It is still common, not only on lower tiers. Had a game in my shima 2 days ago, the enemy Hakuryu was sitting at his spawn point during the game...he died there.^^ Two games later, our Midway died at his spawn, he was quite salty about the fact that the team didn't save him. Despite nunmerous "CV move" requests, he was just sitting there.

After a few succesfull games (all victories) in a Division with xenopathia and P4rdus, i decided to take my Gearing out for a spin.

You do realize, that the Radar isn't always on, it has a cooldown, right?

I for one welcome our new Radar equipped BB overlord! If it is - and always will be - the only single fukkin' BB with Radar: fine, i plan to get that boat anyways and having one that is different...whatever. If they planning giving radar to every BB: no. No effin way. Not in this lifetime WG. Just don't.

Well, it's too dark, the contrast and saturation are way off. The backdrop is nice i guess, but the cam should be lower to put the DD a bit higher, would be much more appealing if the composition would adhear to the rule of three. And who had the glorious idea to take a dump on the pic by slapping a table onto it? Fix those issues, and post again, we'll help ya making a piece of art of it!

True, their performance is so horrible, it boggles the mind. It's not only the BB players who play like chicken, this applies to players of any class (DDs that sit behind the BBs). There's quite a number of reasons why players sit back and snipe: economical reasons range fear of torps and getting focused lack of experience and/ or little to no knowledge of game mechanics stat padding reasons a healthy mix of the above Lately, while trying to improve my own gameplay in BBs, i noticed some "odditys" in the behaviour of BB players. And since i started playing more DDs to get Torpedo hits for that ARP mission, i saw a pattern emerge. To avoid a wall of text and put it into one word: control. When they sit far away, it seems that the players have the feeling of being in control of the situation. The moment those BBs got in the thick of it, they started to panic behaved like headless chicken and made mistakes, they probably wouldn't if the events that lead to this would have occured outside their comfort zone. Well, just a impression i had over the last two dozen games or so, so no real evidence, but a possible explanation why a lot of players stay at range. I'll see if i can get any more indicators in the next games i play that support this theory, and try to watch my own replays. Do you guys hava a comfort zone?

Congrats to Rank 1 m8, a well deserved achievement. Must have been a chore getting to the upper ranks, tho i've heard, the ranks 3-1 are somewhat bearable.

Yeah, folkjs were quite salty about this bundle and many didn't buy the ImpNik back then. I'm pretty sure, if WG would decide to sell the ImpNik again for 50€, folks would buy it and than complain about the price.^^

So, if i did read right, you need to achieve that in three consecutive seasons. I see some folks made it three times to rank 1, just not in consecutive seasons. Which may or may not lead to disappointment, and we all know that disappointment leads to tears, tears lead to salt and salt leads to a large number of rage threads and posts. And with the IJN DD split, the RN CL gate and the Big Mo incident....gonna start stockpiling Popcorn.^^

Not sure why folks think the Mogami is weak. Had a match last weekend where a Mogami engaged me ( Grosser Kurfurst) at less than 10km together with two DDs, a Tirpitz and and a Hipper, and she - unlike the other ships in that engagement - lived to tell the story with ~half her HP left. Granted, only my secondaries where firing at the Mogami, but still. I like the Mogami as she is, wouldn't mind if they would cover her Citadel with at least one layer of cardboard. Ontopic: Worst ship ingame? Chester. Even the pre-buff Albany was better.

Right, 'cause DD cry-babies never ever cried...must have been my imagination that several threads popped where DD cry-babies where crying about the adjustment of the shima torps "mimimi, WG is sooo evul, took away my long range fire&forget torps, now i have to put effort in...". A patient shouldn't be buried before he dies, so i'd say wait for the line to get released, than start with the complaning. ^^

Ugh no, HE is not what RN Cruisers need. Seems, HE spam is the only way some folks can do damage, so it's refreshing to have a line that introduces a new playstyle. The rest of your post sounds like butthurt to me, and why would a WWII Vet give a flying f$ck whether the RN CLs have HE or not? Also, game balancing/ mechanics > realism.

I'm gonna wait with the pitchforks and bonfires 'till the line gets released, as mentioned above, the ships being tested atm and everything is subject to change. Still, if what i saw during the game is an indicator, the IJN gunboat DDs will be quite interesting.

Had a game yesterday where a ST was playing the Akizuki. Thanks to our DDs, which did a marvelous job of spotting BEHIND the BBs, i ate a few torps from the side while having a Ibuki, an Amagi and a Tirpitz in front of me spamming HE and torps. Anyways, it alllowed me to sail in the Akizuki for the rest of the game, and it seems to be quite a interesting boat. The RoF seems on par with RU DDs, the range the ST was engaging the Amagi indicates default RU/ upgraded IJN range. The single Torp launcher can deliver a devastating blow, but since he ambushed a Cruiser i can't say much about the range. Agility and mobility wise, this boat seems to perform as a mix of IJN and RU DDs - like a bastard child of a Fubuki and a Tashkent. I did record the game, but i'd like to see it during the entire match so i need to check if i have replays enabled (was a bit late last night). Of course, everything i saw is subject to change, but what i saw was exciting and i get this "me wants IJN gunboats nao" feeling. #IJNDDsHaveGunsToo #whereisthehype #ineedthis

Got my Nachi yesterday, got the last 6 missing RU kills in 5 games. In a lot of games where up to 4 RU ships on the enemy team which made it relatively easy to get them. Next objective: torp spamming for shits, giggles and a ship i already have!

There are many, and i made screenshots of some of them, gonna dig them out. For now, i quote myself from a game where i met two forumites in a division on my team (Babykim?) while sailing the Molotov, we had a conversation in chat about noobs who can't play and blame the team: me: ...i'm gonna yolo the D cap and when they wreck me, i'm gonna blame my team for it... forumite: ^^ I push the D cap behind another ship, a wild BB appears - delets/ detonates me at long range and i was thinking " well crap, now that's awkward" me: ...MY TEAM SUCKS... rest of team: lol

Unlocked ARP Nachi just now. It seems, this weekend is a no win weekend for me. Most of the players i had in my teams are so terrible, i wonder how some of them made it to rank one. How does one get to ranked with a 46% WR and 29k average damage anyway?

Is it still worth the grind? Yes, yes it is.
