much needed) guide if I see one! Great Job! Looking forward to the remaining chapters. Greetings

Wow! Eine Dsikussion über F2P, erspielbare Inhalte und Co ohne Geschrei sondern mit toll konstruierten Argumenten? Kudos! Und danke Leute! Greetings

That's curageous! I'd opt for CE as the first level 4 skill on (almost) any ship. Greetings

So 155mm Mogami CAN Use The C Hull Now?
Allied_Winter replied to The_Finnster's topic in General Discussion
Exactly what I did yesterday. Parked my Mogami behind some rocks on land of fire, have the luck that the enemy team pushes into C one ship at a time, rack up (only) 100k DMG... Greetings -
Greetings

So 155mm Mogami CAN Use The C Hull Now?
Allied_Winter replied to The_Finnster's topic in General Discussion
Yup! Have the 155 Mogami with Premium camo (so quite a few battles under my belt). I did go for the C-hull instantely after 0.6.3 Greetings -
Greetings

Every proximity spotting (and even radar/hydro) works through islands. Only deciding factor is the distance. Greetings
-
As soon as a enemy is closer than 2km to your ship, you'll be proximity spotted. This proximity spotting range can be increased through upgrades up to 3km. So if you sat in smoke, enemy is 2km (3km with upgrade) away from you, you see him, he sees you. Greetings

Well... As long as a forumite shows that he's capable of reading and understanding what we write to improve his gaming he deservers no BB Bingo Card. Full stop! If you think he deservers the card judging only by his first post, than you're part of the problem! Yeah I know the whine posts outnumber the honest 'I-want-to-become-better' posts by quite a margin, but does that justify to flak every new upcoming thread with that card? The problem lies with all players (regardless of the class) that don't want to learn. Either because they do think they are the best, or the simply don't care. You can't teach these type of players anything! No matter how many tutorials WG puts into the game! Those players that show up in the forums, show at least a little bit of interest in getting better. And those that even understand that they were doing something wrong, shouldn't be presented a card that shows how fed up some here in the forums are with those unteachable players that usually don't care about getting better. And personally I don't care if a player hasn't mastered some of the basics at T10. If he comes to the forums and can be convinced to improve his game, than so what? We all benefit from it. Greetings

True! Sorry for that. I still think that the bingo is not suitable for the first 5 pages of any BB whine thread (which this - given OPs attitude - apparently isn't). Greetings

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Allied_Winter replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
I met Xevious_Red (in his Tirpitz) while trying out the new 12km torps. His Top Tier BBs where hiding behind an island and left him out hanging! Brought me the chance however to (almost) double kill two full HP Yamatos Greetings -
Well that's debatable! Sure his first post was ... a bit off ... but instead of throwing the Bingo card around you could at least glanced a bit into this topic. I know that there were lots of BB whine threads and I despise whine threads as much as anybody else, but dismissing every player instantely with 'The Bingo Card' is also not a good style. Greetings

6.4 won't start due to kernel32.dll error
Allied_Winter replied to Ranyxx's topic in General Discussion
You might wanna check out this post on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/comments/6513vc/so_i_guess_this_is_goodbyefor_now/ I don't know where but it was stated, that this discountinued support is a hard cut, meaning, that - as you experienced - won't be able to start Warships with the mentioned OS. Greetings -

Sub-Octavian talks with NoZoup about Balance, Power Creep and Premiums
Allied_Winter replied to iEarlGrey's topic in General Discussion
Iirc while NA has a similar BB meta it's more centered around USN BBs (patrotic much), hence why Notser with his 203 IFHE build got a bit less flak from NA since it can be viable when you encounter lots and lots of USN BBs on long ranges. Greetings -

Allied_Winter replied to iEarlGrey's topic in General Discussion
Well... but doing so it often results in a loss, since carrying a team that doesn't know teamplay is ... hard. Of course there are other standard battles and (esp. as a DD) the longer you survive in a DD or stealthy cruiser, the higher are your chances of winning. I simply play for a win and thats easier in Domination. In Standard I have to have the right ship on the right map with the right (passive) team. If I enter a battle on the premise to solo play (basically a 1 v 23), then why play a MMO in the first place? Greetings -

Allied_Winter replied to iEarlGrey's topic in General Discussion
Which can be ok. I don't mind battles that are 20 min of intense batteling around one cap (don't matter if standard or domination), but most (high tier) standard battles I encountered so far usually result in a 15 min campfest, where both (!) parties just sit in spawn and try to snipe each other. And that's boring af. Than I'd rather have 10 8-Minute domination battles instead of boring camping standard battles. Greetings -

Allied_Winter replied to iEarlGrey's topic in General Discussion
Most important thing I think was all the info about standard battles! - That there is quite a large amount of players out there that likes standard (iirc WG said quite some time ago that this was the RU server) - That the devs (or people within WG) mostly don't enjoy Standard - Standard battle works better if the bases are close together - some maps will be tweaked to loose standard battle but it won't be move entirely since the devs then expect a crapstorm greater than with RPF Greetings -
Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Allied_Winter replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
The thing is, moste criticism on reddit was voiced in a rather toxic way. I had my fair share of discussions with SO and while we didn't agree on everything, it remaind always civil. But recently many whine threads were opened, tagging SO and blaming him directly for being responsible for any change WG made. And then I can understand why he thinks his free time can be spent in a more relaxing way than dealing with overwhelming unnecessary toxicity on reddit. Greetings -
Especially since newer players haven't been used to the 68 friggin kts torpedos on low tier DDs. Greetings

On top of that a dedicated server for each class. So EU - GER - BB server accompanied by EU - GER - DD, EU - GER - CA and EU - GER - CV. So if you want to switch classes you have to switch servers. Comfy isn't it Greetings

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Allied_Winter replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes I have the feeling that some players still didn't understand that smokes are torpedo magnets. It was a horrid game in my Shimakaze and we're about to loose when this happens: So let's see who doesn't pay attention: At least two guys didn't. But wait, there's more: Sometimes the stars align...
