The RU DDs ahave Torps for decoration and for situations where you can ambush a ship behind an island. Also useful in knife fights with other DDs. You're source of damage are your guns, which are very effective against Cruisers (AP). 1. Change course and speed often to throw of the aim of enemy ships. 2. Don't push caps ( unless you're the only DD in your team), but support capping DDs. You're detection range is horrible, you'll get spotted and nuked if you're the first in the cap. But your guns are quite punchy, protect the DD during the initial stage 3. stick with Cruisers, let them sponge up the damage - cause that is what RU DDs basically are: small Cruisers 4. If things get to heated, stop firing, reposition yourself engage again. Rinse, lathe, repeat. 5. wiggle. wiggle a lot and stop until the game ends 6. don't rely on your smoke, it's duration is too short. Try to use smoke screens of allied US DDs or scavange whatever smoke screen is available 7. never ever - EVER - stop! RU DDs are amazingly fast, some of them make over 47kn with flags and booster - use this to your advantage Kiev (post-nerf) is still a good hunterkiller but you need to keep range and wiggle a lot. Tashekent gets the 8km Torps, but plays more like a RU Cruiser. You can YOLO rush BBs in it and get away. Udaloi is a joy to play - for me - it's a massive improvement over all preceeding ships in that line. The very first game i had in it was not only a blast, but the result was great too. So yeah, it is worth the Grind.

I iz a sad Panda nao. Was indeed a rather odd battle, started good, then the Cruisers on my side turned and got nuked, i got focused. I liked how aggressive you pushed your side, with barely over 300 HP left in a ship that has paper for armour. But i know that feeling.^^ Whenever Hurz ( German CC) was in my team, things went downhill with warpspeed. Yet, when on enemy team, we both do rather good.

It will calm down and it's not even remotely bad as it was with the Tirpitz back in the day. There were up to 6 Tirpitzes on each side for weeks, but it eventually calmed down. I'm actually surprised that it's not worse. I don't think that the Scharnhorst will push out cruisers, folks just need some time to adapt. She's not remotely as strong as the Rhm. Scorpion TD that got released on Friday. That thing is [edited]strong and hilariously awesome. I hope this Tank will not get nerfed...

The Flag should have been part of the mid price bundle, not only the Ultimately inflated one. While the price is - despite being 80bucks - still within my limits, the content just doesn't justify it for me. Damage Controls? Planes? Just Nope. Put in more usefull stuff like Gold, Prem time or USEFULL Signals, then we can talk WG.

So the RN is the secret announcement. Knew it.^^ Which means, Dunkerque players will not only be able to run from US, IJN, German, Russian, Polish and Pan Asian ships, but also from the historical arch rivals - the RN.

Bismark is not a Premium ship, so it's understandable that the Perma camo comes at a cost. While the price is rather steep for perma camos, i gonna buy them anyways. The benefits outweigh the cost plus they look pretty good for the most part.

You were actually quite helpful, but then i effed it up by doing a torprun on both BBs behind that island, stupidly assuming they would get out of cover. Both spreads missed and there i was, literally between a rock and a hard place. Still surprised though, that i got 50k + damagae without any torp hits.

What i meant was, that WG releases the RN in the next few weeks as a surprise. Sure, not likely at all but it would be a heck of a surprise and would creta a hype hell.

It would be a big surprise if WG announces RN ships to be released in one of the next patches and starts a hype that dwarfs even the GER BB one. Heck, they could even release the RN CA tree with the Ger BBs with a patch. ^^ More likely though is the official confiirmation of RN CLs this year and the announcement of this "secret" new line they were talking about earlier this year. Personally, i'm not going to jump the hype train for any line. I just want my Scharnhorst and the Dunkerque as i like to try the chicken playstyle that seems to be the current meta. And the Dunkerque seems to be specifically made for players who like to chicken out.^^ Fast, no armour, no main arnament on the stern, terrible AA, horrible Secondaries - yep, a ship made to chicken out. Maybe they even add new Ribbons for succesfully evading combat, one for really fast evading combat and caps along with a special flag like this one.

