It's nice for those who don't have these ships. As a collector i'll pass as i have them all, and i have no need for captains. I would love to get my hands on ships that are rare tho, Neustrashimy, Bourgogne, Flint, Stalingrad, AL ships. Heck, i'd pay doubloons for getting access to test ships. Not sure if i'd fork out Dubloons for rental ships, but for the average player, it's a way to test some of them.

Well, Mainz is a work-horse. Means, you have to work like a horse to make her work. DO NOT BUY!! And yeah, Tallinn is russian, thus better in every regard because russian.

Joystick? No. Mouse and KB is the way to go. Although, seeing as 95% of the player base use a steering wheel considering how they play... Seriously tho, mouse and KB. Joystick in flight sims and MWO.

If you lose your weapons, you become the weapon. ^^ Alternatively, turn your ships around and sail backwards towards the enemy, and let your secondaries do the work.

Iirc, bots din‘t have any captain skills (not 100% sure tho), no modules and no upgrades an their ships. They do however have very accurate aim, and they always know where you are and spot torps after you launch them.
