  1. No they're not. Aaaaand no. If a ship is spotted and behind an island it can be hit. Given the fact, that your ship can shoot over said island. It requieres a bit of training though. I also assume (!) that the X-Ray mod works (at least in theory) a bit like the solution in WoT. Greetings
Grretings
  3. Question about this X-Ray mod: Shoouldn't this work only on spotted ships? Given the way the game works, I assume so. Greetings
Inseln befinden (vgl. World of Tanks). 6. Maybe give Mogami, Hipper and New Orleans one charge of heal. With SI it becomes +1 and if you use premium consumables it gets another +1. So three in total compared to T9+ 4 charges. Greetings
  7. Yeah I gladly take +5k HP more for my Zao Make Zao Great Again! #ZaoWith50kHP Don't know about the Des Moines, but I'm quite comfortable with the Balti's stealth and turret traverse. Maybe (just maybe) give her a bit more speed, but other than that... I don't know. Greetings

CVs everywhere ruining the game experience - when removed?

Can confirm, while I myself 'came for the BBs but stayed for the cruisers' that's not necessarily true for everybody. Just yesterday a player on reddit introduced himself as a new player and that he loves the KM and IJN BBs ... One can only advocate for so much that new players should go wide rather than deep in the tech tree. Greetings
  9. OOHHH Yes! 12 Guns in six turrets! As far as I know though, the didn't have any autoloader like the DM so I assume the reload would be around <6s. Greetings
  10. I assume it's meant, that a line split doesn't attract new players. Someone who has little interest in IJN DDs doesn't care if there's now a few additional ships in that line. Thus the devs concentrate on bringing out new lines/nations and put all discussed line splits (apart from the USN cruisers) on hold. Greetings
  11. Not necessarilly. I got a nice cabinet filled with great Georgian Grappa (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chacha_(brandy)) and a few selected Scotch Single Malts. And yeah the occasional bottle of vodka among it Greetings
  12. Ahem.. than I'm part of the 10% ... at least on EU.... Greetings

  14. Hello fellow captains! LittleWhiteMouse from the NA server conducted extensive research to find out the theoretical basis of the detonation mechanic in game. All credit belongs to LittleWhiteMouse, so if you have a NA account, drop by there and share a +1 or something usefull in the ongoing discussion. I know the topic detonation runs hot in this community, but I hope we can keep our cool! This is not about why detonations are in the game at all, but the mechanics that are behind it. There you go: Source: http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/125532-fun-and-engaging-science-part-one/#topmost Greetings

Fire Chance, 203mm's, IJN and me

Hmmm maybe my wording then was a bit off, since what you said, was what I meant by saying, 'you'll get those high fire games later'. Maybe I should work in my statiscital english a bit more... Greetings

CVs everywhere ruining the game experience - when removed?

As a great example for that: A few days ago I (Amagi) was with a Tirpitz and a Belfast (or Fiji), the DD ahead of us capped and smoked. The enemy Shokaku tried to attack us. We were all within 3 or 4 km so while one torpedo managed to go through and hit me (belt) the Shokakau lost all TBs and most of her DBs to us. It was the last time I saw the CV in that game, he attacked other targets. Greetings

Fire Chance, 203mm's, IJN and me

How so? If let's assume a ship has a 10% fire chance overall. And I do 100 games where I managed to get only 2 fires per 200 hits. That'd be a 1% fire chance. BUT: The ship has a total fire chance of 10% meaning that these 100 games are on the low end of deviation. Sure it could take me another 200 games (or even more) before I see the other end of the deviation (with 20+%). Basically what the 10% means is, that over an infinite amount of games I get a fire chance of 1 fire per 10 shots (with that gun). If I currently get less of that, that means I'm on the 'wrong' end of the deviation and over time this may change. Greetings

Fire Chance, 203mm's, IJN and me

Apart from using ingame modifiers (Demo Expert, sometims Signals), no. The main thing needed is daka daka at the enemy. Sure I also have games where I start very little fires or even none. On the other hand I have my Kutuzov/Zao games where I start 12+ fires (iirc my record was 22 fires in one battle). Greetings

Fire Chance, 203mm's, IJN and me

The wonders of statistics. The play out right but only over a large amount of samples. So if you'd play 1000 battles in the Atago you can be sure to have the shown (or modified) fire chance. Theoretically the more 'low fire' games you have now, the more should come later. Greetings

Fire Chance, 203mm's, IJN and me

The underlying problem in Warships is, that if you throw enough feces on the wall some of it may stick. I'm an avid IJN cruiser player but only have the poor mans Atago (Takao). I like their fire chance, as I gives me (at least) a few fires per game. BUT due to the low RoF I'll always set less fire per game as in the Kutuzov. The time it takes the Atago to do two salvos the Kutuzov managed three (and also fires more shells). Sure this all could be confirmation bias, but even Flamu acknowledges that the Des Moines is the better fire starter (given you hit targets with the super lazy USN shells). While it may be easier with the Zao to hit stuff, once you hit, you're in the hands of RNG. And RNG favours those that throw the dice often enough. Greetings

Jingles has quit the EU WG CC Program

In regards to premiums: PointyHairedJedi made up a video about a few premium vehicles in Tanks and Ships, and talks about different aspects of OP premiums and balancing. Greetings

    Notser - Gameplay Videos vorbei?

Du meinst was die Premiumbalance angeht?

Greetings
