Usually my conversations in ranked go like this (I play DD, Lighting and Daring, so I contest caps): - F10 - reply: F2 - I go for [A B or C] cap - silence - [radar cruiser X] F5 - silence - I will approach cap under cover island [y] - silence - can you please radar just before I enter cap - silence - [radar cruiser X] F5 - stfu you retarded moron who made you admiral - I cap and kill enemy DD - I will go cap [next] now - silence - enemy DD direction [map clicks] I have RL please support - cruiser stays at 10 km from cap, no reply - F5 - stfu noob, BB at 20 km I can't close - I cap 2nd cap fight enemy DD which is supported and die alone - well done! - stupid DD, always die, you noob I try, but the stupid negativity is sometimes overwhelming.

Good points. But an ELO based system does not need to be perfect, it can very easily be better than the current frustrating mess. I am a moderately above average player at 52% WR. But I don't want to be playing the sub 45% loonies that do the most asinine stuff all the time. Please give me 50-55% players that will make most battles interesting. An ELO system would do that. It won't be perfect, but it will be so much better than the current loony show

Except WG won't do it. Apparently they consider bad BB players their primary source of income. So they won't let the birds come home to roost. I have come to the conclusion that WG just don't give a flying f... about their player base. They have stumbled on a rather good game and are farming it like there is no tomorrow. So the only thing you can do is face this reality, and find your own way to play this game as it is. No illusions that it will ever change, it will surely get worse. For me, I am a DD main with some cruisers on the side. I play for the win and will fight for the cap. Whatever my own team does. Sometimes there will be a real good game that I will celebrate. And mourn that this game could be like this all the time, but WG does not want it that way. They seem to believe that they can maximize profits by catering to the lowest common baBBy denominator. Too bad, but that's what it is.

Sure, agreed. You have to be conscious of the situation as always. But I did not want to encourage OP to not support his DDs.

Good advice. Your cruiser 2 is too categorical though. Exceptions to this rule are in situations where you support your DD. So you should fire immediately when an enemy DD is spotted not too far from you or when an enemy cruiser is firing on your DD. And to OP: I would start focusing on 1 account to accumulate your assets in 1 place.

Muh, I think silver has the best work/reward balance.

Ranked out fairly easily, 18 games. 1 in Edinburgh, rest Lightning. Quality of the games was OK, no extreme stupidity. Now qualify for silver. Brought my Daring captain up to 21 points, so will be earning elite XP again.

I agree. It's a great pity WG is mismanaging this game. But I accept that now as an unfortunate fact. I can still make the game work for me regardless. If that's gone too, it's time to move on.

I honestly don't have a problem with campers. If they are red I profit from their passive behaviour, if they are on my team I adjust my play style. I don't like them, mind you, I think it is incompetent play, but I have learned to adapt to almost any team. The only thing I really hate is a team of glue sniffers that dies in 5 minutes. Then you can't do anything useful.

No it does not do anything except give you a moment of satisfaction that you have vented your anger. And if 2 people report a player in the same game he will see that. I don't think that has much effect though.

I prefer radar Edinburgh. Longer radar range, lower detection range, comfortable stealth radar as a result and excellent heal. And MM will put another T8 on the enemy team which will likely have a player with much less experience

Don't you find Seattle a bit squishy?

It's a bit messy, as you would expect on day 1 ranked bronze. Teams are all over the place. But my experience hasn't been too bad so far. Started with radar Edin just for the fun, then got to R5 with Lightning. Am calling it a day for now.
