Those don't look exactly like Ribbons, more like splotches of colour with overlayed bitmaps. Not really pleasing to the eye, and i'm pretty sure, the important information could have been displayed with the olden Ribbons too.

Congrats on the anniversary! Not sure if i can make it on that Saturday, RL strikes again. However for those who are interested, i can assure you that every one of those ships is worth it. Besides, the event itself is certainly worth it.

Despite being quite cross how Ranked developed sofar ( got stuck at Rank 14) i decided last weekend to play one or two games. Just for shits and giggles. It turned out very well, went from 14.0 on Saturday straight down to 7.0 on Sunday. Up to that point i had only 6 defeats and only in two i lost a star. I should have stopped there, as i was very sleepy but still decided to play one more. And another one. And another one... 'effin greed cost me another three defeats and i'm down to 8.3. Still, was a very successful weekend in ranked.

The reason why higher Ranks seem "easier" is simple: better team mates. Quite a number of players who got past Rank 9 are quite good, or can carry their own weight. While Ranks 21 - 11 are filled with players who aren't that good at that game or don't quite understand the different playstyle Ranked requires in comparison to Random. Granted, there are also a good number of players who died their way up, but the closer you get to Rank 5, the better the players in there get. Doesn't mean you gonna win more often, as the other teams have good players too. ^^

I was thinking the same, but then decided to buy the bundle anyway. Not putting the Gremy on sale was a mistake, imo. But WG doesn't exactly keeps word, when it comes to...basically everything.

I disagree. Standard Battle is a camp fest and should be removed in Tiers from Tier V upwards. And if "snipers" and cowards dont support caps, well then they totally deserve the defeat. Personally, i like the Cyclone, it adds a nice element to the game.

Oh, well i have to buy the modules then, and see the difference in (gun) performance. I bought my Shimakaze yesterday, and i had 90k Credits left afterwards, which isn't enough to equip any modules.

So, i bought both ( obviously^^) and i took the Yubari out for a spin. Not sure what the fuss is all about, i managed 67k damage and two kills in my very first game with her. Have to see how things develop but if this keeps up this way, the last thing Yubari needs is a buff as it would make her OP. ^^

Do other servers get the opportunity to buy the ships at the same time? Or at a later date? What about the Wiki contribution effort where you have the chance to get a Gremy? NA only?

You know, if you already advertising prohibited mods for WoWS, you could at least give us some coupon codes, something like a sale for first time offenders buyers: Use this coupon code to get 40% off, if you buy the totally overprized useless awesome piece of crap Software, usually only bought by braindead imbecils. If you are already a idiot customer, we give you 20% off for the next update and we promise to not abuse your Credit card information for at least one week. It's one of those threads. Haven't seen one of those in days.

For me it's the Jolly Roger flag. I want this flag on my ships. The sense of achievement that comes along with it. The Atlanta class reward ship is also a Motivation for me as a collector. ^^ Granted, i could mod myself the flag onto my ship but meh, it's just not the same. That being said, Ranked is a mess atm - actually, when i think about it, it was always this way. Whatever skill and effort i - and other people - put into it, it depends way too much on luck. Luck as in, am i lucky enough this time to have a decent team? Folks who know that capping wins the game, not yolo-ing, not hiding at the map border, not going for the kill in the most stupid way possible. People throw away basically sure victorys to get a kill or whatever. Of course i too do screw up now and then, but not on that scale. People who actually listen and use their Brain ( assuming they have one to begin with). I get pretty upset occasionally in Ranked, due to the mindboggling things i have to witness. While in can accept the fact that playing Random is basically a "How to not...", i can't accept that for Ranked. If it weren't for the Flag and all that comes with it (no, not the Sigbnals, the Dubloons or the Credits), i'd stop playing Ranked and tell WG to...nevermind. We need a qualification mode for Ranked. At least in my opinion, as even skill based MM wouldn't cut it for Ranked.

If you consider this game to be crap, then stop playing. There have been Rumors all over the internet that there are other PC games. Noone knows anything for sure as there are no facts but recently someone on a board that shall remain unnamed, mentioned the title of one of the games. I know, don't spread rumours and stuff, but this really sounds exiting. The title was something along the lines of "Call of booty" or "Call me tootsie". Maybe it was "Chore of Duty". You might want to check that out.

Just met Dropsiq in a Ranked game, which was quite fun. It was my first victory today and my return to rank 14. He was in his Indianapolis contesting the B cap i capped earlier. While he engaged a friendly Farragut, i started rushing him in my Mahan and eventually sank him. However, we all sufffered from heavy lag spikes and rubberbanding, so yeah. -_- Was still fun though, seeing a Nagato teleporting all over the place while my shots did the weirdest crap. It was like in one of those animes where you shoot a bazilion missiles and the fly all over the place. Also met Strangers in his CV this weekend, and yes we lost that game.

Back to Rank 14, thankfully. Not sure if my team was that tiny bit better then the enemy team, or if the lagspikes and rubberbanding helped us more then it helped them. ^^

just had the luck of dropping back to Rank 15. The more i play ranked, the more i start hating other players. Seriosly, how stupid has one to be, to throw a basically sure victory by going point blank with a BB in a CL? Why doing a torp run in a York on a Colorado that's over 9km away and has no intentions to come any closer? Why do CV drivers insist on going for Cruisers and ignoring the damaged and burning BB at less then 25% HP? Why do Hatsuharu drivers think it's a bloody good idea to start a gunfight with a Kiev and a Myoko before even get spotted? Why does noone can be arsed to only defend the caps we have and win by points, but instead has to go full retard and engage ships in an futile attempt to kill? Why do i have the luck to end with those kind of players in my team? Why is there no fuckin info during the loading screen - in the language the game client is set to - that adresses all the basics of ranked?

Happened to me too. Just press Ctrl - Enter ( or was it Ctrl - Shift -Enter). If you running full screen the game will switch to windowed mode. Press same key combination again and the game will go full screen again with the GUI back.
