Had it with rampant toxicity in the game
Camperdown replied to Karasu_Browarszky's topic in General Discussion
Btw full disclosure: I do get salty in chat sometimes. I apologise for that in advance. F.e. just played ranked, got torped from behind by Yoshi who says in chat " luls Daring pay attention". I got salty. After game end I see that the GK on my flank scored 36 damage. No, he was not afk, he wasn't a bot cause he moved and talked in chat: "Noob team". Btw that was 36 damage period. Not 36K. How can you do that in a GK? He must have turned off his secondaries Edit that is 36 XP of. -

Would it help to drop a few tiers, say to T6-8? -

Hey, what a pity you feel this bad about some sh!ts in a game. You seem a decent guy/girl/other on this forum, so it's a shame you get bothered by stupid chat. To echo some good advice: - take a break - ignore the sh!ts - try to get better at the game - don't be ashamed of your stats On the get better bit: have you got some idea already why you're not that good yet? My experience is some stuff can be addressed with some effort. -
I can't wait for T8 premium Red Oktober

I bought the anti-deto signal for some time, but stopped as I think they are a waste of good coal or whatever moneh.

I would never take priority target on any DD. When I am spotted in a DD I assume that every man and his mother will shoot at me. It just distracts me to see that I am targeted by 4-8 players. And the difference between 4 or 8 is moot, I need to get the hell out of Dodge
-
And an exaggeration. Only DDs detonate with any frequency. Other ship types it is very infrequent, I would guess less than 1 game in thousand. And for DDs it happens maybe 1 in a 100 games. And maybe 1 in 500 it alters the outcome of a game. The impact of other variables is much higher, such as patatos, weak ships, low point captains, you name it. Focusing on the impact of detonations as a result is just an irrational emotion.

Funny enough I like defending a flank alone in a DD. It allows me to have full focus on 1 set of enemies

Does it require a brain to play CV? Good question!! Let me share some observations: - CV sit in spawn and is killed there without moving 1 meter - CV move forward and sit at same spot. Flank collapses, CV is killed without moving again - DD is spamming torps, team asks CV to spot DD. CV continues trying to farm high HP BB - enemy BB is low HP, team spams F3. CV continues farming other ships So, yes OP, I fully agree with you, operating a CV does require a brain. However, it's just a tiny brain cause if you avoid all the above mistakes, you are guaranteed to live to the end of the game with very little effort Just compare this with playing DD or cruiser and just doing your job. It requires your full attention all of the time or you will be blapped Spot the difference

Wargaming should stop wasting rescources on big hunt and balance the main game

No, I do not assume WG knows how to manage the game well. Too much evidence to the contrary. -
What's with the anti-cruiser focus in development?

I agree with your general analysis, but not with your conclusion. I can still find sufficient pockets of decent enjoyable gameplay. Ranked is mostly OK ( I am in silver still), at T7-8 a couple of ships are fun and ops are OK. Yeah you suffer from stupid teams and stomps, but I manage to have some fun. But it could be so much better and I fear every new release could bring some WG brain fart which makes everything worse again. -

You are right and I seem to be confused. So what German BB had the strong secondaries? Not Bis or Tirp.
-
And while I am at it, why not Norfolk, Port Arthur, Hong Kong, Cherbourg, Brest ...
-
I would love to see: Scapa Flow Spithead/Portsmouth Rosyth/Firth of Forth Malta Gibraltar
-
Ah, OK, I was thinking about 1 on 1 brawl. No, on half HP the Pommies secondaries would certainly kill you. I killed many a Pommes in my Lightning during the brawl
-
You could rush the Pommern and use your single shot torpedoes to hit him 7-8 times. Do watch out for his own torps however, and if you are unlucky his secondaries may kill you.

I rarely ever abandon a flank, for the simple reason that this flank will then run a big risk of total collapse. And a collapsed flank puts the entire battle in a very difficult situation. Even when you probably cannot win anymore, a collapsed flank reduces your opportunity to earn XP and silver. So when a flank performs badly, I consciously switch to defence. I try to slow down the enemy as much as possible and do damage with my torps. Few players and teams are skillful enough to push hard towards a defending DD. Some of my most enjoyable games have been running defences against multiple enemies. Even if they do get me in the end, they have to be good to manage that and it can be fun. OC you need a DD with decent concealment for that. But Lightning for example is very good for this with multiple smokes.

You missed 7 of them

BTW I never, ever use wide spread for torps. Wide spread is simply to easy to avoid.

You may want to change your handle
