But that's what i do! I asked few months back CV mains, how to play correctly. But i dislike the new CVs so much, that i simply can't be arsed to put effort in. I only play CVs in randoms on stream, when I'm fed up by being shat on by other CVs, so i play one game, or if someone actually donates and thus forces me to play. And when i'm playing, i brute force my way to my target, ignoring AA blobs and only applying rudimentary flak dodging. I don't really care at which angle i approach my target, although i try to not drop torps from the front or rear...most of the time. I do however go for priority targets: DAS first, then CLs, then CAs, then BBs. And despite that, i stll do good in CVs. If i'd play the same careless/ skill less way in any other ship, i'd have bot level stats in them. So yeah, i did my testing already.

CVs as a class are broken, and as balanced now, require no skill whatsoever to do well or to ruin your game, no matter what you do. Every other class requires some skill to do well in. CVs allow players to get away with almost everything unlike other classes. My comment about them is correct. I will however agree that there is a difference between a bad and a good CV player. And my comment refers to the fact, that even a bad player in a CV can ruin your day. There is no skill required for AA, because AA is useless unless you blob up, which in itself is a stupid tactic. The only times AA, becomes somewhat relevant is, when you blob up or when you face a CV 2 tiers lower and have decent-ish AA on your ship to begin with. In regards to your remark about CV hate and...stup...endously off the mark remarks: Funny, i think the same about people who defend this CV class and fail to admit that it is broken.

Actually, pressing said key in the right moment is crucial. CVs on the other hand, are the no-skill crap.

Yep. I understand that people want certain ships (so do i), but they do not consider the issues that implementing them brings. And BB/ CV hybrids is the last thing this game needs. This game is getting dumber by the hour, but that's fine, cause so is the majority of the player base. So it kinda fits.

Bought it, and played it (in COOP). If you like long-range US DD shell arcs, you'll feel at home with this boat. Fought a bot Munchen at 12 km, and the fight felt like two blind dudes, flinging tennis balls at each other. The DPM is fine, HE pen is ok, AP at close range is filthy. Concealment is great. It has Nurnberg/ Konigsberg levels of armor protection (hahaha), an Odin DEV striked me despite being very steeply angled. The only thing this boat could use is a smoke screen. I like it, it's a decent-ish ship considering it's a german premium. And once i got used to it, i'm gonna use it in randoms to fail div and to farm TX. Addendum: you WILL need a DD to smoke you up tho, or a portable island as cover. Without those, it's just your average german ship, i.e. bad.

Wait what? People struggle to play decent-ish on maps they played hundreds of times on, where they should know every or almost every island. Heck, they struggle with the ocean map... Adding maps that change on a per-game basis will most likely freak them out. Personally, I'd love new maps, way more then I'd like new ships. But I doubt WG will put effort in something they won't be able to control, I.e. procedurally generated maps. Besides, they can't sell maps, unlike ships. Since the game is server-client based, there are significant technical difficulties, that might prevent them from doing it, even if they would be interested.

Yeah. Also, if you think it's OP now, wait until the new captain skills go live. There is one skill, that only buffs Smolensk (and maybe Colbert but to a lesser extent). And, at WGs HQ someone is smiling and whispering "...you're welcome!".

Not even talking about CVs here. Only time i had enemy CVs, they were on the enemy tier 8 team, which was actually full of bots (WG bots, not human bots). I never was under attack from them. I was refering to the game mode as a whole. One opportunity for WG to create something great and of course, they screw it up. -

Played a bunch of these battles, both in TVI and TXIII, and i can say that i am really impressed how crap this mode is. This mode is ranked amounts of crap, multiplied with the CV rework several times. Basically, a huge pile of s**t. -

Asking WG to fix things that need fixing badly, i.e. CVs, balance in general, events, OPs, has yielded nothing but poor exuses and questionable replies. I understand the frustration of having people on your team that have the attention span of a gold fish. But asking them to fix their cashcows...i mean players...hm...and somewhere in WGs headquarters, somebody is laughing his *** off. Or would laugh his *** off, if someone over there would actually bother to visit these forums once or twice a year.

You're wrong, and holy crap are you wrong on this one, because to any of your examples, there is a way to counter. There is no way to counter CVs. If you can't ignore Karma, you have to accept the fact that you'll get reported for playing CVs. And that's what i do every game there's a CV: i report both teams CV(s). If you play a highly broken and toxic class, consider it Karma to be reported for doing so. Oh, wait... ^^

We have a very specific CV discussion thread, that was pinned by WG staff/ mods, so WG devs can ignore all CV related things in the thread. It saves them time to ignore various CV related threads all over the forum. In regards to the rest of your post (which indicates you're very well aware of things): You lost 4 karma playing a CV? Buhuuu, cry me a river. It's like saying: "I used my baseball bat to club people in wheelchairs and now everyone is blaming me and calling me a bully...UNFAIR!".

I am again on a month long chat vacation (but those 6 hours between chat bans were awesome^^) but now i have the issue, that the chat ban message in bright orange colors doesn't go away at all. It pops up and never goes away regardless how long i am logged in. I am getting the feeling, that WG is trying to tell me something. -
Ideally, this panic effect should be enhanced to a point where it automatically drops the CV player back to port!

So, the summer sale is upon us, and WG, being very generous, gave us a small mission chain to aquire 15 tokens. Which you can use to to buy, either a Santas Big Gift container, Lunar New Year crate, Halloween crate, each for 12 tokens, or a standard gift container or summer camos for 1 Token. Best part is, you can complete this mission chain in all game modes. Sadly, WG being WG, they added one scumbag requirement: earn 12 achievements. Any plans to complete the mission chain at a chilled pace in coop within the given 6 days goes out of the window. You will need to fork out coin if you want to get any of the actually valueable rewards Atlanta camo (65 Tokens!!!), Premium mship container (from 65 tokens for a TV up to 180 tokens for a TVIII container). While the premium shop gives you the option to buy 50Tokens for ~9€ (apparantly it's a daily offer), you might wanna be careful and check, if it's not cheaper to buy the desired ship directly intead of buying gambling boxes, paying more and most likely not even getting what you want in the first place. Anyways, just another "give us more money" event by WG, who, and i have to congratulate them on that, really took the message of "The Art of the Deal" to their rotten hearts, and like the author of that book, realized that the best kind of deal is the one where one party gets screwed hard. And it ain't WG. Anyways, i'm off to Steam to check what kinda deals they have.
