    Dunkirk Mission Cheat Sheet

@Tuccy I just finished the second mission-chain and even after logging out and back in and then waiting half an hour, I did not get the 2k doubloons yet. Is that a case for customer support or do I need to wait a bit more?

WG EU, this is getting ridiculous...

How about repeating one of the others for now? I think in some of those stages I farmed only 2 missions repeatedly. You can do that. You just don't get the reward (credits, signals, etc.) but you get another pip.

Well, things are still going... And no word from anyone in power, heh.

WG EU, this is getting ridiculous...

Everything has been said... - Stop promoting bad gameplay - Stop making success or failure depend on RNG (like the kill 20 of each nation for Nachi, Russian kills were a pain) - Use the missions to promote more than just Damage/Kills. Spotting, Tanking, Capping, heck, add smoke covering to your mechanics

    German destroyers - tactics experience

I mean, was it ever properly stated what the "gimmick" of the German DD line was meant to be? Fast reload Torps aside, there seems very little speaking for them. I have only played myself up to the Tier VI, Gaede, but I just don't know. The 150mm guns are actually decent-ish, definitely better than the 128mm. But the raw DPS is just so painful. My problems: - I don't dare to go into a knifefight with an American or Russian DD because they have better DPS and my HE is the bad German HE variant - I don't dare to chase a Japanese DD because they can easily stealth back while I am in full bloom and exposed over half the map. - I can't drop torps unless an enemy is sailing towards me because the fireing range vs detection range makes it difficult to do something else - I can't disengage because I am too slow (plus the bloom, see above), and my defensive measure, smoke, has a shorter duration as well. So in short, the German DDs have a lot of Cons (which may be partially negated if all DDs get the massive bloom effect?) and very little Pros. My suggestions for a 'fix' at this point: (mind you, one or two would already help, not all of them) - Give German DDs a reduced bloom duration after fireing so they can disengage more easily (nation gimmick) - Boost either smoke cloud duration entirely or sonar reach for the upper tiers (only from what I read so far, no personal experience) - Up the DPS with faster-fireing guns - Increase the range at least on the 150mm guns - Give German DDs the normal HE shells I am honestly curious what the ideas were behind the design and I am also wondering how accurate the depiction is. Not to open a can of worms but I was under the impression that Atlantic-operating ships were 'better' than Pacific-operating ships (i.e. Germany and GB vs USA and Japan designs) so maybe someone can educate me on that (mis)conception as well.

Public Test 0.6.0 - Changes for Test 2

I used the video as an example for the general direction design choices are going. You see these statements more and more from the devs "just take skill X to do Y". No, no I do not want to be told by you that you changed certain stats just because a captain skill makes it even better and now I have to take that skill to bring the ship back up to par. And no, I do not have an Akizuki, but that does not make my statement less relevant.

Public Test 0.6.0 - Changes for Test 2

To add more insult to injury... Check out the latest Armada video featuring the Akizuki. Link: This video reflects exactly what is going wrong with the game right now: 1) Several times WG points out that "with commander skill x" it becomes awesome. That is poor design from the get-go. No ship should be designed with a skill in mind that is needed to make it relevant. Fully upgraded, yes, sporting certain skills, no. 2) They praise the invisi-fireing of this ship, yet deliberately removed that ability from the German DDs and justify the massive fireing bloom effect with "wanting to remove invisi-fireing".

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

No. You said it yourself, last 7 days. Yes, I played during the weekend of course. And I also played on wednesday and thursday, just not as long as on monday and tuesday. But I am quite glad people are concerned for my health. I got enough sleep, thanks for caring

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

So, just to rebuke this nonapology, strawman reason: My stats: http://wows-numbers.com/player/529888044,Tsume_Eiranis/ As you can see, average at best. If you scroll down, you will see that I earned the Graf Spee on monday the 9th. Why am I pointing this out? Because I finished the Santa's Convoy; with honours. I admit, I had monday, tuesday and today, friday, off. None the less, especially in regards to the last two weekly missions, I really wish WG EU would stop trying to sell us corporate PR Talk which is clearly a lie and false. Be candid, admit you screwed up and done. Because at this point we can just continue to assume you cut it in order to sell especially the Tirpitz Camo. A lot of EU players have the Tirpitz, so giving them a way to earn such a nice Missouri-earning camo (+100% Free XP) cuts into the profit margin. Anyway, this may seem like bragging but w/e, I really wanted to get this out since WG was feeding us with nonapologies and weak reasoning behind their decision to cut this mission in the first place. Mind you, WITHOUT explaining it from the start but just asuming/hoping that we would not notice the cut videos, the altered game client etc. and then feeding us THIS reason, followed directly by two weekly missions which are utterly ludicrous and offer pitiful rewards.

