To be fair to WG, this does actually apply to a fairly large portion of the player base.
-
It was suspected to be a capitalist spy so WG send it to gulag.

Each ship has a set value of RPs starting with Tier 6. Once you played and won the first game in any ship you get the points. Then you grind the ship until you reach the next one. Rinse and repeat.

how to buy Loewenhardt iron cross camo ?
Jethro_Grey replied to Samyuel's topic in General Discussion
Why tho?? The camo might come sooner or later and be available in the camo tab for dubloons. Spending 40€ for a camo that costs less then 10 seems a bit overkill. -
I kinda liked the previous one, with the red/orange lighting. Reminded me of the end scene in Star Wars Attack of the Clones on Coruscant.

Good job WG, Smolensk costed you my money
Jethro_Grey replied to Bartleby74's topic in General Discussion
You have really no idea whatsoever about the marvels of ru naval engineering comrade. Each plane will have two Smolensks strapped under its wings. Torpedobombers do not drop torpedos, the drop submarines! Dive bombers drop Tsar bomb prototypes. And the secondaries of the CV are a balans-ed mix of 8 Slava and 12 Stalingrad guns per side. Of course, in order to balans it to its peers, the range of these secondaries has been reduced by 1km compared to the two surface ships. -
A possible solution to CV`s in CB`s
Jethro_Grey replied to ToxicWomble's topic in General Discussion
Well, CVs are here to stay no matter what? Blargh, fine. Then limit their action radius to the A an B lines for the northern spawn and the same for the southern team. Center is CV free, and whoever pushes in the enemy spawn is toast. Win-win. No need to thank me you're welcome! -

Jethro_Grey replied to Bartleby74's topic in General Discussion
Smokensk...yeah it's a broken piece of Bantha feces. But, do not worry! Once RU CVs are out, Smolensk, or any ship of the RU surface fantasy ship fleet, will be welcome sight. -
The heavy part in RN heavy cruisers refers to the guns, not the armor. Like in ALL heavy CA lines. As others already said, Albemarle is not a meta ship, don't use it in ranked. Ships of this line shine in randoms.

Gathering all available recources leads to nothing useful ?
Jethro_Grey replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
Yes, of course! I bought 4 premium ships in the last three weks alone, getting all of them for less money? Hell yeah. -
Gathering all available recources leads to nothing useful ?
Jethro_Grey replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
The issue is not that it wasn't expalined at the start, they did that. The issue is - for me at least - that this is actually a thing and the fact that WG is pretending that this kind of money grabbing scheme is fine. -
Yep. Which means, Russian players seem to be smarter then us EU players. Cause they decided to leave before the corpse starts dispensing rotting gases.

It's working as intended. You're supposed to spend money. WG is tossing you a bone, and you better be grateful for that. If you want some meat tho, you better be ready to spend some coin. I remember the olden times where you had to grind like crazy to get stuff. WG however made the transition to grinding like crazy and STILL being forced to fork out money. The only way to aquire enough tokens for the perma camo, is to spend money for crates that contain TECH TREE ships. WG put a lot of effort into this money grabbing scheme. And while it is a horrible and despicable way to monetize the game, it's not the worst part. The worst part is, WG actually in all seriousness acting like they doing the players a favour. This is despicable and admirable at the same time.- 51 replies

We'll get Transformer themed perma camos for Gearing (Bumblebee), Optimus Prime (Montana), Rumble (khaba) and Megatron (Kurfurst). Apparantly, the camos/ captains have transformer style voice overs, tho i can't say if it's the voices from the TV show/ movies or not as i'm not into Transformers. Get your wallets ready fellas! P.S. I wonder why Kurfurst gets the "evil" camo instead of the fantasy boat Kremlin. https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/one-shall-stand/

This would allow WG to crowbar CVs into the game. Ballons which drop AP burning balls of Iron.

So, i decided to try my luck with the AL crates as i really want the Roon psychopath captain. As mentioned in another thread, i bought three crates before and got Littorio once and Baltimore twice. Fine, whatever. Decided to give it another go and bought again three crates (one a couple of days ago which gave me Jean Bart - yay!) and two today which gave me...Jean Bart twice. I know it's RNG and "luck" and stuff, but c'mon! Getting the same captain over and over again is dumb! It's like buying three copies of the same movie. @MrConway @Crysantos could you pls check if there's a bug? Were there any reports of this happening in larger numbers? Or did i just rolled the **** price on the wheel of misfortune 2 times? Also, is there a way you can take two of these Jean Barts away and give me Roon and Enterprise instead? Pretty pls with Roons psychotic outburst of rage cherry on top!

Yep. So, did this whole "let's use random fonts" thing blow over or is it still going strong? I am running out of fonts i can use... -
When will Puerto Rico be available again?
Jethro_Grey replied to Warrior_16101991's topic in General Discussion
I guess that WG will wait quite a while before they introduce the Puerto Rico in the armory. A lot of people payed metric crap tons of money and WG might be afraid to p*ss them off. That being said, it'll come eventually, but since it's a TX ship, it won't be sold, so armory it is. -
Soviet greed programming stronk! Exchanging one Jean Bart for one Roon, and one Littorio for whatever S-R is! ^^

Russia is the "core" market for WG, even tho EU brings them more money. Remember that, regardless what happens on EU/NA, or much money they make here, RU will always have priority. In regards to that vid, i don't mind. Dasha isn't fluent in english and it costs money and effort to have the same vid in different languages.

I can't believe that there is a single person that thought that Slava was shelved for eternity. WG just did what they did with the RB, shelved it, waited for the crap storm to die down and then bring it back, although this time under the same name. #JustWGThings

Working as intended. I see. I understand that WG as a company has to monetize the game somehow. Without monetization, no game developement, no pay checks for the staff and no profits for the higer ups. And that's fine. But, and it's a big butt: You (as in WG ) could easily add the same check you use for checking if a premium ship is in port or not and roll the next one. It's basically a simple copy paste of a line of code. You have tons of AL captains with wave 3 in the pool to make this feasable, considering the pricing on a single crate. I don't get Roon in this box but JB? Fine, i buy another one and get Baltimore. And so on and so on. By the time i do recieve Roon a bought several rather expensive crates (2x the price of the german premium crates). As a result, i have several different captains and you (as in WG) received a significant portion of my disposable income. Which is a Win-Win, even if i have captains i didn't want. But at least i don't feel ripped-off. Now, you say it's working as intended that you can get the same captain OVER and OVER again. Where is my incentive to spend more money on these rather expensive crates to get that one specific captain? Why would i now, that i spend 50+€ on crates and got effectively only 3 captains out of it, spend even more money and risk getting the same captains AGAIN? So, working as intended means in this case, you can get lucky and get the captain you want in the first or second crate or NOT AT ALL, but you can throw even more money at us trying. Lootboxes are fine, but if there is no "fail safe" or any other means to prevent you from getting the same item multiple times, it's a rip-off scheme and goes from 'working as intended' to 'milking as intended'. The least WG could have done is having a max limit on how many captains you can get set to 2, considering the pricing of these crates. Anyways, well played.
