WG seems to be an immature company that has found a pot of gold but is incapable of developing a corporate culture to develop further. So we as customers are permanently frustrated using a product that has potential, but is being provided by a scummy company that fails to get to the next level. Too bad. My advice: Don't get sucked in. Understand what you can get out of this game, but don't expect anything reasonable from it's owners.

I don't play CV. Not out of principle, but I suck at CV and can't be bothered to learn because I find them boring. Anyhow, as I don't play them I have to ask you: why don't CVs attack eachother? Many CVs just sit in spawn. I would say fat easy target. Why not try kill red CV?

Comrade, the UK CLs were seriously OP compared to the modest cruisers of mother Russia, which were struggling to compete. To the Gulag!

Reading solid and simple advice on BBs, CVs and DDs on this forum gives me this idea. Let this community develop a 5 minute training video for new players. Just 5 minutes for the key things about tactical play which helps a noob to avoid the most silly and annoying mistakes. This video will be required watching for any existing and new player. How about it? So what should be in it if you really want to keep it to 5 minutes?

One of the key things for any ship class is controlled aggression: knowing when to wait for the tactical situation to clear and develop, when to push, how to have an exit strategy and when to defend and kite away. Reading the tactical situation with the help of the minimap is key. Knowing which red ships are on your flank, are they any good, how many ships have a line of fire on you, which green ships are around, do they act sane etc. Start with counting green and red ships. Study their positioning. Do you have an advantage you can exploit? Or is the situation still unclear? If you push, will you get focused? Is a red ship vulnerable? Learning to focus on 1 red, get a kill and exploit your advantage as other reds are now vulnerable. I am not a BB main, but my initial advice would be: at game start move to a position at medium range with some cover, probably on one of the flanks but not hugging the border. Try to have a spot where you can fire at enemy cruisers. Focus on radar cruisers and kill them. Shoot at DDs if they get spotted, even when you have AP loaded. Taking even a few K hp from a DD can make the difference between win and lose. GL HF

If you think short gun range only means you cannot lob long range shells, you have a pretty limited grasp of WoWs tactics. The most important advantage of range is flexibility. The ability to avoid being focused, to kite away and disengage when needed. If your ship is woefully short ranged, you are at a severe disadvantage, because you lack flexibility in your tactical positioning.

Your grasp of statistics is weak. In a random distribution it would be suspect if this kind of distribution did not happen from time to time. Human psychology takes care of the rest.
