Two gripes catch 90% of all game issues, and they are connected: - the deep incompetence of as much as half the players. Some of this is caused by inexperience, but often it is simply obstinate refusal to think or learn. - the crappy attitude of WG. Their unwillingness to make WoWs fun to play. Their greed. Their disdain for their player base. Their intentional creating issues for the game in ham fisted attempts to earn more money from it. Ofc WGs attitude towards the game promotes player incompetence. So there you have it. 90% of all irritation is caused by those two factors.

I am afraid for average Joe they are not. Airstrikes you can see coming. Torps you can't, that is average Joe can't.

Now if the whales just oblige WG and spend an obscene amount of money on premium subs, WG can move on and introduce the next game killing money grabbing gimmick. Yeehaw

I would start like this: when you are the determining factor in securing victory on your flank or cap, and this turns out to be decisive for the entire battle.

The problem with WG and WoWs is they only look at how much they can get away with while grabbing as much moneh as they can, rather than trying to improve the game and make it fun. It's a shitty attitude that will degrade the game more and more. Too bad.

DD mounts had weather or splinter protection only. If you add armour it's called a cruiser.

Skane seems to be a mixed blessing in brawls. They have no smoke and can't face many stronger DDs. Torps are nice. So their success is variabele and also dependent on a decent team.

Why the Italian BBs out of all other options

I was going to write my own reasoning, but you pretty much summed it up. 6 points. It could be excellent and it still has potential, but WG is very effective at annoying the crap out of everyone. So 8 for the current game, -1 for annoying crap and another -1 for WG being arrogant jerks.

Maybe there is a correlation between two types of miscomprehension?
