I would like peoples thoughts on this
Jethro_Grey replied to ArkRoyal_R09's topic in General Discussion
At close range true, at the ranges some folks play them, i.e. 15km+ you have to get lucky to get reliable hits. And i prefer to not rely on luck in a game that has RNG as first point of the game mechanic description.- 45 replies

If it's worth it, why not? Maybe we can can even get a consumeable that boosts the effect of RPF for 90 secs and shows the exact location instead just the direction of the closest target. This would make sealclubbing even more fun!
-
First of all, BBs did not ruin the game, it's the pussies and selfproclaimed "pro-leet-gamers" who use the range advantage for stetpedding that play the BBs. The other group of BB sailing chicken is the one that is crapping their pants when a DD is on the other team, so basically every.single.[edited].game. The more DDs per game, the more campy it usually gets. So, in order to fix the meta without nerfing all classes into the ground and turn this game into a pussy retard compatible point and click adventure, we need a limit of BBs and DDs with a max of three each and encouragement for brawling in form of XP and credit modifiers. This is of course only one possibility.

0.6.0 New Commander Skills - Frequently Asked Questions
Jethro_Grey replied to Cynd3r's topic in News Archive
Oh look, an advertisement for a thing nobody wants! I'll see if i find the time to make my own Q&A... -
This is actually a pretty accurate description of what happens in meetings in all companys all around the world every day. Why would WG be different? ^^
-
It's funny actually, how WG starts a "remove all cheats and haxxorz and ban the offenders" campaign in WoWS and WoT, then introduces one themselfs and defends it despite a lot of negative feedback. Where they too successful in their hunt for haxxoring folks? Do they have a quota for minimum number of haxxorz that they feel the need to introduce one themself?

I have quite a number of decently skilled captains, most of them have CE, so i can spare one or two per nation and move them into Seal clubbing ships. Tho a few of those seal clubbers are premiums, so not even a need to retrain the captains. Anyways, my Kamikaze, Kamikaze R, Fujin, Konig Albert, Imperator Nikolai, Langley, Hosho, Clemson and my low Tier German DDs will get new 15-18 skill captains. Hurray! #sealclubbingisfunneh #thxforRPFWG #thissealclubbingeventissponsoredbyWG #stetpeddingcourtesyofWGsRPFshenenigans #makesealclubbinggreatagain #yeswecan...andwewill

Whats inside 101 Try your luck containers
Jethro_Grey replied to DBoZ_Skyline's topic in General Discussion
Usually 5 flag of some - mostly useless - kind. A while back, i started using the other options which have been more useful, even though i have yet to get another supercontainer. -
Less than 100...thankfully. ^^

What did everyone get in their 'New Year Special Container'?

The cost of creating a clan is 2,500 Doubloons.
Jethro_Grey replied to celephais's topic in General Discussion
I assume, this is supposed to prevent players from creating a clan every day to "collect" clan names. Good thing imo. -
Yes. Spotted and nobody within 15km: DD nearby. Just point your bow or your stern at the RPF icon and dodge walls of skill with little to no effort.
-
Exactly. Let me put it in a catchy colourful metaphor: You don't have to be a Chef to know when someone serves you $hit.

Patch 0.6.0 Patch Notes - RPF is still a thing
Jethro_Grey replied to StuntMan0369's topic in General Discussion
While seal clubbing is fun, it wouldn't work towards the goal of getting rid of that skill. Low tier players are much less likely to complain, higher tier DD players otoh... oh yes, they will complain even if the player that sunk them didn't have the RPF skill. ^^ Still, with the new skill changes, a lot more of my captains will have CE, so seal clubbing should be even more fun. -
Patch 0.6.0 Patch Notes - RPF is still a thing
Jethro_Grey replied to StuntMan0369's topic in General Discussion
Three Des Moines or two Des Moines and a Gearing in a division hunting DDs and torching BBs...yep, sounds like lotsa fun...i'm in. ^^ -
True. But it tells the enemy from where to expect torps/an attack and where to look for. This thing needs to go - fast.

Patch 0.6.0 Patch Notes - RPF is still a thing
Jethro_Grey replied to StuntMan0369's topic in General Discussion
I am all for it. Since, according to Sub_Ocativian, the RU cluster seems to be the loudest opponent to this bull$hit skill, we should try to get in touch with them and the NA server and start a multiserver-$hitstorm. It's in line with the IJN BB camos, i kinda like it. So basically yes, it's the green blobby thing with white crap and bright green spotches. ^^ -
Yes, yes it will. Once the majority of players get the memo, they will stay back, not contest caps, not spot and not flank. Noone will want to be the first to get detected, so there will be lotsa nice folks who will give others the opportunity to be the first in line. Besides, ichase showed how to use this skill, he literrally sacrificed a team mate and this is not the new norm i want to have in this game. #yodawgsweheardyoulikecampingsoweintroducedatoolthatguaranteesthattherewillbemoreccampingthaneverbeforenoneedtothankuswecatertotheneedsofourplayerbase

I like how you have to go to the other server and view the patchnotes to get some screenshots for the new Prem camos. GG WG. -
Patch 0.6.0 Patch Notes - RPF is still a thing
Jethro_Grey replied to StuntMan0369's topic in General Discussion
Time to mothball my DDs, and put this retarded RPF skill on my Des Moines and my German BBs. Just to see how long it takes for the shitstorm to evolve on the forums when every DD driver gets raped by Cruisers/ BBs with that skill. -
Just because you never saw an Alien, a Unicorn, a Balrog, a honest politician and Bob - the living turd doesn't mean they aren't out there. Somewhere. So yeah, there might be one of those folks that thinks that this RPF is actually a good idea. Edit: I just remebered that Aeroon thinks it's not bad, in the vid where he was sailing the Des Moines. I guess they watched the vid, said "...only one who likes it, while the rest despises it...good enough for us lets keep it in."

Legit? So, if you play in a lotterie and do not get the jackpot on your first try you get salty and it's legit? This xams gift boxes event was exactly that: a lottery. Some got lucky, some do not. The youtubers got lucky, so did many others. Some got the Gremy and the Nikolai, while others got three times the Sims or Emden. Happens when you roll a dice, but people have expectations and when those aren't met, they get salty and claim "scam and ripoff". And they NEVER said you get a ship in every box, they said, that will get your moneys worth of items in every box. And that's what happened. Luck? Like i got the only missing ship in the first box i opened? Can't speak for him but i do not, they wouldn't want someone like me who critizes every wrong move they make in regards to server inequality.^^ But for this xmas gift box event, i do not see a reason to give them crap.
