This is what's wrong with the game. And adding insult to injury is the realisation that WG does this on purpose. I will not send 1 cent to the greedy bunch of shites.

Overpen mechanics in WoWs are just pathetic. Irl ships were built of shipbuilding steel, about 5/8" or 15 mm. That's what's needed for strength. It does not stop anything. HE blows large holes in it. Then you had protective plating. 1 to about 3" over said 5/8" plating. With medium or large guns you could fire CP or SAP at it, which would penetrate and explode inside with a good time fuse. And then you have APC for thick armour. Overpen mechanics in WoWs are a completely artificial nonsense having nothing to do with reality. It is designed to give high tier ship an artificial advantage over low tier ships. Why? High tier ships already have huge advantages in guns and armour. It is only intended to frustrate you into buying high tier premiums. Typical WG scummy trashing the game for commercial purposes

Nothing yet. I will get my crates just before Xmas so that if I get premium time I can use it during the holidays.

I think they are OK but not special. I found Moltke disappointing because of her weak guns.

Depends on whether you are crazy or boring

You can get 20-30% advantage in WoWs by paying your way. But you can get half of that also by modest F2P use of camos, flags, good premium ships. The difference between players can be 100-500%. You do the math

WG ofc plays quite heavily on fomo. As a player you are constantly enticed to play more to get stuff: rewards, ships, you name it. Many of us have been burned out on the game or have felt signs of burning out. So for me it is essential to manage myself to keep in control of WGs constant attempts to manipulate me. One of the ways to do this is having a clear view of a limited number of goals I want to achieve. I limit the number of grinds I am doing at any one time. Also, after getting a number of premiums that were being pulled, I found out I did not play them because I don't like fatties like Thunderer, Ohio and Stalinium. Long intro to my question. When have you really regretted missing out on a ship? For me it is Smaland. I could not get enough fxp in time. And perhaps Haida. Which one did you miss that you really regret not having?
