What happened in just 234 games? Horrible

I used to do that as well, playing mainly DDs. My winrate remained firmly fixed at 50%. Then I made 2 changes and my WR is steadily climbing, meaning I am having a much more positive impact. The two changes were: 1. I still play pretty aggressively, but adjust my play to the team. Lifeless or stupid team: I play as if I am alone, which means I take much less risk and don't go much ahead of my team. Result: I die much less and later and have more fun and less frustration and win more. 2. I limit the amount of unsuitable grinds I do. Some ships simply don't suit you and some grinds really depress your WR. I limit those kind of grinds to max 50% of the games I play. Net result: much less annoyance and steady climb in WR. I can really recommend it.

The last few days I also notice that players seem more stupid than usual. Perhaps some of the events are getting them out of the woodwork

I don't have English language article on this, but a Dutch court has ruled that loot boxes in fifa are illegal and the Dutch Gambling Authority has issued a desist order to EA which can total € 10 million. @WG legal department take notice.

Yes, the Gambling Authority can impose a fine of €250K per week with a maximum of €5 mln on EA and it's Swiss subsidiary each week.

This thread really amuses me. Hizen is not the greatest thing since sliced bread, what is the problem skipping it???

I agree: I play F2P and feel it's fine. Yeah, whales may load their ships with camos and signals, and occasionally there is an op premium, but you can always be competitive in randoms. In fact, once I figured out that T10 is not players heaven , I realised that I can enjoy the journey rather than the arrival. I think many players that spend mucho deneiro don't even get as much satisfaction out of the game cause WG is playing on their fomo all the time.

I will just grind for some of the goodies but not for the Hizen. Find my own grind/reward balance. Did 18 stages of the Anchorage event without too much trouble. Refuse to do PR level of aggravation.

RU radars are brief. US radars are the real risk, esp CA radar as CL radar just ranges 9 km. So it's a lot more nuanced than just 'radars'. I look at where the planes go, whether there is a US CA at my cap and which DD may oppose me. If my CV does a good recon and odds are not too bad, I try a cautious immediate cap. The one thing that makes me laugh out loud is if I see the enemy DD running from the cap for our planes

Communication in chat seems offensive to some. I once got -1 for stating I will spot at cap x

Perhaps a noob question. It can be mounted in slot 1 and increases the action time of the consumable +40%. Nice? But when you have used the consumable without the upgrade already all damage (engines, rudder, fires) has been repaired. So what is the use of an extra +40% action time?? It seems redundant.

Yeah that sucks. My advice is to choose a meaningful but not explicit user name that has a hint of defiance in it that is meaningful for you. Vengeful Koala or something - I guess that will not be it. But make it reflect your pride in who you are. Good luck and don't let it get to you.

A lot of players have a ton of legacy weighing them down. My first 6K games I was absolutely average at 50% WR. Then I burnt out and had a 1 year hiatus. When I returned I played for fun and stayed at 50%. Only then I found the wiki and this forum and started to learn. Now at 10K random games my WR and other stats are climbing but it will take a long time to compensate for my mediocre past. I don't mind though, I am no stat junkie, and I do enjoy at last breaking through the 52% WR some time in the upcoming weeks. My 21 day WR has been between 55 and 60% for about a year now, so I hope to progress some more. Looking at career average stats is often useless though, as it mainly shows how good or bad players were years ago.

I don't know how they implemented the sbmm, so perhaps a better way could be devised. But it is clear there is no appetite for it, so I will leave it at this. Also, I don't think the current MM is totally bad. It works OK-ish imo. The biggest problem imo is that total noobs and very good players are matched in the same game leading to frustrating stomps. If any solution could be devised for that I would be truly grateful.

I am calling you on your hypocritical BS now. You claim that you are merely pointing out that some people with low stats have no basis to speak on this forum. Apart from the point that that's BS in itself (you can judge comments on their merit without denigrating people with lower stats), you did not even bother to do your homework. If you had, you would have discovered that my current WR is about 60%, in the same ballpark as yours. Your condescending attitude is thus based on nothing except your apparent need to inflate your fragile ego by pissing on others. And then claiming that people who object to that are snowflakes. When called on that you keep pretending that it is just valid criticism, but the record of this thread and your sloppy research on others stats tell a different story. I for one prefer to have civil discussions on this forum, but will call out a jerk like you if you misrepresent the facts as you do. End rant.

Lighting has 5.5 km detection range, that counts as stealth. But it is 2 different play styles and type of DDs. I play more cautiously in IJN torp DDs too. In Lightning I manage to have the better of the initial exchange 4 times out of 5. That's good value imo.

One thing I disagree with as a DD main: do go for caps. Not to cap at all cost, but do contest them. My favourite tool for this is Lightning, with many smokes and defensive hydro. With any luck you provoke the opposing DD into a mistake and early demise. Quite useful.
