You have got a valid point. My assumption would be that there is at least a correlation between attitude and winning battles. Of course some people with a crap attitude will still win a lot, but I think that would be a minority. People that consistently perform well would on average have a better attitude as well. And I think there would likely be a second order effect too: as the meta becomes less crappy, players start to behave better too.

In randoms, I don't mind Smalands that much. In ranked, a good DD captain in a Smaland is the only thing I fear when I play my Daring. Especially if there are also a couple of dangerous (radar) cruisers around. Contesting a cap then becomes a crap shoot, not contesting greatly increases the risk of defeat.

Been there, done that many times in this thread. Use ELO system or make 5 skill classes you can promote to/demote from. Kinda like current ranked but then based on WR.

Or lower DPM.

I played Fiji but then hit a wall. Too many bad DD players doing stupid stuff. Switched to T61 and ranked out and qualified easily. So I guess it is also about in which ship type can you add the most relative value. Edit: ranked out in Lightning, not T61 oc.

This For certain missions I may mount extra flags. In ranked I hoist anti deto in my T10 DDs and sometimes India Delta and/or November Foxtrot.

I play randoms with very few flags and camo I get for free. You don't really need flags (signals) in randoms, they are quite expensive and bring limited benefit. Except oc the economic ones.

Nope. They realise they have the best naval wargame, so they have a niche they can overcharge massively. They have tested this quite cleverly and found out that whales will pay obscene amounts of money for any crap they throw at them. So there is no incentive for WG to act responsibly. They just milk the franchise for as much as they can. As long as they can find customers that will pay them lots of money for crap this will continue