Public Test 0.6.0 - Changes for Test 2

Dear MrConway, While I can understand your reasoning regarding DD hunters, this is a nice theory but nothing more. As others pointed out, DDs have already quite a few threats and it will add no tactical layer, at least not for me. I will play under the assumption that everyone has this skill and will behave accordingly. I will do the bare minimum, no longer try and engage in risky flanking maneuvers because the chance of reward is diminished profoundly by the fact that my approach will be anticipated. You already changed DDs with the IJN split. Their torps have lost potency (range), German DDs have a bloom that is beyond ludicrous (and lasts too long as well), Russian DDs were never sneaky to begin with, so the point is moot for them, and American DDs have a very good all-round mix to get along. We have Radar and Sonar in the game, even on some chosen few BBs now. The population of said BBs is too high to begin with and a tool for cruisers to hunt DDs will not change that, on the contrary. Additionally, certain high-reward stealth cruiser builds will also be slammed (Mogami e.g.). Add to it the fact you want to up the potency of the HE shells (my Kutuzov and 155mm Mogami already devour DDs easily) and you have another threat coming to DDs. In that same regard, changing a ship (tier VIII IJN DD) and then saying "pick the skill up to bring it back" is a very, VERY poor design choice. No ship should be designed with the skills in mind and thusly "nerfed" pre-emptively to 'level' the performance. That is like reducing the range and upping the reload time on German BB secondaries now in hindsight and telling us to pick the secondary skills up to bring it back up to par. That's a very slippery slope. If you are so adamant about DD hunters needing RPF, split the tech trees according to ship classes. DD, CL, CA, BC, BB, CV, etc. Give each ship a corresponding tree, making specialisations even more apparent and possible. (and it forces the players to have more captains / level more captains, maybe with doubloons? *winkwinknudgenudge*) Lately it already feels like certain DD builds (i look at the IJN post-split and KM) were designed with the skills in mind. Especially the German DDs getting cruiser bloom after fireing DD guns is a kick in the gonads and the two with the 150mm don't even get cruiser ranges... the entire year of 2016 started well but sometime in spring your tweaks, patches, and adjustments slowly but surely dumbed the game down, killed a lot of player thinking and self-reliance, and it feels like you are adamant to continue this path.

Public Test 0.6.0 Feedback - New Skill System

Just a quick fyi, Octavian replied about RPF. Seems after PT2 they will adress it: https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/comments/5nc217/video_developer_diaries_2017_plans/dcaj2l2/

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Finished Stage 7 yesterday after unlocking the Graf Spee via the other mission. Kutuzov + GC camo + flag nets me the 500k even on defeat (only failed once so far). Plan to not only finish it but get all missions done just to show WG this "easier and more convenient" nonapology was nonsense. And I am an average player at best.

Public Test 0.6.0 Feedback - New Skill System

Welp, once I am done with the Santa Convoy this will be it for me for a long while until they get things together. If RPF makes it into the game, it will kill the last factor remaining on solo warriors, elusive DDs and flankers. A real pity.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Exactly this. While my previous post was to present a solution in general for this exact thing, the core issue obviously still needs to be adressed and solved.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

@Ph3lan, another idea/proposal: I am not sure if this will work or is even feasible but maybe this is worth a thought. As people pointed out, your conundrum most likely involves the fact that if you now simply activate the Santa Convoy, those who bought the premium camos will be upset in return. And rightly so. So, my idea would be the following: - Admit the error - Remove the camos from the store - Activate a special mission which can only be finished if you have the camos mounted on your 6 Tier VI ships, the Graf Spee and the Tirpitz (just play a single battle in each, over the course of a weekend) and hand them something out in compensation for their money purchase (Doubloons, Silver, whatever) - Activate Santa Convoy for everyone once previous mission is concluded - Put the camos back into the store AFTER the convoy Most importantly, COMMUNICATE these steps. (maybe, just maybe, bring the event calender back while you are at it, on the website, with less teasing and more clear information) This way everyone knows beforehand, those who paid actual money because they resigned to the fact they had to pay instead of play to get the goodies, will get a compensation and those who refuse to pay get the free stuff all the other servers get. And afterwards, like so many pointed out with the Kamikaze R, they can still buy them if they missed it. Anyway, just an idea I just stirred up discussing this with a friend and I wanted to share. I like this game, so I want to make sure things improve.