Met unintentional_submarine in his Roon this evening, and neither of us wanted to carry the game. It's Monday, so yeah. Pushed the B cap in my Gearing, and got a bit too close to a Yamato an Iowa and a Cruiser. Was a short game, but still fun and profitable.

Not sure why everyone is surprised by WGs dickmove. It's not like this is the first time they pull a stunt like this and it certainly wont be the last. Just take a look occasionally at the specials in the Premium shop for the different servers and you'll see a pattern. EU gets the Type 54 mod 1 for WGs birthday celebration, a Tank that is no longer in the Prem...oh wait. Seriously, NA and Asia have much better deals ( WZ 111 for the second time on sale within a couple of weeks, this time without the useless crap WG puts in to inflate the price) and the "rarer" tanks are more frequently on sale. Noone ever treated his cash cow decently. It gets milked until it no longer can deliver or until it dies. Deal with it.

Pushing with the rest or slightly ahead is not YOLOing! Sitting back like a chicken and hiding behind islands is far worse and retardedly stupid. @OP: BBs don't need any buffs, they are quite good as they are. I commend you for not pussying in the back, but you as a BB should: 1. use Vigilance on your Captain 2. have always a Plane up as additional spotter 3. change your course and speed quite frequently These are things that keep you alive as a BB captain, added bonus is, with these you can drive DD drivers into a serious rage.^^ There are of course things that you can't avoid, a well placed cross drop by a CV or well executed drops by DDs are rarely if ever dodgeable.

True. However i like that this new game gives me an option to play something different? It's like saying: "you can play as a famous Admiral, in charge of one of the mightiest warships ever build ( WoWS ) or you can play as guy who cleans toilets and floors on one of the mightiest warships ever build (Gaijin). It's good to have options, you know!

I only use profanity when someone else starts first. The only word that i used today was "moron" when i asked my team why they lemming train and if they are allergic to the B cap. Someone replied with this "tactic" nonsense to cap one cap first on a three cap domination map and then move on to the second and i was called moron and noob. Then i told him, that this is a stupid tactic leaving two caps uncontested and called him moron. I asked them to push which was ignored. Then i told them how the game will end 'cause in the current high tier meta games have become quite predictable ( sadly enough, my prediction was spot on, for all games). EDIT: I also asked them to grow a pair and stop employing coward tactics, and then whine on the forums about a bad economy in T X games. In a second game, same thing. When our team realized that the enemy team was heading for the same cap as we did, a division of three Tirpitzes bailed out and did hide behind an island. I asked them to go for B, but they decided to die one by one near the a cap. Now that i think about it, in four out of those five games, the BBs where in two and three man divisions. So my guess is, i got reported by the entire division plus other team members who may or may not felt i was talking to them. Just to clarify, i don't think i'm innocent in this as i tend to employ lots of sarcasm when it comes to chicken playstyle. I'm also not complaining about the chatban, as there needs to be a system in place which deals with insults. Asking folks why they hide shouldn't be considered offensive, but nobody likes being called a chicken when they think much better of themself - they're T X after all. EDIT 2: Another thing i like to clarify: i ask folks first to push or to cap, which is usually followed by comments like "no" or "noob" or just plain ignored. And then things get sarcastic. ^^

I played 9 games today, and i commented on the performance of several BBs in 5 of them. In three games i wasn't able to comment due to chatban, so it seems it doesn't take much.^^

I got chat banned - again - for telling folks who sit behind islands like chicken ( THREE top Tier BBs! ) that they should stop hiding behind islands like chicken. I guess that's an achievement, considering it's only the second time. ^^

I wouldn't say that the OP is brilliant, it is however a well done attempt at trolling and certainly of higher quality than what we usually get from our resident Trolls.

It's a NY with better AA. The center turret placement allows you to put more guns on target without giving too much broadside. She's a bit slower then NY but apart from that, she's the same. The AA is deadly for lower tier planes and still quite good with higher tier ones. This ship brought me the "Clear Skies" achievment for the first time. ^^
