Hi, too lazy to figure it out myself question: in the armoury I can get 2 battle of Jutland containers. From what it can drop they seem to have good rewards for 70 beast tokens. Correct?

Yep. It is a common mistake I think most players make. Ooh, I am bottom tier and get crapped on, I should get to the next tier for a better ship. Better tactic: enjoy the ride. T10 is not much fun. So best find a couple of ships you like in each tier and git gud before you move up.

Hi, I applaud that you are willing to learn. It is a complex game. As others have pointed out, it can take thousands of games to git gud. A few suggestions: - it is much more useful to play randoms than coop. Bots actually teach you stuff that is harmful in PvP - drop down a couple of tiers. Imo T5-7 are best to learn the game. - become comfortable in a couple of ships or types. When you reach +50% WR in a couple of ships you can start to progress - read the wiki to learn about game mechanics and ship characteristics - post questions on this forum, if they are genuine, even the know-it-alls on this forum will try to help you out

I don't get the intensity. In my experience, CVs are a nuisance. A stupid feature, badly executed. But there are many other things that are as annoying or worse: mixing absolute beginners with good players leading to roflstomps, the silly overmatch mechanics, WGs complete indifference to player opinions. I just don't get how people can stay permanently agitated about this. WG is a pile of crap, get over it. CVs are not even the worst aspect of the game.

OK, I will bite. I don't understand the hate CV hysteria either. Really. They are a bit of a nuisance, but whatever. The way CVs have been implemented in the reeeeewwoooork though, is a shameful mess. But that's vintage WeeGee.

As a DD main I got Stalin, but it is just sitting in port.

Do you manage to enjoy it more now? Does the game feel worse than before your hiatus? I had a 1 year break and was much better able to isolate myself from WGs shenanigans.

That's why I play silver. Imo the best balance: not the poor play of bronze, not the grind and T10 overmatch nonsense of gold. Not that silver is plain sailing though, a lot of incompetence there too. Including my own at times

If you get stuck: - stop for a bit - play a different ship or ship class Some ships work in randoms but not in ranked. Also it seems some ships work in different phases of ranked. But most importantly stop when you get frustrated.

Disagree with OP. Au contraire, maps are much too closed. Take Greece for example. Most of the middle of the map is blocked by islands. Makes for boring, camping play style. Maps with a limited number of islands would be much better.

UK DDs: good concealment, many smokes, hydro, good guns. Very good cap contesters and generalist boats. UK CLs: smoke or radar, good concealment, good DPM, nimble. Good DD hunters and versatile.

One observation: as a DD main (and not a unicum) I find CVs just a nuisance in most cases. Only if a good player focuses on you it is a problem. For the rest you just play around a CV, just like you play around radar etc. I don't see any reason why DD players would have to leave the game. In actual gameplay (many not very good CV players) I think the effect of CVs on DDs is often overstated. DDs are still a very influential class and much more fun to play than the stationary pigeon homes.

My experience is that posters mostly draw very superficial and judgemental conclusions from stats. Mostly they affirm their own preset ideas and dismiss the other player. Rarely do I see stat quotes with positive intents.

Stop! Meditate. Go back to your very earliest memories of playing WoWs. Remember what made the game fun. Cry and mourn for what you have lost. Make a resolution that you will only play WoWs in the way it was: a game that was fun. Don't grind, don't stat pad, don't farm damage, play the game in its original, innocent state. Only you can beat the monster. Now open your eyes and be that reborn WoWs player!

As I can't get Haida in time, as a DD main I am saving for a good premium cap contester. So which should I get, Z39, Cossack or something else?
